Chapter 40

Lucy's POV

I was sitting in the panic room watching everything happening in thepack house on the cameras that were installed for emergencies exactlylike this one. I was holding a sleeping Lilith as I saw 2 of my best friendsmurdered as I sat there sobbing I could hear Jasper mind link me tellingme to go through the hidden passageway and run until I found theMystic Pack who would keep us safe and hidden until the time wasright to leave. I knew he was leading the guys who attacked us away sothat we could get away and so I quickly placed Lilith down while Igrabbed the emergency pack and secured it to me as I grabbed a slingthing for carrying babies around in. Once I had it secured to my body Igrabbed Lilith and tucker her into it making sure she was comfortableand hidden the best I could do right now.

I pushed the button on the wall that would reveal the tunnel and once Iwas inside the door closed automatically as I jogged through the longtunnel for about 20 minutes I finally found the end of it and I slowlywalked out into the dark forest knowing the sun had set and hour agowhich made getting away and blending in so much easier. As soon as Iknew it was safe I took the map out of my pocket that I earlier took outof the pack and looked at it and seen that the Mystic Pack was to thewest of here. I automatically started heading west and ran for hoursuntil I had to stop and relax for a few moments before I completelyexhausted myself. I came across a little cave and sat in it to feed Lilithand myself and to give myself a little break before continuing on. I ranfor two days straight with few stops until I finally stumbled onto theMystic Pack’s territory and as soon as I did I was surrounded by at leastten wolves. I fell to the ground making sure not to harm Lilith when oneof the wolves shifted and asked me who I was and what I was doingthere.

"Who are you and why did you trespass on Alpha Derek's territory?” theone who shifted demanded

I looked up to him and gasped as my wolf chanted “Mate’ in my mindbefore I focused and answered him back, "Mate, I am Lucy from theNight Shade Pack and this is Lilith Miller Alpha Jace's Daughter we weretold to come here and was told you would keep us safe and hiddenfrom the people who had attacked our pack to take the Alpha'sDaughter for a very bad man." I was able to say before I completely lostconsciousness but not before I heard my mate lean down and place asoft kiss on my cheek before whispering in my ear.

"Rest now mate you and the little one are safe now. I will not let anyonecome near you or harm either one of you so sleep and we can talk tothe Alpha later when you are better." he whispers as I black outcompletely.

Vance's POV

I heard back from my warriors I had sent to get Skylar's daughter butwhat I found out was not good new but bad news. They told me one ofthem had been killed and that they were extremely prepared for us andhad hidden the girl away and distracted them while someone got thegirl away to safety. I ordered them to come back to the pack house as Itold them it wasn't their fault and they would not be punished butthat's a complete lie. As soon as I see them they will be punished forfailing their Alpha.

I am royally pissed off with them for failing to get the little girl, needinga release I decide to go and pay my little toy a visit and have some funwith her. I walk past Candy who was leaving with Skylar's lunch disheswhen I walked in I saw her sitting on the bed and as soon as she sawme she started shaking with fear. I grinned at her response to me as Iclosed and locked the door behind me before walking over to the bedand grabbing her by the hair and dragging her off of the bed. She'scrying and begging me to stop but I don't it makes me even madder asI punch her in the stomach, the face and the ribs. I heard a loud crackknowing I had probably broken one of her ribs, I continue to beat heruntil I am satisfied and no longer angry.

Satisfied I look down at the sobbing and bloody Skylar on the floor andsmile as I turn to leave her there, as I am walking to my office I seeCandy, before she could get past me I step in front of her making herstop dead in her tracks before I speak to her.

"Candy wash her up and use that special make up to cover any bruisesthat are visible. Make sure she is in the dinning room on time for dinneror else you both will not like the consequences of disobeying me." Igrow! out making her shake in fear

"Yes Master, right away Master" She responds before sprinting awayfrom me to get started. I smile when my subjects are frightened of me. Ihead to my office to do some work before I go and get ready for dinnerwith my special little toy.

Jace's POV

We had just finished finalizing our plans when I was overcome by fearand pain knowing that these were not my feelings I knew that thatbastard had beaten her again. When my focus had come back to whereI was I looked over to Alpha Jason who was talking with his beta, oncethey were done he turned to me and told me to go and get readybecause we were heading to the bastards mansion tonight and endingall of this tonight as their spy was concerned for Skylar's safety andneeded to get her out sooner rather then later.

"Alpha Jace go and get ready and round up your warriors we are goingto Alpha Vance's territory and getting your mate back and ending himonce and for all.” Jason says to me

"You got it Alpha, we will meet you out front at 7 ready to go and kicksome ass” I tell him smirking before my gamma Dalton and I leave togo to the house we were staying in to get ready and to inform all of mywarriors ready and informed before we had to come back to the mainpack house to leave. Finally I was going to get revenge on the personwho took my mate but I am also going to get my mate back after allthese months and once I have her I am never letting her out of my sightever again.
