The Alpha Mafia King -
Chapter 8
“Is he always this grumpy?” Taleela mumbled to Tanya as she entered into the state-of-the-art, one-of-a-kind kitchen.
The kitchen had every modern equipment, ranging from non-electrical equipment like the juice extractor. Lady Tanya was currently using electronic equipment like the water purifier.
“Who?” Lady Tanya asked, giving her a quizzical stare.
“Alonso, of course!” Taleela bellowed. Lady Tanya gasped in horror and skidded towards her to cover her mouth.
“Shh!” she warned. “Don’t ever call him that! Everyone refers to him as Don Alonso, except for his granddad and occasionally his mistress.”
Taleela sighed as Lady Tanya unclasped her mouth and said, “Let me guess the lady in the living room is his mistress, right?”
Lady Tanya nodded. “Yes, and her name is Eureka Oriano, the daughter of Lucian Oriano, Don Alonso’s business associate.”
“What is Don Alonso’s job description? And why is he referred to as Don?”
Tanya went back to extracting the juice out of fruits from the fruit basket. Taleela went to assist her.
“He’s the CEO of La Corporation De Sina, which is a conglomerate business that deals in the production of chemicals and fashionable clothing.” Tanya decided to omit the part about machine guns.
“Oh, is that all?” Taleela asked.
“Miss Taleela, there’s only so much that I’m allowed to say about the Don, he’s a very private person, and soon you will come to understand.”
That is speculating her not being thrown out before then, although Mazza does seem to be interested in her.
“Taleela!” Eureka barked from the living room.
Taleela immediately grabbed the napkin she had earlier been sent to get. She got carried away in discussion with Lady Tanya, and now she would have to face a fair amount of ridiculing all over again. She strolled like she had not already delayed on the errand she was sent.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Eureka demanded to know. “Do you know I can have you fired? Jeez, even Lady Tanya, who is not as young as you, isn’t as stagnant as you are.”
Taleela said nothing and dropped the napkin, clearing their plates. She looked at Alonso with contempt. She turned to leave, but Alonso cleared his throat, making her pause in her tracks.
“Ever heard of an apology?” Alonso said.
“I’m sorry, Miss Eureka,” Taleela turned to say, smiling as she spoke.
Lady Tanya appeared right in front of her, collected the tray, and placed it and its content inside the dishwasher. She offered an apologetic smile to Taleela and offered her a glass of mixed fruit juice.
“Fresh juice to sweeten your mood, dear,” she announced softly.
“Thanks, Lady Tanya,” Taleela said, sipping out of the glass.
“I was going to offer you some ice, or do you like it like that?”
“Whichever is fine, but please add the ice.” Taleela tilted her glass forward. Lady Tanya pinched the ice out of a bowl and dropped one into it.
“Don’t hold your breath dear, if you finish your drink, you can go into your bedroom, and I’ll take over for you.”
“No, it’s fine. I’ll assist you until you’re ready to sleep,” Taleela said, downing the whole orange juice in one gulp.
“I don’t need any assistance, but you can sit and wait till I finish if you wish to.”
Lady Tanya went back to chopping some veggies. Taleela watched her hand in amazement at how fast she diced and sliced. She wondered if Mazza would be by the pool at this time. Only God and he knew the truth why he loved being around water.
The chopping board sound deviated to waves overlapping the seashore as she remembered the first time she met Mazza.
He had frantically applied pressure pressing his palm to her chest repeatedly till she spewed water from her mouth. He wrapped her in his coat and carried her in his arm effortlessly. Although he was old, the man was devilishly handsome and equally fit as a fiddle.
She could not remember anything, not even how she almost drowned. She had no memory of how Mazza pulled her out of the water. He was so chatty and kept repeating that he could not wait to introduce her to his grandchild. He said that he would like her.
Lady Tanya touched her shoulder, smiling, and said, “You look lost in thoughts, dear. Have you remembered anything about who you are?”
“No. I just remembered the first time I saw Alonso’s granddad.”
“Oh, I’m sure you were,” Tanya said, wiping her hand with a towel. “He is a very kind-hearted individual.”
“Yes, I suppose he is. He saved my life and gave me a place to stay. I will try and tolerate his grandson for his sake.”
Lady Tanya patted her on the back. “Yes, that’s the spirit! I’m done with everything. We can take our leave now.”
Lady Tanya put off the light, and darkness engulfed the kitchen, appearing blank and empty like Taleela’s lost memory. Everything was so dark whenever she tried to recall who she was. She knew, as the kitchen, that there were things, beautiful and ugly, but it was like the switch was turned off and broken so she could never access the light of enlightenment.
Thankfully, the living room was empty. Lady Tanya and her part ways as she went out of the house to her apartment, which was in a separate space in the compound.
Her room was beautiful to behold. Within a few days of her arrival, Mazza had transformed space to make her feel comfortable. Somehow the signs of wealth of Marcovic did not intimidate her. She felt accustomed to wealth but did not have the know-how.
She thought she was a significant person. However, since she could not remember, she might as well play the role of the happy maid, provided she had Mazza and Lady Tanya.
–
Eureka abused the opportunity she had lying next to Alonso. At every point in time, she would tap him, rub him, k**s him, but he was not responding.
