Jace's POV

It was nice to see our little girl awake again even though I noticedSkylar stood stock still in the door way looking at her as tears filled hereyes and I didn't need her to tell me what was wrong because I alreadyknew. I knew she felt out of place with her especially with Jasper and Iaround considering Lilith has a better relationship and is much closerwith me and Jasper since we got to be around her more and Skylarmissed out on it since she was taken away the day after Lily was born. Iknow how much of a toll it takes on her as she tries to connect andbuild a relationship with her while she is still here, considering I don'tthink she notices that anyone sees the little bits of pain, guilt andheartbreak she feels when her own daughter calls her Luna instead ofmom on accident and it happens more often then anyone thinks.

I know she tries to hide how she feels from the rest of the world likehow she doesn't think I know that she cries in the shower or how shesometimes cries herself to sleep when I'm working late and she's byherself. I always notice her tear streaked face when I know she hadbeen crying silently in the bathroom before she would come andmingle with the rest of us. The doctors still don't know why Lilith sleptfor so long and they don't know how much time she has left since thevampire venom is taking a massive toll on her body and it can't keep upwith it. Knowing this we all spend as much time with her as we possiblycan to make every single day count with her while we can.

Skylar's POV

Ever since Lilith had woken up we have been spending every wakingmoment with her. We would ask her everyday what she wanted to doand eat and she would tell us and we would do it whether she wantedto go to a zoo we would give her options of different zoos and shewould pick one and we would go there whether it was near us or not.She loved the travelling and the adventures we brought her on eventhough we noticed over the past three months that she had beengetting progressively sicker and weaker.

We had just got home from going to Disneyland where she had anabsolute blast and we took so many pictures of her there that we couldfill 2 photo albums full. Although as soon as we got home shecollapsed and we rushed her to the hospital where they ran some testsand took some images while she slept.

"Luna, Alpha it's not looking good. Her entire system is starting to shutdown from it working in overdrive and not being able to calm down orsettle or heal itself properly or fully. It's gotten progressively worsewhere her body is visibly giving out. I would recommend keeping herhome and comfortable and spend as much time with her as you cansince I don't believe she has much longer." Dr. Ramsay regrettably tellsus with a very sad expression.

I just nod my head as I can't seem to be able to form any sort of sound,"Thank you doctor we will be taking her home now so she can becomfortable and have as much family time as we can” Jace says to himwith a grim expression. I just go and pick up my little girl with roboticmovements as we take her home as I cried silently knowing that I wasgoing to lose my little girl soon.

The next day as Lilith and I were sleeping in since she was very tired. Iwoke up to go to the bathroom and I could hear a commotion goingon downstairs so out of curiosity I went to check out what was goingon. As soon as I walked into what used to be our living room I saw agiant bed where the couch used to be a big comfy looking recliner anda brand new giant TV where the old one was and there was a popcornmachine in the corner as well. I stood there speechless as I took in theroom in front of me knowing Jace and Jasper did all of this for Lilith.When I saw my mate I threw myself into his arms and hugged him astight as I could muster and then I kissed him so rough and passionatelyfor doing all of this.

"Baby this is perfect and I know Lilith will love it." I tell him in betweenkisses

"Good cause I did this so that we could all just spend the day in bedand watch movies and TV shows. I figured since we don't know howmuch time was have with her why waste it going up and down thestairs and sleeping in separate beds and rooms when we can just all liveand sleep in the old living room that I have now turned into the newmovie/TV room." He told me making me smile and cry at the sametime.

I saw movement out of the corner of my eye as we turned we sawJasper walking in with a sleepy Lilith in his arms. Once she got a goodlook at the living room she gasped and giggled but loved it when wetold her why we did it. We spent the next month sleeping and hangingout downstairs as we watched Lilith grow weaker and weaker everydayfrom her condition. It broke all of us to see her like that especially whenshe tried to walk on her own to go to the kitchen or the bathroom shewould stumble or fall or not be able to walk at all. We hated seeing herlike that and every week the doctor would come in and check in on herto see how she was doing.

None of us expected it when the worst day of our lives came. Jasperstayed at the house with Lilith while Jace and I went to deal with Lucassince we never did finish his punishment. He endured worst conditionsthen I did when I was taken but he deserved every day he was suffering.As Alpha and Luna of the Night Shade Pack we decided to end himonce and for all so that he couldn't hurt anyone every again. Once wewalked into the cells he opened his cell and unshackled him as wewaked him outside not caring that he wasn't cuffed or anything sincehe was too weak from the wolfsbane injections he's been receiving plusto us he wasn't much of a threat anyways.

Once he was let out he tried to run away but he didn't get far and itonly made me laugh at his pathetic attempts. Jace and I shifted into ourwolves and as soon as Lucas seen us he was petrified as we began tocircle him and we clawed and played with him making him suffer beforeI gave him one last bite to the throat snapping his neck and killing himonce and for all. Knowing that he was gone made us breath a littlebetter knowing he wasn't out there somewhere causing more harm andheartache to innocent people.
