Sanmino – small (but has apparently reached puberty) faharni/quippa girl. Daughter of High Priest Agrildrin.

Sapphire – a magic cyan light which hangs in Midbar’s sky and turns on and off in a 24 hour cycle, imitating Earth’s days and seasons, in order to allow plants to photosynthesize better and for humans to better use their color vision.

Sapphire Dark – time when the sapphires turn off.

Sapphire Light – time when the sapphires turn on.

Screld – a faharni nibey Trulist. Son of Garis and Yoldasia, half-brother of Aflingia and Miandri.

Scriptural Winemakerism – Form of Winemakerism which tries to faithfully follow Winemaker scripture.

Scripturism – religion in the Kledris universe which follows Ta’haradit scripture literally.

ScholarsYohoists who wrote the Book of Scholars.

Scholarly Yohoism – the main form of Yohoism in the centuries preceding the Cataclysm. It has a strong emphasis on the Book of Scholars rather than Yohoist scripture.

Sea Midbar’s only sea. It’s located in the middle of the Great Basin and is circular. Central Island is located in it’s center.

Semic – language associated strongly with glidacs and Yohoism. Has long been the language of intellectuals and a lot of technical words (including Aleph and Bet) are derived from it. Now mostly spoken only by Haprihagfen.

Sephir Credmin – where Beit Melden is located.

Sex Craze – a notorious Old Magic spell that gives people an increasingly strong desire to have penile-vaginal sex and they will go mad if they don’t get it. The only known way to break it is to have penile-vagina sex.

Shelka Trulist goddess of love and indifference.

Shepherd Division – section of Benai Nibeyim that concentrates of breeding nibeyim.

Sherinmardorn – a city that used to exist north of the Great Basin.

Shrine Of Kardria – disused Holy Site in the desert outside the Great Basin.

Siglanti – a ghost town in the south western mountains of Pax.

Sixteen – code name for Dwendra.

Skyskimmer forty sevens – a type of aircraft that was in use around 600 years before the Cataclysm. They could morph between ground effect and normal flight forms.

Sleg (Semic, masculine) – an anav who’s reached puberty but doesn’t have a clan.

Slegmet (Semic, feminine) – an anavah who’s reached puberty but doesn’t have a clan.

Small Sea – the smaller of the two seas in Midbar-Teradriel, where the human colony is located.

Sned – a faharni Trulist hipsick who attends Yoho Temple Acadamy.

Sorority – a group of women who meets to discuss things only of interest to women.

Stone – a young faharni, Haprihagfen anav. Son of River and Kerdac, brother of Breeze and Productive.

Strangler Fig – a member of the genus Ficus which grows as an epiphyte on a tree. It eventually engulfs and kills its host tree and grows into a huge tree itself. At least one species is commonly used as an ornamental plant on Midbar.

Strangler Figs Hotel – a large hotel Laraget. Has two large strangler figs in its grounds.

Streculic – Evil being who deceives people and turns them against Yoho in Yohoism and Winemakerism. The god of knowledge and lies in Trulism and the husband of Briad.

Street Prostitute – any prostitute who isn’t a Temple Prostitute. Illegal in Pax.

Strumeg – a Trulist god.

Suicide bomb spell – instantly breaks down all the complex chemicals in the body, releasing a huge amount of energy, with very little residue causing a very large explosion. Often used by Nuhara terrorists.

Svindac – a schoolboy who lives in Laraget.Ta’haradit – religion in the Kledris universe which is similar to Winemakerism.

Tarasas – a glildac likotz Yohoist who converted to Nuhara. Husband of Mardna. Dwendra’s father.

TargraphPax’s capital, located beside the Sea on the west side of Central Island.

Tarm Valley – a valley in the western mountains of Pax, where Minris and Taunbrit are located.

Taunbrit – village in the Tarm Valley, near Minris.

Telnid – a student at Yoho Temple Academy.

Temple court – group that enforces Trulist religious laws.

Temple of Yoho in Laraget – more normally known as Laraget Temple. A large building on a hill overlooking Laraget. It’s a Trulist temple of the god Yoho.

Temple Prostitute – the only legal type of prostitute in Pax. Carry out their activities in Trulist temples, supposedly as part of worship. Often psychics recruited as young children.

Temple View Heights – a new housing development in Rendamar, positioned on the opposite side of the harbor from the temple, located in the Trulist quarter.

