The Alpha Mafia King -
Chapter 20
Dorado chemicals where Eureka Oriano had been all along. She was mainly focused on work for the past few days. Chemical Zeta has kept getting lots of attention since it rolled out. She had warned her father not to be too forward, but he had not listened to her.
Lucian Oriano had made an early announcement that La Corporation De Sina would trademark chemical Zeta. Then after it went into the market, there had been solid hateful comments about Chemical Zeta because it did not have the promised trademark.
Then it did not stop there, and some even went as far as to call his company fake. When asked if it was confirmed that Chemical Zeta did not get the La Cooperation De Sina trademark because it was a fake chemical, he got angry. He replied that La Corporation De Sina was outdated and is living in past glory. Within a matter of days, angry customers of La Corporation De Sina came to stone him and his company with their shit chemical. Thankfully, it was Chemical Zeta.
“Miss Eureka, this is a major pitfall for even a big company like Dorado chemicals,” said a female news interviewer. “How do you feel after that stunning advertisement you did for chemical Zeta just to see it pulled out of the market in just one week of its release?”
“I’m not going to lie, and I feel terrible!” Eureka said as if she was talking to Alonso himself.
“Okay, and how are you feeling now when people refer to that advertising you did as the only good thing done by your company?”
“My father’s company,” Eureka corrected.
“But it’s your company too. Your father’s company is yours too.”
Eureka rolled her eyes over. She was being careful not to make any derogatory comment that would bring further implications or give the media something new to talk about. If she did that, the next day, there would be something like this on the news: The Daughter of Lucian Oriano Denied Dorado Chemicals!
“What was the question again?” Eureka asked, pulling herself back into the moment. The interviewer repeated it.
“Oh, that! I think I’ll consider going into acting or something,” Eureka said. “I mean, I’m so beautiful, and people couldn’t resist making purchases right after the chemical rolled out.”
“True, the advertising you did make a lot of people buy that,” the interviewer interjected. “Do you think if your father had not spoken badly about La Corporation De Sina, then chemical Zeta would still be in sales?”
“Why would I think that’s the case? Since when does constructive criticism have anything to do with how people react to purchases?”
“So you’re saying that chemical Zeta being pulled out of the market has nothing to do with your father’s derogatory comment?”
“Nothing like that,” Eureka said. “We are not running a monopolistic system of trade, so everyone has options to buy from. We might have taken a hit, but we will bounce back!”
“What a brilliant response, spoken like a true resurrectionist!”
“Yeah, you can call me that,” Eureka said, smiling sweetly into the camera.
“Alright! Miss Eureka Oriano, thanks for having us, and we certainly do wish Dorado chemicals a huge leap out of this pitfall.”
The five-minute interview was over, and Eureka let out a strangled breath. Her heels clicked on the tiles as she made her way to her father’s office. She threw open the door, and he smiled up at her. She slapped her forehead with her palm.
“You brought this upon yourself just so you know,” Eureka said, sitting and turning her chair from left to right motion.
“I didn’t do anything,” Lucian said. “It’s Alonso who got me f****d up, but I’ll make him pay. He will pay dearly for turning my deal down. He thinks he’s so high and mighty, but I’ll make sure he crumbles.”
“Just don’t do anything stupid this time around,” Eureka said warningly with a pause. “Or else this time around, people might throw deadly acid on you or burn this company to the ground.”
“Let them dare!” her father replied tersely. “So hey, kiddo, are you still seeing the son of a bitch?”
“Who?”
“Alonso, of course! God, it irritates me to call his name.”
“I didn’t know you knew about us,” Eureka said, shooting him a surprised glance.
“My eyes are on the ground, Eureka,” her father assured. “I’ve always known, but I thought that was going to help us. I still can’t believe you were dating him, and he had the nerves to reject my offer. You should break up and do it fast if you haven’t done so already.”
“My relationship with Alonso has nothing to do with your business life, dad,” Eureka said. “I’m not some bargaining chip for you to use. And certainly, who I’m with is my decision.”
Her father laced his hand on the desk, leaning forward before he replied, “I’m giving you an ultimatum of one week to end things with him, or else you wish to see the other side of me, then try me.”
Eureka rising, slammed the desk. “I hate you! I hate you with all my being, and I don’t need a f*****g week to decide. It’s Alonso I want to spend the rest of my life with, and if you’re not cool with my decision, then you can A, k**s my a*s or B, kill yourself. I’m done doing your bidding!”
“Eureka! Come back here!” said her father, but he did not attempt to go after her.
Eureka left the building and headed straight home to get her things from her father’s house. She was going to move in with Alonso right away. She had gotten enough of her father’s bad behavior.
He never took responsibility for his shortcomings. He was always right, proud, whereas he had virtually just a big ego with no common sense. Pride was the devil, and the devil was her father.

Callisto Beaumont applauded Juno for the job well done. Bianco’s mate and future child had been taken out of the picture successfully. Juno reported that Taleela mainly was in the house or out with Mazza but never on her own, making her difficult to eliminate.
