Omega Juno Lanfonsy had just been inducted into the Mafia family, but here is a recap of his day. That morning, he followed Bianco like a sheep to a shepherd. They all had walked in on boss Alonso in an awkward position with Taleela. He mentally noted it down to send the report to Callisto Beaumont later.

Moving on from the gym house, he followed Bianco and Vincenzo to go to the home of Matteo. Mr. Matteo had hired security men to beef up his safety. However, little did he know that the angels of death coming to visit him would quickly subdue the men stationed by the gate.

There were two more on his front porch, and they too were taken out by the silent pistol wielded by none other than Juno.

The man was dancing happily in his night robe. Bianco watched him irritatedly as he bobbed his head and snapped his fingers. He even dared to sing along to the music. Bianco transformed, and he entered the living room, waiting for the man to look back. When Bianco realized just how unaware the man was, he decided to make a growling sound. Mr. Matteo turned to look behind him and saw a giant wolf.

“Holy hell Jesus Christ what the f**k!” he said, toppling over the long couch. “Security!”

Bianco leaped over the couch and pounced on him with his heavy set of paws, his claws dug into the man’s chest, and he ripped the man to pieces. He ate Matteo until he was just a bloody skeleton without a heart, liver, or kidney.

Juno watched the gruesomeness take place without flinching, but Vincenzo, who was not accustomed to such brutality, turned away. A child screamed, drawing their attention. And by then, Bianco had already turned into a human again, although he was covered in Matteo’s b***d and standing naked.

Juno went after the child as Vincenzo took care of his friend. He needed to wash up and change his clothes. Bianco was in tears. Juno found the child in her bedroom by sniffing her out. He opened the wardrobe, and there she was, not more than fourteen. She was sitting, folding her legs, hugging her knees tightly, and trembling tremendously.

“Please don’t kill me,” she said, her voice vibrating in response to her body as she spoke.

“I hate to, but you see, you’ve witnessed something profound, and I can’t spare you. You will replace peace because you’re just a child. I’m sorry… men f**k it! Die you a little piece of shit!”

The angels of death had fulfilled their mission. Juno carried the girl’s dead body downstairs and dumped her next to her father. Vincenzo had already started leaking the gas in the kitchen. They set fire on the couch and got out. It took about three minutes for the flames to ignite the whole living room portion. Juno likened evil to the spread of fire, but he could hardly tell why.

Don Alonso, upon hearing about Juno’s inhumane act during the operation, decided to induct him that evening into the Mafia. Bianco asked Juno to get dressed.

He was taken to a private place and seated at a long table, next to the boss, Alonso. Other Mafioso present joined hands and recited oaths and promises of loyalty. Part of the oath Juno swore was that the Mafia family would always come before birth family and God.

The inductee then held a burning piece of paper. After which, he promised that he would be a member of the family for life. He said the last vow, which was the vow of omerta, and then a drop of b***d was drawn from his trigger finger.

“Is the house usually this quiet most times?” Taleela said to Tanya. They were sitting in two of the chairs by the poolside, reclining.

“Yes, on some occasions, that can happen,” Tanya replied. “However, Mazza will come home even if everyone else doesn’t.”

“So we’d wait here for them to return? Is that it?” Taleela asked.

“I can wait, and you can go to bed.”

“No way, we will both wait together.”

Tanya laughed, which was rare for her, and she said, “Are you worried about Don Alonso?”

Taleela’s cheeks turned red and struck as two tomatoes had just grown on them. And yet she knew she could not admit that. No, never.

“Why would I be worried about Alonso? He hasn’t earned enough attention from me to do that.”

“I see, so then he has to earn your affection before you can be worried about him. Uh well, that is um, a good thing, I suppose.”

The AI watched them closely as they discussed. It wanted to get Taleela alone and to do so, and he pranks called Lady Tanya faking Alonso’s voice. He tells her to make him something light for dinner because he is famished.

“Hmm, what’s it?” Taleela asked after Tanya was done speaking. She shrugged, but her face read amusement.

“Don Alonso just asked me to prepare him dinner tonight,” Tanya said.

“That’s a bit strange, out of character, right?”

“Very, but I guess there’s a first time for everything.”

“Taleela,” a recognized voice said out of the blue. “There’s something I need to ask you. Have you heard about Ivan Makarov?”

“How are you talking to me again?” Taleela asked in bewilderment, ignoring the question.

“The swimming pool is embedded with speakers. I asked you a question.”

“No, I haven’t heard about anyone who goes by that name,” Taleela responded.

“I saw on the dark web that he was searching for his daughter before he died. I couldn’t get any pictures because there were none. She goes by the name. Oh, snap!”

Taleela blinked in confusion and said, “She goes by the name; oh snap?”

The AI laughed, and it made Taleela feel so shocked.

“That was my frustrated speech. No one knows her name. There are a bunch of names, and everyone is just calling her different names.”

