Leonardo went into the ring as the referee announced his name and what pack he belonged to. He wasn’t expecting any applause and yet everyone applauded him. He was told to take off his clothes except for his underwear. He noticed his lanky body and exhaled nattily.

Leonardo’s opponent was also introduced similarly but was applauded more. His name was Grey. He took off his dress, revealing his strong masculinity. Again Leonardo wondered how such a big guy was an omega.

The referee then went on to explain that they were allowed to fight using whatever means save for transforming completely to their full wolf form. Also, he explained that the winner will be decided by who’s standing over who when the clock hits three minutes, so what really mattered was the last few seconds.

A bell struck once and a huge stopwatch set at three minutes began to countdown like a bomb about to explode. Leonardo was bouncing on his feet moving from side to side as he sized up his opponent looking for an opening to strike, but before he knew it the guy had gotten to him and landed him a solid punch which sent him plummeting towards the ring. The big guy knocked him several times until he was able to escape being cornered.

“You know he’s going to lose this fight if he continues like this,” Piccolo snapped furiously.

“Come on,” Bianco said, groaning. He had witnessed Leonardo fight during training and he knew that the boy wasn’t giving it his all.

Alonzo decided to mind link Leonardo with some encouraging words. ‘I believe in you, Leo. You have what it takes to beat him!’

As soon as Leonardo heard those words in his mind, he transformed into his were-form. His opponent scoffed and did the same. Leonardo glanced at the stopwatch surprised that a minute had passed. They both lurched at each other, grabbing each other by the shoulder, each person trying to bring the other one down. They were growling and baring their teeth at each other. They broke off when neither of them relented and the crowd went wild.

Leonardo’s opponent cracked his bones and out of anger he drove himself forward to descend on him, but Leonardo quickly sidestepped him, grabbed his hand, and used it to leverage himself onto his opponent’s back. He then wrapped his legs around his opponent’s midriff and locked the big guy’s head in a tight grip with both, forcing him to yield at the last moment when the bell rang.

“Yes!!” Piccolo jumped out of his seat. “He did it.”

“Why are you even thrilled?” Bianco said, shaking his head. “You believed he wouldn’t make it.”

“Wrong, I said he’d lose if he continued fighting like a piece of shit!” Piccolo said, unable to contain his excitement.

Alonzo scoffed. “Pico, sit down, the fight’s just getting started.”

“Indeed, sorry, sorry,” Piccolo said, taking his seat.

Grey’s alpha was furious with him for losing. He wasn’t allowed to sit down with the pack after that. In fact, he was eliminated from the pack immediately. Alonzo watched the guy walk away dejectedly, plastering himself onto a pillar to watch the rest of the event. Alonzo felt slightly sorry for him, but such was the world of the werewolves, weakness was grossly frowned upon.

The fight began again but this time it was another set of omegas who were fighting. Soon the contestants were down to just the top four people, amongst whom was Leonardo himself. The four names were put inside the cup again and were chosen at random still. Leonardo defeated his opponent moving on to the final round where he faced his last opponent, Jedidiah.

The four names were put inside the cup again and were chosen at random still. Leonardo defeated his opponent moving on to the final round where he faced his last opponent, Jedidiah.

Jedidiah had proven himself to be a very skillful fighter. Leonardo wondered if he stood a chance to win this one. They both got into the ring. Unlike the previous matches, the showdown was five minutes long and they were allowed to transform into their full wolf form. The bell sounded for them to begin.

Leonardo seemed to be on par with Jedidiah for a whopping three minutes, but after that, the fight fell out of his favor when Jedidiah shape-shifted to his full wolf form. The bell rang with Jedidiah’s giant paws resting on top of Leonardo’s wolf stomach as he was pinned down.

They transformed back to their human form and Jedidiah was announced the overall winner of the Omega match with Leonardo coming in second place.

Leonardo after dressing up returned to the table with a heavy heart concluding that he had let his pack down, but he was surprised to see the pack smiling at him. Alonzo even stood up to receive him with a firm handshake.

“You did well,” Alonzo said.

Leonardo sat down, feeling deadbeat. “Thank you, boss.”

