Anya zipped past, pushing the cart while keeping her ears tuned to the conversation. The young woman, not yet married, voiced her concerns, "When do you think is the right time to start a family?"

Molly chuckled, "Whenever it feels right. My sister-in-law and I just went with the flow. If a baby came, we welcomed it; if not, we enjoyed our freedom. Trust me, when it happens, Leo will be there every step of the way." Anya's cheeks turned a shade of pink. "I'm still young; it's not really on my radar yet."

As the trio strolled into the mall, Molly noticed Mia still cradling her little one. "Hey Mia, why don't you put him in the stroller?"

Mia shook her head, holding her baby tighter. "I feel safer this way."

The baby clung to his mom's neck, and Anya looked eager to hold him. Mia reassured her, "You can hold him later, Auntie."

Molly busied herself picking out gifts, while Mia browsed for something special for her son. Anya, pushing the empty stroller, alternated between handing Henry snacks and offering him his sippy cup.

Meanwhile, lurking in the shadows, a group of people followed them, keeping their eyes on Molly. "Is that her?"

"Yeah, that's Chad's wife. Just had a baby. We followed her from the hospital," Taylor stepped forward, her eyes fixed on Molly with venom.

"Who are the other two women?" a man asked.

Taylor shrugged, "Doesn't matter. We're here for one person. She's messed with our operations too many times. We've got our escape plan ready, so let's give Chad a parting gift."

"What about Gregory's mom?" the man pressed.

Taylor sneered, "Betray us, and there's no happy ending."

She leaned into the man, slipping a dagger into his waistband. "Gregory was just a fling. You know who my heart belongs to. After this, we're out of here. We've got more than enough to enjoy life." The man held the dagger, "Let's wait until they're somewhere quieter."

"With more people around, it's easier to disappear," Taylor countered.

"But it's also easier to get caught."

Taylor insisted, "If you take down Chad's beloved, you'll be a hero in our circles. He's been a pain for too long. Plus, I've got our exit all planned out."

Buoyed by her confidence, the man moved toward the trio.

Molly held up a bracelet and a charm, asking Mia, "Which one do you think makes a better gift?"

Mia turned, spotting the knife tucked in the man's coat.

In a flash, as the man lunged at Molly, Mia turned swiftly, shielding Molly with her body. When the man drew his knife, Mia, unable to fight while holding her child, kicked instinctively. He sidestepped, revealing he had some training.

He then aimed for Molly.

Mia stepped in, taking the blow meant for Molly.

Blood trickled from her arm, and Henry began to cry, "Mommy."

The shoppers on the first floor were too stunned to react, and Anya, pale with fear, rushed forward to shield Molly, "Auntie, you're bleeding."

Molly, confused, saw the knife was meant for her and looked at Mia's arm. "Mia!"

Someone shouted, "Security, there's an attack!"

Onlookers peered over from the upper floors, including Annie, who was also searching for baby gifts. She burried down, leaping from the escalator to the first floor,

Seeing the chaos, the man tried to escape. Mia handed Henry to Anya, "Hold Henry, watch over your aunt."

She grabbed a decorative board from a table and smashed it over the man's head.

Annie paused, impressed by her aim.

The man staggered, and Mia was on him in seconds, delivering a kick to the back of his knee, forcing him down. As he tried to get up, Taylor deserted him, and he attempted to follow.

Annie recognized the calm woman, her mind flashing back to a case Chad had mentioned. "That's her, the suspect!"

She watched Mia, who delivered a

kick to the man's head, knocking him out. Mia taunted, "With your half-baked skills, you dared to challenge me? Today, I'll show you what you've gotten yourself into."

Satisfied, Annie chased after Taylor.

In the hall, the man, brandishing his knife, prepared to use Mia as a hostage.

"Mummy."

Henry's cries echoed, "Mommy..."

Molly, pulling Anya back, urged, "Let's move, give Mia space."

As the man approached, security hesitated, wary of his knife. Mia seized the moment, striking his neck with the edge of her hand.

His vision blurred, and he staggered, unable to stand.

Mia disarmed him, stabbing his arm before kicking him down, ensuring he couldn't fight back. Once he was subdued, Mia stepped back, letting security take over. She dropped the knife, exhaling deeply.

Henry continued to wail for his mom.

Mia glanced at Molly, then turned away, determined to catch the woman she recognized as an accomplice.

Molly, holding Anya and a sobbing Henry, reassured them, "It's okay, Mia's handling it. Let's call the police."

Mia ran out, drawn by the sound of a familiar scuffle. She spotted Officer Chapman. As the woman turned to flee, Mia blocked her path.

The blood on her arm looked intimidating.

Mia clenched her fists, her voice steady, "I've seen people asking for trouble, but never someone who walks right into it."
