Episode 64

BROOKE

I ran straight to my mothers and barged in through the door where I found a startled Adonis and Joe with my mother.

“Little one why the rush,” says Adonis but I start to sign really fast.

Joe shakes his head “Brooke you not making any sense” he says and strides up to me in two steps to stop my hands from moving. He places one hand on my chin to lift it up for me to meet his “Slower Brooke” he says with a smile.

I move out of his grip, we haven’t got time for this. I close my eyes and let Willow come through to speak “We need to see that wolf Alanna now” she says with a hiss “Amy’s uncle who works in the library of history was tortured by Alfred and he stole the books about Fae creatures.”

Joe’s eyes go wide “How would he have known about…..” he says but he stares at Adonis who has a stern look “Alpha Josh and Todd, someone that they know must have told Alfred where they could replace the books.”

“If he knows what Brooke is, he is coming for her and he will try to take her,” says my mother in a worried voice and she looks at me.

Joe turns to me “We need to talk to her but we need…..” but he stops as the door opens to replace Hudson and Daisy walking in.

“We are coming with you when you talk to Alanna,” say Hudson as he walks over to me.

I stare back at him in shock. How? Why would…..

My face must have said thousands of words as he smiles “We will talk once we talked to Alanna” he says.

I don’t say anything.

Hudson looks at Adonis and Joe “Both of you come too, Danica you need to be there too” he says.

“I will let everyone else know what we are doing, Todd is telling Alpha Josh and our parents, I also told Beta Logan that you all will be down the cells,” says Daisy but she walks up to me “Please don’t do anything just yet, ok,” she says as she wraps me in her arms.

I can feel Hudson’s eyes on us. I know he wants to know what she meant but it’s not the time or the place to talk.

Alfred and his followers are coming and we need to know a few things first. I lean back and smile.

We all leave my mother’s room and head straight to the cells outside. As soon as the door opens the smell of b***d and vomit hits me straight away. We walk down to the steps and head down a corridor. Everyone followed Hudson, but my mother stopped right outside a cell gate. There was my father who looked like he had aged a hundred years in a few days.

“Brooke,” he says in a whisper as I come closer. I carry on walking and I hear him sigh “I remember,” he says which makes me stop in my tracks. Hudson stops and looks back over his shoulder at me. I stare at the floor, I don’t make a move “I remember what I did; I was a stupid fool and a horrible father towards you. I was blind to what was happening as I kept drinking and drinking so I couldn’t feel anything, I didn’t want to feel the pain of losing your mother over again.”

I could feel tears run down my face. I could feel everyone staring at me. Willow was close but I didn’t want to talk to him, I didn’t know what I should be feeling right now.

“I am so sorry princess,” he says in a whisper “I should have been there for you, I should have protected you.”

I can’t take much more. I take a step forward but Hudson blocks my way, I stare up at him. He searches my eyes “Not now” I mouth to him.

He takes my hand and guides me away from my father to the furthest cell in the corridor. I pull Hudson back and he looks at me stunned “Brooke what….” he says in a hushed voice but I shake my head “I go in on my own.”

“But you said one…..” he says but a hand touches Hudson’s shoulder “Joe and Brooke will do this,” says Adonis in a quiet voice “You will need to hear everything and if you are in there, Alanna isn’t going to talk.”

Hudson stares at me but I move closer to him and place my hand on his cheek. He moves his hand to mine and closes his eyes but opens them in a second “I will be fine, she will be dealing with Willow anyway” I say with a smirk.

Willow is coming closer and she wants Alanna dead.

Hudson lets go of my hand and places a k**s on my palm, he lets me go and Joe walks with me to the cell with Alanna in.

Alanna looks a mess, but she is staring out of the barred window looking at the moon “I wondered when you would show up” she says as she turns to look at both Joe and me.

Alanna c***s her head at both of us “Not who I was expecting” she says.

“I think I was invited but I needed to sort something out first,” says my mother as she walks in and takes one side while Joe leans on the wall.

Alanna stares between all three of us “This has nothing to do with you little girl” she says with a snarling at me but I use my speed and wrap my hand around her neck which takes her by surprise as she gasps for a breath, my eyes change colour before her which makes her scream “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?” She yells.

Willow hisses “You’re worst nightmare,” she says but she loosens her grip “You mention anything about my human again and I will gladly kill you but I guess you have some things you have to say so how about you spill” Willow says as her hand leaves her neck.

I stay close to listen in on everything.

Alanna holds her neck and glares at me but turns her attention to my mother “I knew you were not a human but I had no way of replaceing out what you were, you honestly think I wanted to be your friend” she says but she starts to laugh “Also I never wanted Jackson, hell I’m not even his mate.”

She smirks “Alfred was my mate, he wanted me to help him get you and that pathetic brat away from the pack and I did,” she says with a smirk.

The tension was heavy in the air.

Willow hissing at her which makes Alanna look at us.

Willow smirks “You won’t guess what we are, we never tell a soul” she says “Besides you are scared of us and we can feel it.”

That was no word of a lie, Alanna was scared. I look towards my mother who was smirking “You call my daughter a pathetic human because you thought you all could replace out what she was due to your mate watching our deaths” she says as she walks closer to her “You hurt my baby, you took my mate away from her.”

“I never hurt Brooke I was never at that house” Alanna stutters but she looks at me “Cody, they have Cody,” she says.

I was about to ask her but someone walks into the cell, well three of them and one of them was supposed to be in a cell.

“YOU LIE” snarls Hudson “We know where Cody is and funny enough Austin collected him a few days before Brooke came back to the pack house.”

I look over to Hudson shocked who walks up to me and stands behind me with his hand on my waist “Austin found him so we know you are lying about that” he says “Now we know about Alfred but I wonder if he ever mentioned about the library of history to you.”

Alanna stares at him and doesn’t say anything.

“You know something,” says my mother as she walks closer but then she stops like something just clicks and she smiles “You know that Alfred went there to look but he came up empty.”

My mother looks at Hudson “She knows s**t” she says “I can tell.”

She was right; Alfred must have kept quiet about his plans to her.

But Alanna looks at me “I have to say one thing though…..” she says “I know one thing tonight that will happen, both of you are going to die” she says in a scream.

I stand in front of Hudson and Joe stands in front of my father and Adonis as my mother comes starts to come alight with flames, covering her entire body as she gets closer to Alanna.

Alanna screams but my mother grabs hold of her arms “Have fun in hell” she says in a different voice.

As soon as the flame touches Alanna, she starts to burn but seconds later she disappears into a puff of ash in front of all of us.

My mother calms down and Willow takes a step back, pushing me forward.

My mother turns around and Joe smirks “Hell fire” he says.

My mother smiles at him and turns to me “I think we should….” she starts to say but all three wolves that are in the cell with us start to growl.

“ROGUES” they shout together.

Without any words said we run straight through the corridor and out through the door, as we get closer to the packhouse steps. There have to be over a thousand or more rogues charging through the forest heading straight towards everyone, every man and woman can fight but there are children still out there.

There was no warning.
