In the evening, Chad came home, carrying his little nephew who'd had his fill, and shared some of the day's funny stories. "Just like Molly, he's either chewing on my police badge or my medals." Curious Mia hopped online to chat with her friend, "What medals? Molly, what did you get into?"

Molly, reminded of an embarrassing moment, quickly diverted, "Let's not go there. What were you about to say?"

"Annie."

"Huh?" Molly immediately perked up, "Is she involved with my Chad?"

"Nope, not your Chad, but looks like she's got something going with your godbrother."

Molly's emotions were all over the place, but she calmed down, "As long as she's not with my Chad, I'm good. But what's up with her and my god brother? You mean Conner, right?"

Mia nodded and sighed, "I was going to dig into it, but tonight your nephew almost choked on a cucumber, and I didn't get the chance to finish my question or get any details."

"How do you know they're involved?" Molly's curiosity was piqued.

Mia explained, "This afternoon, Henry was taken to the police station by Conner, and when your brother and I went to pick him up from Conner's hotel, I overheard a bit of Conner's chat with your Andre." The Cedillo family often had unique curiosities, like Jade asking, "Why just bits and pieces?"

"Well... I ate Henry's lollipop, and he started crying. I had to calm him down, and by the time he was settled, your Andre's conversation was over. Oh, and that lollipop was from Annie.”

Molly suggested, "Alright, pal, let's swap intel. You replace out what's going on between Annie and Conner, and I'll dig into Chad's counterfeit case. Sound like a plan? Don't you want to know who made that fake $50?" "Deal."

They both agreed instantly.

The next morning, as Leo headed to work, he spotted a Rolls-Royce Phantom boldly parked at the office entrance. The security didn't dare ask it to move, and the passing office workers couldn't help but stare. Leo lived nearby, so he walked to work, and as he was about to enter, the car's horn grabbed his attention. Everyone else stopped, but Leo continued towards the building.

Conner rolled down the window, calling out, "Leo."

Leo turned, surprised, "Uncle?"

With the morning crowd, seeing Leo know the luxury car owner made some people do a double-take.

Ignoring the looks, Leo walked over to Conner's car, opened the passenger door, and got in. "Uncle, what's up?"

Conner took out his laptop, "Leo, are you busy this afternoon? I need you to check if this surveillance footage has been tampered with. You can't take the laptop or the video with you; it's a family secret."

Leo opened the laptop, not waiting for instructions, and started working on it, "Uncle, is it this video?"

Conner was taken aback, "You found it that fast?"

Leo replied, "Uncle, the video's on this hard drive. I could access your surveillance from my laptop. It's not secure at all."

Conner was speechless, realizing there's always a bigger fish.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Leo swiftly tapped away on the laptop. Soon, a call from Anya came through, and Leo quickly handed the laptop to Conner, "Uncle, meet me at my place tonight. I'm nearly late for work, gotta clock in. I'll check it tonight. I've locked the video on your laptop, so it's safe now, no hackers can get in. I'm off..."

The video call ended, and Anya's call came through.

He answered quickly, "Hey, Anya, I'm on my way."

"Chad, did you stay up late studying again? You've only got four minutes before you're late.”

"I bumped into Uncle Conner. I'll snap a pic for you from my desk soon."

Leo waved to Conner and dashed into the office building, clocked in, and hopped into the elevator.

Almost being late had its perks-no one else was in the elevator with him.

Otherwise, in this building, just waiting for the lift could take two or three tries before you got a ride.

Since Anya went on a trip, she often forgot to chat with her boyfriend. Leo set a rule that she wakes up early to call him.

And he would send her a photo from his desk as a daily update.

They both got used to this routine.

Anya hadn't received a photo from Leo yet today, and seeing he was about to be late, she hurriedly called.

Conner watched Leo run off, sent a message to his brother, "Sigh, Leo's looking pretty thin."

Andre looked at the message, a hint of concern in his eyes.

Behind him, his little chubby son stood on his office chair, fiddling with it.

Back to back, father and son, Henry occasionally cooed or nibbled on the leather chair.

"Daddy, moo- buh buh."

Andre turned, picked up his drooling son with one hand, and hugged the little guy close, abandoning any thoughts of work.

Mia and Naomi were out shopping, leaving the kid behind. Hansen and Harry, along with other elders, had been inspired by an ad to go on a mountain retreat, sending him off to a summer villa in the morning.

With no one else at home, the little one was left with his dad for the day.

Mia and Naomi shopped for the whole family.

After men's clothes, they hit the baby section, then elder's clothing, before finally shopping for themselves.

Mia said, "From morning till noon, we've burned just enough calories. Let's try on some smaller dresses."

Naomi chuckled, "You've got a way with words."

They bought a lot, and Naomi didn't want her sister-in-law to carry bags because of her past wrist issues. Mia, playing the younger card, didn't relent. So, Mia suggested, "Naomi, let's have the store deliver everything for us." At the service desk, noting that men's clothing made up most of their purchases, followed by kids'.

Naomi sighed, "If women don't handle adding clothes to the household, relying on men just doesn't cut it. Since your brother got married, if I didn't pick out his outfits, he'd go out looking a mess."

Mia replied, "My husband's clothes are easy to match, but he's lazy. Every time he comes home, he doesn't hang them up. They're always wrinkled. And my boy is a mess-drool, snot, food, you name it, it's on his little tummy." After sharing their complaints, both couldn't help but laugh.

In the afternoon, as folks were heading home, a black sedan sat parked by an office building. The man in the driver's seat held a little chubby kid, window up, watching the crowd of workers heading home.