Tianamet Trulist goddess of exploration and ignorance.

Tianamet Lane – a street in Laraget.

Tom – a sleg from Midbar-Malchut. Has been modified by nanotechnology and is obsessed with leaving Midbar so he can save his colony.

Traivanin – a faharni hipsick detective in Laraget police department.

Treaty of Bedrin Pass – an official agreement between Haprihagfen and Benai Nibeyim to avoid conflict, including Haprihagfen not interfering with Benai Nibeyim’s anavim, except for life-or-death emergencies. Unfortunately, they haven’t made a very good job of keeping it.

Trulism – An ancient, polytheistic religion dating back to long before humans left Earth. It’s generally peaceful and politically correct but recruits, mostly psychic, children to work as Temple Prostitutes and forbids Trulist psychics from having sex with each other. The main religion in Pax, followed mostly by faharnis.

Tuld – the president of Pax.

Under Bet – a bad soap opera that’s been playing on the internet since the Cataclysm. Seems to get a large audience although few people admit to liking it.

Universal Winemakerism – a small Winemaker sect who strongly dislike magic and psychic powers and require their priests to be celibate.

University Midbar-Binah has only one university, located in the western mountain of Pax, north of Minris.

Uratan – country in the mountains on the east side of the Great Basin inhabited mostly by idlan Trulists.

Utnarata Trulist goddess of water and rocks.

Utnisdian – a faharni Trulist hipsick who attends Yoho Temple Academy.

Valdera – a female student at Yoho Temple Academy.

Valley Park – a park in Laraget which contains a wooded valley.

Vadran – a hipsick who attends Yoho Temple Acadamy.

Vardnin – a faharni katchey who’s the Grand Fig Grower.

Velden katcheyah who attends Yoho Temple Acadamy.

Vindian – a port city in southern Pax.

Vine Dresser – a low rank in the Benai Nibeyim Vinegrower Division.

Vinegrower Division – section of Benai Nibeyim concerned with breeding anavim.

Vineyard Magis – a magis associated with Minris Vineyard. There has been more than one Vineyard Magis at once at some times but presently there is only one. All Vineyard Magises are anavot.

Visioning (verb) – psychically observing a small area at a distance, intermediate between astral projection and remote viewing. Often used to check if a place will be safe to teleport to.

Vrenloa – an anavah from Ceralargan.

Walking genetic engineering lab – figure of speech meaning a serious disaster or somebody with serious problems.

Wennifarg – a client of Latchmire who has a legal dispute with Ruashni. Apparently Jaradin’s spouce.

White Day – time in the light cycle when Aleph is in the sky and the sapphires are turned on.

Wiandra – a hipsickah attending Yoho Temple Academy.

Winderin – a Trulist nibeyah priestess at Laraget temple.

Winemakerism – A monotheistic religion derived from Yohoism, from which it differs primarily by recognizing the divinity of Yoho’s Avatar. It’s fairly peaceful and politically correct but considers homosexual relationships to be sinful. The main religion of Hecrin but also the second largest religion in Pax. Most Trulists are less tolerant of Winemakers than they are Nuharas. Followed mostly by idlans.

Wyoclug – poorly understood XT’s only known from Midbar-Malchut.

Yoho – the only god of Yohoism and Winemakerism. Has been assimilated into Trulism as the god of parties and sexual morality.

Yoho Temple Academy – a school in Laraget with a good reputation.

Yoho’s Avatar – according to Winemakerism, Yoho’s son and avatar who lived on Earth after all the humans were killed by a nuclear war and is immortal.

Yohoism – an ancient religion dating from long before humans left Earth. Monotheistic and generally peaceful and fairly politically correct but believe homosexual relationships to be sinful. Only god is Yoho and they don’t believe in Yoho’s Avatar. Became extinct during the Cataclysm but Nuhara, Winemakerism and Trulist Yoho worship are derived from it. Were mostly glildacs.

Yoho’s Party – a large restaurant in Laraget which has facilities for dancing and playing games as well as eating.

Yoldasia – a faharni Trulist nibeyah mage. Controversial for combining associate magic with Old Magic. Wife of Garis. Mother of Miandri and Screld.

XT – any organism that’s not native to Earth.

Zlendis – a magis.

Zonlaria – a faharni Trulist hipsickah who lives in Laraget. Sister of Ildias.
