Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 388 Bon Voyage

With her eyebrows raised, Doris gave him an enchanting smile. "I didn't say anything. Oh, bon voyage and take care!"

"Thank you," replied Jay warmly. It was rare for Doris to say such warm words to him, so Jay kissed her forehead excitedly in return.

"Okay, bye." Doris bid him farewell and waved her hand at him.

Jay was in a good mood. He didn't expect that Doris' amnesia would turn her into a gentle woman. Well, although she was quite different, it gave him a wonderful feeling.

"You guys better keep an eye on Doris. If she disappears again for no reason under your watch, you'd be fired immediately. Do you hear me?" Jay ordered the servants harshly after walking out of the room. "Yes, sir," the servants answered in unison, all of them trembling with fear.

After Jay left, Doris walked out of the dining room. Maybe because the breakfast was too sumptuous, or maybe it was because she didn't have a good dinner at Felix's home yesterday, she ate a lot this morning.

When she came out early in the morning to take a walk, the servants immediately surrounded her. "Mrs. Fang, we are sorry, but did you hear what Mr. Fang said just now? Please don't go out on your own again, okay?"

Doris thought for a while and asked, "Okay, I won't go out. But can you tell me what kind of person Jay is?"

She was eager and determined to replace out more about Jay.

The servants looked at each other knowingly and replied with a chuckle, "Mrs. Fang, do you really have to ask us? Of course, our master is a good man. Well, he is a good man indeed!"

Because they were employed by Jay, it was not possible forthem to badmouth him against his back.

Doris was also aware of that.

She probed further nonetheless, "Well, what do you really think of Jay?"

"Our master is excellent in every way!" the servants all agreed in one voice.

"Well, he is good in everything he does? You are really good at flattering him!" Knowing that she wouldn't be able to get any information from the servants anyway, she stopped asking. Doris turned around and went upstairs.

But what kind of a person was Jay really?

The more Doris thought about it, the more upset she became because she wasn't able to get any answers. She went back to her room and lay on the bed. Then she took out her phone and decided to search for the name Jay Fang on the web.

However, the result of her search term wasn't pleasing to the eyes. What came into view was about the famous playboy in the city, Mr. Fang, who stayed overnight in a seven star hotel with a movie star. Doris closed her eyes and blinked hard. All the articles and comments she could replace about Jay were all negative and not favorable to him.

There was not a single positive comment at all.

Would such a man be able to really fall in love with her?

The suspicion in Doris' heart grew.

She browsed around the web again but wasn't able to replace out who the woman on the wallpaper of Jay's phone was. She was a little discouraged.

She thought that with her pregnancy, her relationship with Jay would naturally be alienated and distant. He was such a dissolute playboy and was always surrounded by many women. Would he be contented to live a quiet life with her now?

Could it be that he didn't go to the company at all, but went on a date with a beautiful woman instead?

The more Doris thought about it, the more depressed and insecure she became. With her memory loss, she didn't have any feelings for Jay at the moment, but he was her nominal husband and she was heavily pregnant. How could he leave her here by herself? She felt disgusted!

Although Doris's memory was a mess, her instinct and personality basically stayed the same and she was still as possessive as before. Or to put it bluntly, it could be said that she still felt somewhat a little inferior and undeserving.

She walked out dejectedly and looked downstairs.

The servants were standing at the stairs in order, like two rows of dignified soldiers, keeping a strict watch over Doris.

Was Jay keeping her under house arrest and preventing her to go out?

Could she go out through the window, perhaps?

But she was heavily pregnant!

She walked to the window and leaned over to gauge the height. It didn't seem to be very high. After all, she was only on the second floor.

Moreover, the baby was inside her belly. As long as she was fine, the baby would be fine as well, right?

Doris had retained her stubbornness and was still as bold as ever. She cut the bed sheet with scissors and tied it together to make a rope. To hold it, she tightly tied it to the bookshelf and she carefully slid down from the window successfully.

While walking down the street, she realized that she didn't bring any money with her. She could use mobile phone payment, but it was not possible because she had forgotten the password. She had no other choice but to call Nancy up.

That time, Nancy was busy at work. Although she was immersed in a lot of controversy because of the rumors, she was still as dedicated to her work as before. Her first and foremost duty was to save people. Ever since Anna had left, Jessie's attitude towards Nancy had relatively improved for the better.

No matter what, the two of them did not treat each other as hostile as they did before. In other words, the hostility was just one-sided on Jessie's part because Nancy had never been hostile towards Jessie. With the passing of time, Jessie now had a better understanding of Nancy's temperament as they worked together.

As she recalled her behavior in the past. Jessie also felt that she had gone overboard on some instances.

Nancy tiredly walked out of the operating room.

Jessie stood at the door while waiting for her.

With an undisguised fatigue on her face, Nancy gave her a smile. She knew that Jessie had taken on a lot of her workload off her shoulders for her while she was away.

For that, Nancy was grateful to her.

"Director Jessie, didn't you have an operation this morning?" inquired Nancy.

"I just had a minor operation, nothing complicated. Just a fracture. It was easy," Jessie replied with a smile. Nancy wanted to go back to her office to rest, but Jessie didn't have any intention of leaving. It was obvious that Jessie still had to say a piece of her mind to Nancy.

"Is something wrong?" Nancy stopped and talked to her.

"Director Nancy, you have misunderstood me in the past, but now, please do trust me. Every word I am saying to you is sincere. I swear."

"Director Jessie, please don't be so polite. Is there anything you want to tell me?" Seeing the anxious look on Jessie's apologetic face, Nancy felt somewhat embarrassed.

Jessie rubbed her hands together and blushed. "Nancy, I found out that Anna is somehow related with Derrick. You'd better be careful and pay attention to them. I know that there are rumors about you and Edward on the internet. Of course, I know that they are nonsense and not true, but this has caused you a lot of trouble nevertheless. You have helped me a lot in the past, and I hope I can repay you and help you as much as I can!"

What could Anna's connection be with Derrick?

Since when had they gotten together?

Did Derrick's hostility towards Charles have anything to do with Anna?

Was Anna taking her revenge?

As she considered the probability, Nancy took a deep breath and earnestly replied, "Thank you, Director Jessie."

Director Nancy, don't be so formal with me. I was used

to be bewitched by Anna before. But now, I just feel sorry for you. I hope you can forgive me!"

Nancy shook her head. "Don't worry, I have always thought you are a good person. I'll keep in mind what you said, and will pay more attention to it."

"That's good, that's good. I'll be leaving now," Jessie uttered and walked to her office.

"Okay," Nancy replied in a low voice.

She went back to her office in a slow pace, and thought to herself. Anna was still the same old Anna, but why was Anna always looking for ways to make trouble?

With a sigh, Nancy took out her phone and wanted to call Charles. However, she found out that there were countless missed calls from Doris as she looked at the screen. Doris' temperament had been so sensitive recently that Nancy didn't know what she was going to do next time they met.

Nancy immediately called her back, but all she got was a reminder that her phone was powered off.

As she played with her phone, Nancy felt stranger by the minute. Recalling Doris's strange tone of voice last time they talked, Nancy tried to call her back again. However, Doris's phone was still powered off.

With her eyelids twitching, Nancy felt a little uneasy, so she decided to call Jay up.