Piccolo tapped Leonardo and said, “Don’t be dismayed, It is our fault for not training you more.”

Bianco scoffed. “Don’t generalize the blame, I taught him.”

Alonzo chuckled. “You are both unbelievable.”

Then came the tinkling sound again as the King’s aide made another announcement. “We shall now proceed to the wrestling match between the gammas of each pack.”

At this point, Bianco and Vincenzo argued about who should do the fighting for the pack since they were both gammas. Alonzo asked Bianco to sit it out and so Vincenzo stepped up to the ring where he submitted his name.

Right about that moment, Antonio with his bandwagon of werewolves stormed into the venue. They proceeded to their specially reserved seats which weren’t too far off from where Alonzo himself was. Antonio acknowledged Alonzo with a nod and a quick smile crossed Alonzo’s lips. They happened to be the ninth pack.

Alonzo watched as a royal guard approached Antonio’s table. They exchanged a few words and Laslow was suddenly escorted to the ring. That didn’t make sense, Alonzo told himself. Laslow wasn’t a gamma but a beta unless his rank had dropped of course.

Interestingly enough, Laslow as suspected was part of the gamma fighters. Vincenzo easily won against his opponents and soon thereafter, the only ones left were he and Laslow to face each other in the final round.

“I don’t like this,” Bianco said. “It should’ve been me in that ring. Laslow is going to win against Vincenzo for sure now.”

“Bianco,” Alonzo called out roughly. “Let’s wait and see what happens.”

Bianco turned up his nose in disgust. “Fine, and so it begins.”

Indeed the fighting commenced. Laslow laughed at Vincenzo and tried to put him down with his words.

“You think you can win against me, you weakling?” Laslow growled. “I eat your kind for breakfast.”

“News flash, we are on the same level now,” Vincenzo said.

“Keep dreaming, okay,” Laslow said.

Laslow catapulted himself towards Vincenzo but Vincenzo dodged his every movement. This angered Laslow, causing him to transform partially. Vincenzo, still playing defense, got unlucky as Laslow caught him by the neck, lifted him, and slammed him to the ground. The crowd went wild, as Laslow succeeded in pinning Vincenzo down and kept punching him severally without remorse. Vincenzo laid still as if he had been knocked unconscious. Laslow took a moment to catch his breath, but just then Vincenzo pushed him off his body so forcefully that he flew.

Vincenzo transformed into his full wolf form, pouncing on Laslow before he could react. Laslow, despite being bitten and clawed violently still managed to transform into his full wolf but that didn’t stop Vincenzo from gnawing on his wolf. Laslow yelped like a puppy.

“Good grief,” Alonzo mumbled. “I never knew Vincenzo was this-“

“Bloody?” Piccolo suggested.

“Yes, bloody!” Alonzo replied.

The bell rang and Vincenzo stopped attacking Laslow. He transformed into his human form but was sordid in b***d. He wiped his bloody mouth with his hand. The referee declared him the winner of the gamma round with Laslow coming in second place.

Laslow was breathing like a dying patient on the ground. He got up in disbelief. His body had started to heal but he was grossly disappointed with the outcome of the match. He purposely bumped into Vincenzo on his way out of the ring.

“You and I aren’t done yet,” Laslow whispered coldly as he left.

Vincenzo turned to look at him. “Sure, we are just getting started!”

Vincenzo got cleaned up and returned to his seat. He was smiling proudly as he did.

“Well done brother,” Bianco said. “I didn’t think you had it in you anymore.”

“Trust me, I didn’t but there was no way I’d let that scumbag win me,” he said.

“For a second there I thought you were going to kill him,” Alonzo said.

“Yeah, me too,” Leonardo said. He had actually turned to look away when the violence of the fight had reached the climax.

“Hmm, I wish I did,” Vincenzo said, surprising everyone. He was, after all, a cool guy.

“I understand your rage,” Bianco said.

“Yeah, don’t we all?” Piccolo chipped in.

The tinkling sound brought everyone’s attention to a standstill. The King aide announced that the next tournament would be between the betas of each pack. Piccolo rose and smiled confidently.
