The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 129 Book 2 Chapter 61

As soon as the afternoon sky reigned above the packlands, the men were set to rest, they talked, they ate and in anxiety they waited.

Some slept, some didn’t, some went home and some did not move from the training grounds. Zillon sat along the sidelines, Celeste’s face hidden against his chest as she sat across his lap. “I don’t like when you’re like this. Why do I have to sit here?”

“Because Kitten, I want you to.”

“But everyon—”

“Nobody’s looking, Celeste. Nobody even cares, everybody knows we’re a thing, mates always do stuff like this.”

“Not in the open, because I’ve never seen them.”

“I see them all the time. Once when I was on patrol, I heard some awful groaning and thought it was someone dying from a rogue attack when in truth two wolves were just f*cking in the bushes like rabbit.”

“That’s a lie and you know it.”

“A lie?”

Zillon motioned to Liam who sat like an overworked donkey by the igloo of water, rubbing down the jug as though it was his woman. “Liam come here!”

Liam glared at him, shaking his head. “Do I look like I can f*cking move?” He yelled back.

“Just come on, I’ll be a second.”

Liam rolled his eyes and g*****d in exaggeration as he stood to his feet and jogged over to where Zillon was. “What in the name of the goddess do you want from this lonely man? You worked me until I can’t move, beat me up in a thousand practical training fights and when I claimed to be thirsty, you didn’t let Celeste give me the bottle of water because you were jealous over it. If there was more water then I wouldn’t have asked for it in the first place. F*cking selfish jackass.”

“I didn’t call you over here to complain, just confirm this then go away with your chattering.” Zillon looked around for a specific pack member and when he didn’t replace her, he spoke. “How many times have we found Marylin in the woods, butt naked and f*cking more than one man?”

Liam tilted his head. “More than five times and did you not see that new girl too, she hadn’t much long turned 18, I’m glad I f*cked her before Patrick did…it would’ve been a disgrace.”

“You f*ck everything that’s legal Liam and I hate you for it…”

“Hate Fredd too, the bastard went right after I did. We turned that poor girl into a s*x addict, she now wets her panty every time we walk by.”

“Stop spurting lies and go now, you’ve confirmed what I wanted you to.”

Liam shook his head, jotting down in front of them. “You thought I’d run all the way over here for nothing? Celeste must have left over food in the fridge, but let me tell you this, you don’t have to save it Kitcat, I’m here and I’m your number one fan when it comes to food.”

Celeste finally lifted her head from Zillon’s chest, looking over at Liam. “I do, you can share with Fredd…but the door’s locked.”

“I bet the window’s open.”

Liam stood to his feet, then waved happily at her before walking away and Celeste went back to hiding in Zillon chest.

“Did you not say you left that for me?”

“I did, but since you’re being a possessive prick again, I gave it to Liam.”

“A possessive prick? The last time you were afraid to call me a s*x beast and yet you said that so bravely? I should just grab your breast so you can m**n as awful as Marylin does in front of everybody.”

Celeste shifted on his lap. “You wouldn’t…”

“I would…” Zillon drawled, his hand climbing up her stomach and stopping just an inch away from her breast. “But I won’t. I know how unlike Marylin you are. If you’re so afraid of public affection, then you’d probably hate me for life if I tried being publicly intimate.”

Celeste grabbed at his hand, bringing it back around her waist. “I’m glad you know.”

Silence took a stance between them and it continued for a while until Zillon broke it. “Do you think it’s a good idea to make Xavier join? I thought about it, his rogues might make us bigger in numbers, but will they make us stronger? That time when I invaded their lands, none of them could really stand up to me. They were weak and I don’t think they have gotten stronger yet, Xavier was the only one who could really put up a fight.”

“I don’t think you should be worrying about that…” Celeste’s eyes flashed over to the far corner of the training ground where Xavier sat by himself. “I think you should be happy he came, that he decided to help and I also think you should go talk to him?”

“About what?”

“I don’t know…about anything; brother stuff.”

Zillon chuckled. “And what exactly would you categorize as brother stuff?”

Celeste shrugged. “I don’t know, perhaps you c—”

“Zillon!”

Zillon turned in the direction his name was yelled, spotting his father. “What?!”

“I want to talk to you…in private.” He walked off and Zillon g*****d mentally before turning back to Celeste. “Gimme a second.”

Celeste nodded, shuffling out of his lap as soon as he allowed her to. “Come back here, okay.”

Zillon nodded, standing to his feet and walking quickly behind his father. He wondered what was the problem now, his father’s voice did not sound pretty.

Gregory stopped a far distant away from where the pack was, and Zillon fastened his steps, catching up to him in seconds. “What did I do now?”

“You have every right to ask that, we kill rogues Zillon, we don’t give them a place of refuge, we don’t accept their help.”

“But it’s Xavier, it’s Xavier who offered help….not just any bunch of rogues, they’re Xavier’s rogues.”

“I don’t care who’s rogues they are, I want them and Xavier off of my packland.”

“What?” Zillon tilted his head, looking at his father in disbelief. “I thought you guys would be happy that he decided to not abandon us like he did a long time ago, I thought you’d be happy he was here. You guys searched for him, didn’t you? We’ve found him now and it doesn’t matter who he is.”

“He’s a rogue, you should’ve killed him when you found him instead of locking him up here.”

“He’s your son too, father, what are you saying?”

“I’m saying that he’s weak, it won’t make a difference if he joins the war, he’ll drag you down more than he’ll help.”

“He’s not weak and even if he was, I’d still accept his help. This is why he ran away in the first place, this is why he abandoned us!”

“He should’ve abandoned us forev—”

“You’re right, I should’ve done just that, father… abandon you guys forever.”
