I was woken up by Simon shaking my shoulder. My eyes popped open to look at him. I pulled the blanket over my mate more hiding her from his eyes.

Simon chuckled at me before walking out. He didn't need to say anything, I knew it was my turn for watch. Getting up I stretched before walking out of the tent. Simon and I talked for a few minutes before he went to get some sleep. Deciding that I didn't want to wake up Bianca I woke up my twin instead. I told her that we should let our mates sleep and do the watch without them.

Acaisia and I usually spent every second of every day together. We didn't even go on missions without each other. Ever since meeting our mates we had barely spent any time together. It had only been a few days but it feels like a lifetime. My twin had agreed and a short while later she came out of her tent. I didn't miss the black hoodie she was wearing that clearly belonged to her mate.

Acaisia and I talked about our mates for a while. She gave me s**t for letting Bianca come with how distracted she was acting. I was furious more with myself than my twin. Guilt was already nearly consuming me without Acaisia making it worse. We also talked about her mate as well. Acaisia closed down and grumbled the whole time but I knew I was getting through to her. It was so obvious that Bou is in love with her. I don't understand why she keeps pulling away.

The more I thought about it though, the more I understood. If Bianca would have f****d me and rejected me like I was nothing I would be devastated. Honestly, I'm not sure how I would even go on with my life without her.

That's how mates work. I don't know how her first mate was able to reject her or how Acaisia was able to go on, but I definitely had a newfound respect for my twin. She went through all of that pain alone, and hid it well. Now she was struggling with herself to trust Bou.

We spent the next couple of hours talking. Acaisia told me that I should take Bianca on a tour around the realms for a while after this was over. I had to admit, I really liked that idea.

Just me and Bianca traveling the realms. I could show her everything, where she came from, not that Hell was exactly nice.. But I could show her the better parts of the Fae realm. I can't wait to show her the realm of the Dragons. Other shifters lived there as well but Dragons usually kept to themselves. They weren't social creatures and didn't like our world all that much.

There was also the Dream realm. It was more dangerous than the others but no one dared f**k with a Morningstar so we would be fine. I could also take her to the Light realm. There were all kinds of creatures there. My favorite being a Griffin.

Some of the creatures there are just that, creatures. Others are shifters, making them have two forms. I could even take her to the world of the Mermaids. It was sort of like a different realm.

Acaisia and I were planning out where to start and where to go when Simon came out of his tent. He told us to go back to our mates as he took over the rest of the watch. Neither my twin or I complained.

Once back in the tent I crawled into the bed behind my mate. Bianca snuggled her back to my front and I wrapped my arm around her. Inhaling her scent I immediately fell asleep.

************

"Baby please wake up." The sexiest voice I've ever heard floated to my ears.

"Hmmm." I hummed as I rolled to it.

Then I heard a giggle.

"Ahkari."

I was being scolded, sort of.

"Hmm?" I hummed again as I popped an eye open.

Bianca was squirming slightly under my arm that was drapped over her. She was smiling at me laying on her back. I pushed my face into her neck and groaned.

"Ahkari I have to pee really bad. I have no idea where to go." She said.

I rolled off of her and got to my feet.

"s**t, sorry baby." I scrambled around to replace the roll of TP.

I put my shoes on then looked to my mate who was sitting on the edge of our bed. Naked.

"f**k. Here." I said as I walked to my suitcase, and pulled out a hoodie and sweatpants. "Put these on and I'll get you some shoes. You have to pee outside but I'll go with you." I told her.

Bianca giggled but dressed quickly. I took her outside and over to a tree. I kept watch around us as she did her buisness. I was happy that she didn't ask me to move away from her. It wasn't like I was watching her, I was just hovering. Making sure that none of the little Fae critters came out of no where. The Fae realm is fun. If you know what to expect. The creatures here were either really nice or really mean.

