Chapter 6-2

His words found a way to stab me in the heart like a knife and maybe it was because they were coming from a man that was my mate, but I immediately , found a way to discard those thought off my mind,

He could see me as anything he wanted, I didn’t care.

He had always lived in a bed of roses while I get to work my ass off just to survive everyday, so maybe blaming me for wanting a normal rich life where I could also give myself everything I deserved, worry less about money, and replace my mother in the process was stupid,

"10 million dollars, how’s that?" He uttered, his gaze still filled with that disgusted look, and I widened my eyes in shock,

I had asked for a fortune, but 10 million dollars to me was more than I expected as I had never come across such amount. I had to fucking take this opportunity now that it was presenting itself to me no matter what,

I picked up the pen on the table, and then found th line where I was meant to draw my signature,

As soon as I was done, I raised my gaze back at him,

"I accept Alpha Dexter, I’ll marry you."

ALPHA DEXTER

1 had no idea why I had expected something different from Amelia, something that would make her look like the innocent girl she seemed to be,

Even at the club, I couldn’t bear the thought of my friends trying to see her face because it was almost like I could feel what she was feeling-the fear to take off that mask on her face and that was why I helped her that day,

But I guess I was wrong. She was just like the rest of them. Cunning gold diggers who were simply only after money,

I cleared my throat aloud immediately she accepted the proposal to marry me and then took my gaze away from her,

I must have been so stupid believing the so innocent look on her face,

"All done." She uttered, but I smirked at her,

"You didn’t bother to read it?"

"I don’t think there would be a need for that. The first two pages talk about my dos and don’ts, and I don’t want any of that either. You have the freedom to do whatever you want in the marriage and I won’t ever meddle with anything you do. We would sleep in the same room but not on the same bed to make everyone believe we’re happily married and your likes and dislikes. I could literally guess the rest of them so I think I don’t need to see more."

I cleared my throat aloud,

"That’s good then. We’re leaving."

"I hope all these rules apply to me too? As much as I’ll respect everything I read and stay the hell away from you, I hope you do the same for me too. You don’t meddle in my business." She uttered, with her brows raised,

What a bold little wolf. Her character was one of a kind, making me even curious whether she had other surprises up her sleeve. I clutched my fingers but released them only a few seconds after,

"You don’t have to worry, I won’t ever bother to look at you twice or even show the slightest bit of care when you fall in love with me." I uttered and began to wal away.

Without turning back as I walked, I got into the car and she stepped in about a minute later,

"Where are we heading to?" She questioned

and I turned to look at her,

"To get you a wedding dress, we’re getting married tomorrow."
