Chapter 41

Jace's POV

Once we all met at the main pack house we all piled into vehicles andheaded out towards the Blackwood Pack to take it down once and forall and to also get my mate back. We were about an hour away whenwe stopped and got out to shift into our wolves so we could get on theterritory unnoticed.

Once we were in the packs territory we split off into two groups thesmaller group went and handled the patrolling wolves before meetingus at the southern part of their borders where the tunnel that Jason'sspy was supposed to meet us at. Once we got there we shifted backand put the shorts that we had brought with us on before we waited forthe person to come and bring us into the mansion. I hated having towait here when all I wanted to do was charge inside, replace my preciousmate and kill the alpha for taking her in the first place but I knew if I didthat then Skylar could get hurt or me for that matter and I wasn't goingto gamble with my mates life.

We stood their in the shadows waiting for at least an hour when finally Iheard someone walking hurriedly down the tunnel towards us as I gotinto a fighting stance I calmed when I seen it was a woman. She smiledat Alpha Jason before she ran and threw herself into his beta's armsand kissed him with so much passion it made my heart start to ache formy mate.

"I hate to interrupt this little love fest but we have people to kill andrescue. Now miss can you help us finish this mission?" I ask her as I wasgetting impatient and wanted to get this over and done with.

"Yes we can and I am pleased to finally meet you Alpha Jace I haveheard so much about you from your mate. First I will help you get intothe mansion but be warned there are guards all over the place andonce you are in I will tell you where to go to finish off Alpha Vancewhile I go and rescue Skylar because she is being held in a differentpart of the mansion and so once I have her I will bring her to you Ipromise. Oh and my name's Candy by the way so you don't have tokeep calling me miss.” She replies to me smiling

as she heads in the different direction to get my mate. I wanted to gowith her so badly but I knew she would have a better success at gettingSky out without me. So we made our way through the mansion killingeveryone we came in contact with not taking any chances that if we letthem go they would alert the bastard of our presence. We came acrosssome big wooden double door thinking it might be his office as weentered we noticed it was a very grand dinning room with a very nicelycrafted wooden table in the middle of it with matching chairs. We gothrough the doors on the other side and replace another hallway as weslowly make our way down the hallway we can hear voices coming fromthe room at the end of the hall.

As we approach the room the voices get louder and we can make outwhat they are talking about.

"How the fuck did my best warriors lose track of and let a little girl getaway with the Alpha's daughter” I hear Vance yell at someone

"We are sorry alpha they were very prepared for us to attack themagain and the informant we had never told us about any of it as I don'tthink he knew about it. We killed 2 of them but when we were goingafter the third one thinking he would lead us to the blonde girl whohad the baby but we were wrong. He lead us away from the pack houseso that she could escape and get away and hide somewhere with her,as we tried to track her down but we couldn't replace her as she knew howto cover their scents well." I hear someone else say as I could pick upon the fear in his voice.

"You are both fucking useless to me since you have failed me for thelast fucking time. I guess if I can't steal their daughter I'm just going tohave impregnate my little play toy I have locked up and force her togive me an heir instead of me raising and making their daughter loveme as she grew before she gave me an heir but since those plans areout the window I no longer need you disappointments around.” Vancesaid before I heard two snapping sounds as I figured he broke theirnecks before I heard the thuds of their dead bodies hit the floor.

I am raging mad at everything I had just heard him say so as soon as Iheard the 2 dead bodies hit the floor I stormed into the room witheveryone right on my heels. We all attacked him and made sure he wasseverely injured and couldn't get away easily. Once he was subduedeveryone backed off and left me and my gamma to finish him off asthey went and finished off anyone else left in the mansion who wasn't aprisoner.

As soon as every one but my gamma left the office I stared down at thebastard sitting on the floor grinning and laughing like a fucking madman. I looked at Dalton and he was as bewildered as I was at theresponse he was giving off knowing very well he was going to die.

"I wouldn't be laughing if I were you considering you won't be livingthrough the next few hours." I spat at him in anger

I had Dalton stand watch just in case anyone got past the others andcame to warn their Alpha about intruders being in the mansion. Thecocky ass bastard kept laughing maniacally like someone had just madea joke.

"What the fuck’s so funny you bastard?" I ask through my clenched jaw"Nothing I am going to tell you. You will just have to wait and seewhat's coming for you and your family" he taunts before he bites hisown tongue off and spits it out at me knowing very well that now nomatter what I do to him he won't be able to tell me anything aboutwhat he put into motion.

"That's fine I would have loved to torture and interrogate you somemore but if you don't wanna talk then that's fine I'll just end yourmiserable life then.” and with that said I brought out my claws andslashed at his chest before ramming my hand into his chest cavity as Igripped his beating heart and ripped out of him and dropped it on thefloor in front of him as I watched his lifeless body slump over to thefloor.

“Warriors interrogate any wolf you replace and see if anyone knows of anyplans that Vance had in place in case of his death and tell that to anyother wolves that are with us and tell them to spread the word" I linkmy pack mates as I get a resounding amount of “Yes Alphas’ from themback.

I turned to Dalton before I spoke, "He has something planned for meand my family and I want to know what it is. Dalton I want you to helpme pack up this office and I don't want anything left behind so that wecan take it back to the Blue Willow Pack and go through it to replaceanything about what his plans are that are now set into motion.” I tellhim he nods his head and starts with going to replace some boxes oranything we can use to pack up everything in here so we can gothrough it later. I just hope that what he was saying was a bluff butsomething in my gut has me figuring that it wasn't just the talk of adyeing man considering he bit off his own tongue. We pack upeverything thing in the office in record time we even had to bust openthe desk to replace any locked and hidden compartments to make sure wehad everything. We even went through every book on the bookshelfleaving literally nothing upturned or broken or went through weweren't taken any chances at leaving anything behind I even searchedhis dead body and took his phone to look through it to see where itlead to now all we have to do is replace my mate and get out of this godforsaken place.