After my little mate was done we walked back to our tents to replace Simon cooking breakfast. I offered to take over for him so that he could relax a bit. He seemed thankful for that.

"Why didn't we have our shift last night?" Bianca asked me.

"I got up and made Acaisia sit out here with me so that you and Bou could get some sleep." I told her.

Bianca narrowed her eyes at me.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" She asked and I could feel her irritation through the bond.

I turned to face her.

"Because I wanted you to sleep. Not because I think you're weak. Simon woke me up and you looked so peaceful I didn't have the heart to wake you. Besides I wanted to spend some time to talk with my twin." I told her. Bianca folded her arms across her chest.

"|

guess I can understand that. But wake me next time and ask or at least let me know." She demanded.

"Of course." I said then kissed her scowl away.

"So what did you and Acaisia talk about?" She asked after a few more minutes.

"You and Bou mostly." I told her. "I think we planned mine and your honey moon actually." I said it more like a thought than anything.

"Honey moon? Are we getting married?" Bianca asked amused.

I looked into her bright blue eyes.

"Only if you want to." I said with a smile. "Being marked is pretty much like that though. Most mates get some time to spend together after replaceing each other. Like a honey moon. Since usually it happens so fast that mates don't know each other that well at first." I told her.

"So, you and Acaisia just planned our little honey moon." Bianca said amused still.

I shrugged. "Yeah I guess so."

"And where are we going?" She asked me.

I sat down next to her and laced our fingers together.

"I'm going to take you to all the realms. Kinda like traveling the world but this will be worlds." I told her.

Bianca smiled brightly.

"That sounds exciting actually." She said and then her face scrunched up. "How long will we be gone?" She asked.

"Well." I cleared my throat. "In some realms time works a little differently. But as long as we want to I guess. I was thinking maybe a year or two." I told her.

Bianca's eyes bulged.

"A year or two!" She choked out. "What about the BOC? Missions?" She asked.

"We can resume when we get back." I said simply, but my mate was still staring at me like I was insane. "Bianca, once we are fully marked you live for as long as me. Our lives will be connected. Babe, we'll have all the time in the world." I told her. Bianca stared at me as she processed that information. She blinked at me and I could practically see the wheels turning in her head. My poor mate was on the verg of a freak out.

"Hey." I squeezed her hand. "We don't have to do anything you don't want to do alright?" I reassured her.

"I don't plan to make you some housewife or anything like that if thats what you're thinking." I told her as I brought her hand up to my lips to kiss her knuckles.

"I know forever is a long time but if you want to spend it all doing missions then we will. It was always my plan anyways."

Bianca seemed to calm after that.

"I just.." She started but we were interrupted by Simon.

"Can you get your sister up? We need to head out soon." He asked.

I raised an eyebrow at him.

"You've never had a problem waking her up yourself before Simon. And you walked into my tent to wake me up." I grumbled.

"Yes, but your mate doesn't hate my guts. I think if I went in there to wake her up he would surely kill me." Simon gave me an amused smile.

I rolled my eyes.

"You're afraid of a lesser Demon." I mumbled then turned to my mate. "No offense."

Bianca only smiled in return.

"I'm not scared of him, but I am scared of Acaisia. Who knows what she would do if I pissed off her mate." He teased.

"Fine!" I shouted at him as I threw my hands up.

I mindlinked my twin telling her to get her a*s up. It took a while for her and Bou to emerge from the tent, but when they did all of us couldn't help but snicker.

Bou walked out seconds after his mate, sporting a boner in his pants. He didn't even try to hide it. In fact, it seemed he was trying to show off. Bianca and I were desperately trying to hold in our laughter as we watched the couple bicker.

Before Acaisia could get too worked up Bou calmed her down though. That was something that didn't happen often.

Acaisia was usually good at controlling herself. But when she got mad everyone was a target. I knew it was an after effect of being rejected. Usually I was the only one that was able to calm her down.