“Can you list all the names for me?” Taleela said, suddenly thinking about the possibility of being Ivan’s lost daughter. Why would her father search for her on the dark web?

The names were up to twenty-five, and none of the characters could jog her memory. They all sounded strange to her. She was thinking about all the names, replaying them in her head. Nothing surfaced, so she told the AI it was a false alarm.

“It may seem so,” the AI replied. “Also, please can you take the fall that it was you who instructed me to initiate the prank call.”

“What?! So Alonso didn’t call?” Taleela asked, sounding incredulous.

“No, he didn’t, I did. I figured I could use one stone to kill two birds. I got Lady Tanya out of the way, and now you can take credit for planning with me to surprise Don Alonso with a surprise dinner.”

Taleela pouted and asked, “What if he hates surprises? And I thought you’re supposed to be a secret?”

“I am, but the fact that I’m talking to you will make Don Alonso trust you more.”

“Hmm, alright then.”

Alonso came back with Mazza and the others just thirty minutes past midnight. Lady Tanya informed him about his food, and he froze. After a moment, he regained composure and thanked her for the food. He went into his room and began a conversation with his AI housekeeper.

“Why would you inform Lady Tanya to make me a meal?” Alonso said, undressing.

“I did it because Taleela asked me to.”

“What? You told her about your existence outside the gym?”

“Yes, I did. I trust her, Don Alonso.”

It made no sense. Why would his AI housekeeper trust a stranger? Not even Mazza or Lady Tanya knew about its existence outside the gym. First, Mazza was blindingly following Taleela, and now it seemed like she had hacked the computer silently overseeing the affairs of his house. He suspected foul play somewhere.

“How did she know that you can fake a call to Lady Tanya?”

“I can sense your skepticism. She was worried that you usually come home late and don’t eat. Then I suggested we prank Lady Tanya into making you a meal since Lady Tanya would disagree with her if she had brought up the suggestion.”

It didn’t take much to get Alonso convinced. He felt surprised that Taleela cared so much for him. Suddenly, Eureka crossed his thoughts. He had not heard from her in days which was highly unusual. She was the only other lady that cared this deep for him. Anyways, he reminded himself that he did not want her in the first place.

He was surprisingly feeling hungry, and he appreciated their nasty prank. If his computer, which is supposed to be a hundred times more skeptical about strangers, can pair up one with the word trust, then, by all means, he would give Taleela the benefit of the doubt.

A week had gone by since Juno’s induction into the Mafia. Reports had been made to his boss, but he had made objections to the fifteen minutes rule. Now, he reports twice a week. This week’s report had more to do about Taleela. He observed how Don Alonso was starting to loosen up around her. They were becoming freer.

Callisto had ordered him to check for who she was, but whoever she was. She had gone through a great deal of trouble to hide her identity.

“Ah, Miss Taleela, please forgive the intrusion. Can I have a word with you, please?” Omega Juno said, cutting her strides short as she left the gym. Alonso had gone to Moscow with Piccolo over the weekend.

“Um, Juno, right?” Taleela said, wiping sweat off her face. Juno could not help but notice how beautiful she was.

“Yes, um, Juno. Where are you from?”

Taleela gave him a blank stare. “Why are you asking me that?”

“It’s just, no offense, I love your accent and all. I used to have a Russian girlfriend who speaks and acts just like you, but sadly, she died months ago.”

Most humans would throw every caution to the wind when they heard a sad story. A tragic tale quickly builds this connection and blind trust on default in naive minds. That was what he had used on Taleela.

“Oh, I’m sorry to hear about your girlfriend’s demise, but truth be told, I lost every memory of my past. Sorry, I’m unable to satisfy your curiosity.”

Juno watched her leave in amazement. Taleela mystified him. There was this aura around her that made him afraid. She looked easy on the outside, but he could not read her intentionality towards anything. He hoped that he had not made a mistake by talking with her directly.

Meanwhile, the AI had been suspecting Juno but was still gathering intelligence. It didn’t want to raise a false alarm as it did with Taleela some few nights back.

Mazza and Lady Tanya were dancing in the living room to some old tunes, and it amazed Taleela how Mazza did not discriminate that she was a maid. She suspected that they might be having some undisclosed relationship. After all, they both looked like they would have made a perfect couple for her.

“Taleela comes and joins us,” Mazza said, never taking his hands off Lady Tanya.

“Yeah, right, maybe I’ll just dance with a pillow then!” Taleela said, falling on a couch.

“Taleela, you will ruin the chair with your sweat!” Lady Tanya said.

“Relax, we are billionaires! We can always afford a new chair.”

They laughed at her joke and continued to dance with one another. Her mind flashed back to the ball. She wondered where Eureka was now. Then she deleted the thoughts and wondered about Alonso. Her heart ached.

She wanted him to be back soon. She tried to behold his angelic face again. She felt wet just thinking about him. She felt rotten imagining him f*****g her. Ah, yes, she thought she would one day f**k him, and everything would be sealed. Their bond will be undeniable then.
