Mia knew exactly what Naomi was up to, but she kept quiet. Molly knew too, and she didn't say a word either. Leo, the most aware of all, was the least inclined to speak up.

Only Anya, naive and inexperienced, thought her great-aunt simply wanted to give her parents a gift. She politely said, "Uncle, Aunt, I'm already causing enough trouble staying at your place. No need to send gifts to my parents. It should be our family giving gifts to you." Leo placed a piece of salmon on Anya's plate, "We've already bought it, just take it back with you. No need for formalities."

"Chad-"

A straightforward man urged, "Come on, eat up. No point just calling my name; it won't fill you up."

Naomi chuckled, "Anya, don't be so polite with your great-aunt. One of these days, your uncle, your grandfather, and I will visit your parents."

"Ah?"

Mia and Molly exchanged glances and stifled their laughter.

By the end of the meal, Anya was utterly confused.

As they were leaving, Mia called her husband, who knew her location and planned to come over. Mia took her still-sleeping son, "I won't go to Leo's place then, I'll just meet my husband."

Hansen declared, "I'm full and satisfied. Time to go home, play some video games, and then sleep." Naomi and Bruce naturally had to accompany Hansen back.

Molly linked arms with Chad, "Shopping spree on Chad's dime."

The family tacitly left the young couple alone, knowing Anya would leave tomorrow. They wanted to give them some alone time this afternoon.

Chad, with his arm around his little wife, announced, "Then we're off."

Shortly after, Andre's car pulled up. The driver stepped out, "Ma'am, the president sent me to pick you and Henry up for the ferry."

Mia got into the car with her son.

After seeing off the rest of the family, only the young couple remained at the door. "Chad, what are we going to do?"

Leo looked down, holding Anya's hand, "Come on, I'll take you ice skating. Ever tried it?"

Anya shook her head, "I can't."

"I'm here."

...

Andre's car stopped by the ferry. On the lake, a small two-story white boat slowly approached the shore. Henry, having had his nap, was woken up by his mother and looked around in confusion at the unfamiliar surroundings.

A distinguished man stepped off the boat, always dressed in a suit, even on weekends with friends. It seemed he was accustomed to such attire.

He walked straight to the car and opened the door. "Daddy-" Henry's clear call instantly filled Andre's heart with sweetness.

"Hey! Son, you came to see Dad." Andre lifted his awake son.

Mia, holding an umbrella, stepped out, "Husband, I hope I'm not disturbing your reunion?"

Andre smiled faintly, "With me here, only others can disturb Mrs. Cedillo's enjoyment. You won't disturb anyone."

Mia's heart fluttered with joy, she giggled, "Husband, keep a low profile. I'll enjoy myself in a bit. You do what you need to; don't mind me."

After bringing his wife and son onto the boat, they found about five or six people inside. Mia didn't know any of them, and each man had a female companion.

"I've long heard of Mrs. Cedillo's fame, glad to finally see you today," joked a man nearby, noticing the curious Henry in Andre's arms. "Wow, today's a real treat to also meet Andre's adorable Henry."

Mia, unembarrassed, joked naturally, "What kind of fame of mine have you all heard about?"

"The most famous, of course, is your way of keeping your husband in line. Now, when Andre is out, nine out of ten sentences are about his beloved wife at home. Just now, Andre saw you from afar and personally came down to greet you, even worried about you holding the child too long."

Sitting by the tea table, Andre poured his wife a cup of tea, "Try this, the tea is bitter but refreshing, perfect for cooling down."

Henry, seeing his mom eat or drink anything, watched her mouth like a hawk, "Dad, baba."

Andre turned back, speaking gently, "You can't drink this. Let me make you a bottle of formula."

Handing his child to Mia, he went to prepare it while the group engaged Mia in casual conversation, trying to build a rapport.

"What did you have for lunch?" Andre asked while preparing.

"We went to Majestic Dining Enclave. Dad paid, Molly and I didn't hold back on choosing the pricier options."

Andre's eyes twinkled with amusement, "The old man must be feeling the pinch now."

"He says he's the chairman, he can afford it," answered Mia.

After chatting through lunch, the boat reached the center of the serene lake, its green waters shimmering. Mia admired the scenery around her, and soon, many of the people who had come over to chat had left.

Henry was in his father's arms at the bow, among a group fishing, nestled against his father, joining in the fishing.

The pleasure of fishing wasn't in the catch but in the comfort of the chairs, the only difference being Andre multitasking as a doting father. Discussions ranged from international affairs to the price of fish, from droughts and floods to unexplored territories. Perhaps a single conversation could lead to a contract worth billions.

Only Henry was fully engaged, watching over his bottle, and after finishing his formula, he looked up at his father, "Dad, ah~" "Finished? Sit up and join Dad in fishing." Andre set his son on his lap, both in matching postures, looking out over the water.

After basking for a while, Mia came to take her son, though Henry was reluctant to leave his father.

Mia, tired of the excessive flattery from the back, chose to stay at the bow, watching the few men fish.

The heatwave hit, the fan swaying left and right, Henry's fair cheeks flushed pink, his neck and underarms sweaty.

Anya, however, was freezing on the hot day, considering renting a jacket. "Chad, it's so cold on the ice rink."

Leo held Anya's hands, "You'll warm up once you start moving."

Anya, in her ice skates, could barely stand steady on the ice, nearly falling as she entered, luckily, Leo caught her in time.

Anya realized that ice skating was an excuse to cling to Chad. Her arms wrapped around Leo's waist; it was the only way she felt safe from falling.

Leo, leaning on the railing with the advantage of his height, looked down at his timid girlfriend, a smile hidden in his lips. "Coming ice skating just to cling to your boyfriend, everyone's watching you."

Anya also wanted to stand firm, but as soon as she steadied herself holding Leo's hand, he'd deliberately nudge her, scaring the novice into clutching Leo tighter.

Leo laughed heartily, "Scaredy-cat, Mia was so brave when she learned to skate. She almost broke her arm."

The girl in his arms looked up at Leo, "Did my aunt learn it then?"

Leo: "No, she didn't."

"What about my godmother?"

"She's even clumsier, with worse balance."

Anya felt even more nervous.

Later on, Leo stopped teasing Anya. Taking her hand, he began to teach her seriously, "Skate boldly. Even if you really fall, I'll catch you in my arms before you can hurt yourself." Anya skated, her gaze fixed on her feet.

"Look up, look at me."

Anya lowered her head, continuing to stare at her feet.