That's why that s**t with Renece was so damn hard. I thought Acaisia was going to kill her and I was having a hard time even wanting to stop her. Yet here Bou was, one simple look calmed her down. She totally wants him.

After everyone had eaten we cleaned up the camp and headed into the cave. I told Bianca about the protection spell we were doing and that it was going to hurt. At least it was supposed to. Bou got his little rush of pain but Bianca just stared at me waiting for her own pain to hit.

Only when it did it hit my head. I winced at the familiar pain but otherwise was fine. That was weird. I f*****g hope that it worked.

I held Bianca's hand as we walked through the darkness. She stayed close to me thankfully. It didn't take us long to get the barrier.

Once we were there I sensed those things behind us. Acaisia and I shared a look before pushing our mates through. We were about to jump through as well but Acaisia and I were yanked back.

The man made of leech creatures started to attack us. Acaisia pulled her sword out and started swinging. Once again nothing we did seemed to work. The creatures jumped onto me slicing my stomach open.

I gripped my abdomen as I fell to the floor. I can't let any of them get into me. Just when I was about to crawl through the barrier I was yanked back and thrown into Bianca's arms. My eyes looked up in time to see Bou jump through the barrier again. Seconds later he was falling back though. Simon went flying to the side and Acaisia fell in Bou's lap.

Bianca was crying behind me and I tried to turn in her lap but the pain from my open stomach stopped me. I seethed through gritted teether. Bianca pulled her arm up to my mouth. "Feed from me." She told me and I didn't hesitate.

I sunk my teeth into her arm, and sucked her sweet blood into my mouth. Fuuuuuccck, her blood tastes so f*****g good. I didn't take much so that she wasn't weak.

Retracting my fangs I leaned back against her as my wound closed. I looked up into Bianca's tear filled eyes as she watched my wound close. She blew out a breath and her body relaxed.

A few moments later we were walking to the castle. I could tell that Bianca was still shaken up. We needed to get to the castle so that I could get her alone. As soon as I could reassure her that I was fine I think she'll feel better.

The castle seemed off, just like the rest of this little world. The five of us inspected the castle until we came to an entire floor of bedrooms. Simon told us to stay close while he went to investigate the rest of the castle. Bianca pulled me into a room across the hall from Simon's.

Once she closed the door I thought I was going to get an earful. I know that Bianca wants to be taken seriously as a fighter. It wasn't that I thought she was weak. She's my mate and my main priority would always be her safety. It wasn't like we intended to push them away.

So, when Bianca jumped into my arms and started sobbing I was taken back.

"I felt your pain. I thought you were going to die." She blubbered.

It took me a moment, but I wrapped my arms around her and started rubbing her back up and down.

"I'm sorry Bianca. We tried to jump in after you but that thing started attacking." I told her. "I didn't mean for you to feel my pain."

Bianca pulled back to look into my eyes.

"How did you hold it together so well? That s**t hurt." She asked.

I shrugged.

"Used to it I guess." I told her.

"I thought you and Acaisia didn't join the BOC until this past summer?" She asked confused.

I gave her an awkward smile.

"Yeah but... Our family has been through a lot." Was all I said.

Bianca looked like she wanted to question me more but thankfully she didn't. I didn't want to have to tell her how it was my siblings, parents, and grandfather that had toughened us up.

It wasn't like they tortured us but they didn't go easy on us. We would never have learned that way. And unfortunately when you are a Morningstar there is a target on your back. We had to be raised to fight. We had to be prepared.

Especially after what happened to Akeehla. Everything was so much worse after that.

"I need a nap after all of that." Bianca said as she blew out a shaky breath.

"Come on." I dragged her to the bed and pulled the covers back.

Bianca crawled in and I checked out the room making sure there were no bombs or something. After clearing the room and changing I crawled into the bed with her. It was the middle of the day here but I had to admit that I was feeling tired too, plus there's no windows. Sleep claimed me fast.
