The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 127 Book 2 Chapter 59

Celeste pouted. “Then can I at least cook for my friends?”

“No, cook for yourself and me… just me.”

“No!”

Zillon ran a hand through his black hair, unfolding his legs to stand. “You now made it impossible for me to start my pity speech, so I won’t even bother, I’ll just let them out now, let’s see you cook for them when they’re gone”

“No…”

He dangled the keys in his hands, his eyes flashing over to Xavier as he opened up the padlock. “I don’t think you’ll be able to walk…you’ve ate nothing for more than three days Xavier, perhaps we could talk while Celeste cooks you something.”

Xavier clenched his jaw, standing to his feet. “Don’t pity me, I could’ve survived longer, my vengeance for you filled my stomach enough these past days.”

Zillon shoved the door to his cell open, sighing softly to himself. “I still don’t understand why you’ve grown so much hatred for me. I did you no wrong, I probably wasn’t there when you lost the bottle, but I was there all the other times before that.”

“I don’t need you to understand, I really don’t care if you do. Just know that I hate you with every cell in my f*cking body, I hope you die along with the pack you fought so hard for all your life.”

He staggered pass Zillon, his shoulder barely brushing against his and then, he walked by Celeste who watched silently as he passed. She wanted to say something, but what could she say?

Sorry?

Then what exactly would she be sorry for?

For betraying him?

For breaking her promise?

For leaving?

Celeste wrung her hands behind her back, her little red lips between her teeth. He probably hated her, his gaze didn’t even meet hers as he passed, he had this nonchalant look on his face, this change in his eyes. He didn’t look like the Xavier she knew.

The gentle one…

The kind one…

The loving one…

At that moment, he seemed so different, so…

Celeste couldn’t describe it, but she knew…something changed in him, the light that had shined around him was now switched off and it was all because of her…

Taking a step forward, she aspired to follow after him, but Celia stopped her. “I’ll go…I have something to say to him.”

Celeste nodded reluctantly, erasing her step. “Alright.”

Celia didn’t waste a second more, she ran her way towards the direction Xavier went, leaving Celeste and Zillon alone in the passage way of the dungeon.

“I see guilt in your eyes, you’re sad, you feel responsible, but why exactly do you feel that way?”

Celeste shrugged. “I don’t know. He seems so fragile now, so different and I think it’s because of me. He used me, I suppose I should hate him, but he has every reason to hate me too. He said it wasn’t fake and even though I shouldn’t, I believe him. Gabriel said they thought of me as their Luna, they’ll all think I abandoned them.”

“That doesn’t matter, if they all can’t support your happiness, then I don’t think they have the right to consider you as their Luna. Don’t mind them, you did nothing wrong, not to Xavier and not to them, you were here first, you were my Luna and if it weren’t for him, you would’ve never left. Blame him, hate him like he hates you, because he deserves it. I was going to apologize to him even though I’ve never wronged him in my life, but would he forgive me? He wouldn’t. He has hated me all his life, plotted to destroy me, he must be glad that somebody else is doing it for him. I wanted to set things straight between us, but that’s not possible, he’s gone again…walked out on me just like he did those long years ago.”

Zillon’s voice broke as he spoke and Celeste couldn’t help but pity him too. Everybody had their problems…

Xavier’s problem was his hate for Zillon…

Zillon’s problem was the fact that he was trying his best to fix Xavier’s problem, but really couldn’t…

Celia’s problem was that she was Xavier’s mate, but there was nothing going on between them…

And Celeste was in the middle of everything…

Everything was her fault. If she hadn’t motivated Zillon that time in the cave, then maybe the fight between them would’ve never happened and Xavier would’ve never ran away. He’d still be here, still be a brother to Zillon and Celia would probably have his mark on her neck…

But she did motivate him in that cave, she had prompted Zillon to win the fight and Xavier ran away, swearing vengeance on the pack. He tried using her to get it, but it didn’t work and now he wasn’t able to accept Celia as his mate because of her.

Celeste wasn’t sure if she was suppose to regret it or not. But if it meant this present they now live in would’ve been better, then she’d regret it, she’d regret it so much.

Letting her hands drop from behind her back and at her sides, she sighed, eyes falling to the dirty floor. “I’m sorry.”

Zillon tilted his head. “You’ve always been sorry, Celeste, since the day you stepped foot in my house, you’ve been saying sorry for things that were never your fault. Stop trying to take the blame for whatever it is that you’re thinking about. You did nothing wrong.”

He patted her head. “Do you understand?”

Celeste nodded, her eyes gliding up to meet his. “Yeah…”

“Good. I’m going to open up the other cell, then I’ll really have to go the training grounds.”

“I know you don’t want me to, but can I come?”

“No.”

“Please….?”

“Only if you’ll stay a kilometre away from everything and everyone.”

“I won’t stay a kilometre away, but I’ll keep my distance. I won’t touch anything, I won’t even move.”

Zillon didn’t believe her, but he didn’t want to leave her alone in this state. She was sad, the doctor said she shouldn’t stress about anything and with him gone, she’d only overthink everything even more…he had to keep her active, that was the only way to keep her happy…

A/N// Our precious little or rather big Zillon😩💯he’s so nice..give him his props, he’s a changed man!
