Skylar's POV

I just got out of the shower and was going to get dressed when a veryout of breath Candy rushed into my room locking the door behind herbefore she turned to me and smiled. I handed her a bottle of water Ihad from earlier this morning she drank her fill and caught her breathbefore she finally spoke.

"Your mate's here with my pack, I told them to go and take care ofVance while I came to get you myself as it wouldn't raise anyunnecessary suspicions while they did their thing.” Candy tells me. Agiant grin spreads across my face knowing that my mate is here torescue me from this horrid place finally. I rush into the closet and throwon a black lace bra and panties, black leggings and a red croppedsweater along with some socks and a pair of black studded ankle bootsthat looked bad ass. I dried my hair and put on some light make up asCandy brushed my hair for me, once she was done I left it down in it'snatural waves as I stood and turned to Candy.

"I'm ready let's go and replace my mate so I can finally leave this place andgo home and see my little girl." I say to her as my eyes start to waterCandy grabs my hands in hers as she unlocks the door and I follow herout into the hallway stumbling a little as I am still weak from thewolfsbane injections I get everyday but this mornings dose seemed tobe a little more potent for some reason. We made out way down aseries of hallways until we came to a corner and heard screams andgrowls coming from around the corner. I followed her around themansion noticing that I had not recognized any of my surroundings. Wewere at what I assumed was the front doors of the mansion when I seenher eyes glaze over mind linking someone before she focused andturned to me.

"I just linked my Alpha to tell him I had you and where we are to getsomeone to let your mate know where you are and that you are safewith me.” She says to me as she wraps her arms around me to steadyme as I was swaying a little bit before I collapsed onto the floor gettingvery dizzy as the edges of my vision started going black. I could herCandy yelling my name and telling me to stay with her and thatsomeone was coming to help but eventually I couldn't focus onanything she was saying as the darkness consumed me.

Jace's POV

As my gamma and I were moving the boxes from Vance's office outinto one of his many cars at a side entrance we found near the office.As soon as we were done one of the Blue Willow wolves came runningat me letting me know that the Beta's mate had got my mate to thefront doors and then all of a sudden his eyes glazed over as a look ofworry settled onto his features as he turned to me with worry.

"Alpha Jace something has happened to your mate Candy is with herand so is Alpha Jason and they are already on their way to the packhospital to replace out what is wrong with her." he tells me

I get very worried and demand him to get in and drive me thereimmediately, before I get into the vehicle I link the rest of my packletting them know what is going on and to meet Dalton at themansions front doors and making sure everyone is accounted forbefore heading back to the Blue Willow pack house. I ask the wolfbeside me is their beta was still here and he said yes so I relay that tomy gamma and tell him to help Jason's beta with anything he needsbefore they all head back. I tell the wolf to step on it and he does andwe make it to their pack hospital in record time. As soon as I step out ofthe car I can smell her which both calms and worries me as I walk insideI replace Alpha Jason and his beta female Candy in the waiting roompacing back and forth waiting to be told anything as they freeze whenthey notice me standing there watching them with worry.

"What's happened I thought she was okay?" I ask concerned

"I don't know what's wrong with her she seemed fine when I got her.She was stumbling slightly but I figured that was just from thewolfsbane injections she was getting everyday but they must have donesomething to the one she got today. The doctor is doing some testsnow and will come and get us when they know what's wrong with her."the girl Candy tells me with sad eyes

"Thank you Candy for looking out for her all these months that she wasthere I know she never would have been able to survive being there if itwasn't for you. I am glad she had a friend like you to help take care ofher and help keep her sane. I don't know how we could ever repay youfor everything you have done for us.” I tell her as tears start to fall frommy eyes

"The only thing that I want you and her to do is to make it home safelyto your little girl and live happily for the rest of your lives.” She says tome as she wraps me in a hug right before the doctor enters the waitingarea to address all of us.

"Alpha, Alpha Jace, Beta Female, there seems to be high traces ofwolfsbane in her system along with something else we are still runningtests to figure out what it is. We have given her an IV of fluids to keepher hydrated. She is still asleep but you can come back and see her ifyou'd like." The doctor tells us, I nod my head and we follow him backto a room where I run to her side and grab her hand in mine and kissher knuckled before I place my forehead on hers and kiss every singlepart of her face as I cry and talk to her hoping she can hear me and willcome back to me.

"Baby I'm here, you're safe and out of that awful place. I love you somuch love and I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that but Ipromise you nothing like that will ever happen again just please don'tleave me. Come back to me baby I need you by my side and so doesLilith our baby girl whose gotten so big just wait until you see her. Sheneeds you I need you please wake up baby I can't do this without you."I tell her as the tears run down my face.

I don't know when the others left but I sat there at her bedside holdingher hand waiting for her to wake up. I did this everyday and everynight, the only times I left her alone was to go and eat and shower. Thedoctor still doesn't know what's wrong with her and why she isn'twaking up. I am starting to fear the worst and thinking that she maynever wake up and I would have to go on without her. It's been a weekof her sleeping and not waking up and the doctors come in and drawmore of her blood to try and figure out what is going on and so far noone knows why she isn't waking seeing as they can't replace anything thatis causing it. It's going on day 14 so about 2 weeks and just as I amstarting to lose hope something miraculous happens and she starts tostir and before I know it I see her eyes flutter open and look at me asshe finally wakes up and I thank the Goddess for not taking her andbringing her back to me.