“Alonso, wake up!” she whined. “I know you’re not sleeping.”
“Oh, leave me alone, Eureka, for pit sake! I need to rest. I have a long day tomorrow.”
“Come, let’s have s*x, and I’ll let you sleep for as long as you desire,” Eureka said, running her hand through his hair.
“Eureka stop it!” he retorted. He got up and left the room, not wanting to wolf out mistakenly.
Alonso went out to the poolside. Mazza lay reclining, gazing up at the moon and the stars. Alonso sat beside him quietly. For so long, they both sat with neither person breaking the silence. Mazza acted like nobody was there.
“Hey, granddad,” Alonso said when the silence became highly unbearable.
“Yes, speak what’s in your heart,” Mazza responded coolly.
He picked up a joint and lit it while holding it. He never puts it in his mouth before descending it. When the tip burned a fiery red, he took his first drag.
“Nothing’s on my mind, don’t try to psyche me. Where the hell is Bianco, by the way?”
“Hmm, who knows?”
“He called me several hours ago to inform me he was on his way home,” Alonso said, finally deciding to recline his chair.
“I’m sure he will be here soon,” Mazza said, dragging on the joint and passing it to his grandson.
“He better be, and I’m tired of busting my boy’s a*s out of prison cells.” Alonso wondered if he should smoke, but he had already absentmindedly accepted it. It would be rude not to partake of it.
Mazza roared in laughter. “You know it’s only Vladimir who hasn’t been to prison yet.”
“Vladimir is a smart man. He can’t go to prison.”
“There was something you wanted to tell me when you were in Moscow,” Mazza reminded him.
Alonso had forgotten to tell his grandfather about Gleb Sokolov. He narrated the story of the lucky gambler and his ordeal. He also informed his grandfather that Bianco had carried out the man’s dying wish for revenge.
“Sokolov sounds familiar.” His grandfather sneezed.
“He was wealthy, and if he had just stayed alive, I might have offered him protection,” Alonso said.
Mazza grunted in response, “And anyone put in your care is safe.”
“Granddad, I’m not god,” Alonso offered dryly.
“I’m shocked! The Don knows the bible.”
“Before I became anything else, I was my mother’s pupil, and she loved to teach me about the big guy up in the sky.”
Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of a black Bentley that pulled over to a stop at the entrance to the poolside. After a while, they could see Bianco striding purposefully down towards them.
“Hey boss, I apologize for the delay,” Bianco said and added, “the new guy Nicolasi Pentangeli ran into some trouble, but it has all been resolved now.”
“No problem,” Alonso said calmly.
“Good evening, Grandboss,” Bianco said to Alonso’s grandfather.
“Bianco, son, come sit with us,” said Mazza in response.
Eureka came out to look for Alonso. She stood waiting for him but did not approach them. She knew Alonso’s ethics. It was for men only. It was not a woman’s thing. Women were not invited.
“Oh wow, Eureka is here?” Bianco said, nodding. “And what about the new girl, is she gone?”
“She is going nowhere, Bianco,” Mazza insisted. “Alonso, go and deal with the trouble you brought.”
“I guess you can’t stop a determined woman,” Alonso said, rising. “Don’t die in your sleep, or I’ll kill you myself in the morning!”
Alonso walked to Eureka. She still felt weak-kneed whenever he approached her. She held him on his arm for support and whispered sweet nothings as she led him back into the mansion.
Alonso knew she loved him so much, but he always ignored her feelings. The best he could offer was, give in to the pressure of s*x because he too needed it once in a while as a man. He hated to think that he was using her, so that was why he always rejected her s****l advances towards him for as long as possible.
“Strip,” Alonso commanded, immediately his gigantic bedroom door closed.
“Yes, daddy,” Eureka responded like a slut. She began to take off her clothing from top to bottom.
Taleela laid restlessly on her bed, feeling unusually cold and lonely. She could not help thinking about what Alonso and the mistress could be doing in bed. She wanted to go and eavesdrop, but common sense begged her not to. She could get caught, and that would damage whatever little reputation she had in this house.
“Just like that, daddy, hmm yes, that’s it doesn’t stop please,” Eureka m****d as Alonso rode her, pulling her hair.
“Cum for me,” Alonso whispered and thrust harder. He spanked her a*s and grabbed it. Still pulling her hair, he reached for her breast with his free hand holding it. They both climaxed, and Eureka dug her face into the pillowcase.
Alonso started to regret the s*x right after. He got up and went into the bathroom. Eureka wanted to follow him, but he barked at her to let him finish cleaning up first. He ran himself a hot bath. He took several calming breaths as he did. He turned off the shower and stepped out of the bathroom.
The bathroom was still engulfed with his scent, and Eureka spent time inside it. She was sobbing. She always cried after he had satisfied her. She pressed her palm to her chest, hoping she would not die of a heart attack.
She remembered the first time she entered the office of Alonso to discuss business with him. Her father had forced her to go in his stead. She had loved him from the minute he lifted his face to give her a blank stare. Since then, she had given him all of her. Mind, body, and emotion.
She wondered what more she had to do to get his attention. He was not oblivious that she loved him, yet he abused her.