Although, he had told Juno that he was not ready to take her out yet. If they made their move too soon, anyone could quickly just put two and two together and know that Juno was responsible. He had also heard that she and Alonso had also gotten close, but it was not something to be worried about yet. They still looked like they could tear each other apart.
“Boss, I asked if there’s anything you wanted?” Beta Laslow Confetti said. Callisto slowly raised his gaze to the man. He had zoned out after receiving the latest information from Juno.
“Yes, call me the others!” Callisto said, adjusting his glasses.
A few minutes later, Laslow returned to the living room joined by Omega Antonio Beaumont and Beta Jamie Elio. All of them had been friends since childhood, including Juno. Although, the four friends were split up into groups of two bosom friends each. Juno and Laslow were closer because they shared Callisto’s way of doing things.
They copied him and made him their role model. However, Antonio, Callisto’s son, and Jamie wanted to be different. Nevertheless, they both never showed contempt for Callisto. They always complied and did his bidding out of fear rather than respect or love.
“Father, you sent for us,” Antonio said after a moment of silence.
“Yeah, I did,” Callisto answered, getting up. “You all need to split up. Jamie and Laslow, you are both going to Russia, and Antonio, you will go to Italy to join Juno.”
“What, father! Why don’t Jamie and I go to Russia, and Laslow should assist Juno?” Antonio protested. “You know how the pairing should be. I work better with Jamie! And besides, I hate Italy.”
“Silence, boy! I have made my decision, and it’s final,” Callisto said, sending him a glare. “Now, the only mission I have for you is to observe and report. Until I ask you to take any other action, that’s all you should do. Anyway, it’s just for two weeks.”
“But what’s there to observe in Russia?” Laslow asked, pressing his nose and making a sniffing sound.
“Exactly, I was coming to that!” Callisto said, beaming up. “Alonso’s casino is in Russia. Jamie, you will have to watch the casino. You know what to do. I don’t care how you do it, even if you would have to gamble away some money.”
“But boss, I’ve never gambled before; I don’t even know how to play any casino games!” Jamie admitted sheepishly.
“You’ll learn a few of the internet,” Callisto said, pushing his glasses with his index finger. “Now, let me finish! I got the most brilliant idea for you, Laslow, when Juno reported to me that he had been inducted as a made man. I have heard that the Makarov family is recruiting, and I want you to join since you’re also of Russian descent. I’ll communicate my idea with you later.”
“Consider it done!” Laslow said with so much confidence that it made Callisto smile. Callisto walked over to his son.
“Son, your job is the simplest of all,” said Callisto, stroking his chin. “You’ll be going to Italy to spice things up. I’ll communicate furthermore to you when I’ve fleshed out the plan on how you’ll do it.”
With all that said, Callisto dispersed the men. He was very pleased with attempting to hit his quarry from all sides. He would touch his businesses and mess with his family, but he won’t know what is hitting him either until it’s too late or dead or both.

RUSSIA
Olga Sidorova was the new underboss for the Makarov family. The reason she qualified for that position remains unclear to everyone in the family, but she was part of the family, and the Don, Mariyanna, had put her there. Consigliere Nestor Volkov remained neutral about things despite his dislike for Mariyanna. He played the role of the gentle courtier, but he served only one master, being Ivan.
Although Ivan was dead in reality, Nestor kept carrying his wishes silently. One thing Ivan never stopped wanting was for Alyona to be found, dead or alive. Nestor understood why and he and those loyal to him kept on searching, and yet for a week after the death of Ivan, Alyona had still not been found.
“Nestor, what’s your position about the whole recruiting that’s been done so far?” Sidorova asked. She was sitting where Ivan had once seated to discuss things with him.
“Well, I think it’s good that this has been done now, considering that we lost a few good men!” Nestor said.
“Do you think there’s a possibility our enemies could use this means to infiltrate us?”
Nestor had already considered all that, and it was why he was at the forefront of this mission. The death of Ivan and a well reputable Capone, talking about Dimitri made him weary to the subject of recruiting anyone. However, it was paramount at this hour that they needed more men to assist with future operations.
“Don’t worry much about it, boss. We have a strict rule for recruiting,” Nestor said, assuring the young woman. “For what it is worth, anyone being recruited must have at least one Russian parent.”
“Alright, I can’t think of any other thing, for now, so you are free to go.”
Meanwhile, in Moscow, Alonso and Piccolo were having what you would call a swell time at the casino. It surprised Alonso that his bosom friend loved to play Russian Roulette, and he was quite an outstanding player. Even after hearing about what happened to Bianco’s mate, Piccolo just offered a sympathetic smile and told them to go and have a drink.
He was so full of spirit and life. He hardly took anything to heart. Also, he ensured that Alonso had a great time by constantly bringing up the next fun thing to do. Alonso was having fun while his enemy was plotting against him.
