The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 66

Zillon parked the car and looked over at Celeste who looked back at him curiously. “Where are we going now?”

“Probably to the mall, not sure. Maybe we can replace a jewelry store inside.”

Celeste nodded, opening up her door. “Okay, but can we split up?”

“Why?”

“Because I don’t want you to know what I bought until tonight.”

“I don’t want you to know what I’ll buy either, but I don’t think splitting up is a good idea, you don’t really know the place and I don’t want you to get lost.”

“I’m not going to get lost, I’m a werewolf remember, I can follow your scent.”

“You’ll probably be overwhelmed, there’ll be a lot of people.”

“Well then you can replace me afterwards, we can meet back right there. She pointed to the entrance. “Just wait there when you’re finished.”

Zillon sighed. “Celeste—”

“I’m going to be okay on my own, I promise. I’ll be back even before you.”

“Sure?”

“Yes!”

“And you won’t talk to anyone?”

“Well if they talk to me th—”

“You were suppose to say no, Celeste.”

Celeste cleared her throat. “I meant no.”

“Right.”

“Now get back here in 15 minutes. You can stand at the entrance or by the car, okay?”

Celeste nodded, she being the first person to exit the car and then Zillon. “Here, take my card, th—”

I have money.”

“And where did you get it?”

“Mom and dad doesn’t care about me, but their pride wouldn’t lead them to pauperize me.”

“Celia and I have one of dad’s card and plus I’ve been saving over the years as well.”

“Alright, let’s go.”

Hand in hand they walked into the entity or buildings, only letting go of each other when they were inside amongst other people. Celeste waved at Zillon who glared at her hand. “Bye.”

“I still don’t trust this.” He muttered out. “At least let me follow you to the door, I promise I won’t peek.”

“No.”

“Come on, Celeste.”

Celeste pouted at him. “I might be weak, but I know that I’m stronger than humans, I can do this on my own…please.”

Zillon sighed. “Alright, but get back to me quick, I might actually lose my sh*t”

Celeste nodded, waving again. “I’ll do that.”

Both parted ways, Zillon to the left and Celeste to the right. Her eyes searched the doors of each building, reading what was marked on them until she found just what she wanted; a jewelry store.

She pushed the door open, stepping inside. Immediately her eyes graced a few other people and the jewelries situated beneath glass walls. She stepped further inside, honestly impressed.

She’d never been to a place like this in her life. She went to the only school on the packlands since she was four until she was 18. She never really had any reason to trudge pass the pack borders and into humanity. She was told by the elders that they were vile people and although some had curiously crossed the borders before, they were safely lead back out.

They should never know about werewolves and despite the fact that there are actually human hunters out there, werewolves have never hunted them. Rogues did, they were easy preys after all and rogues tend to think they’re like birds trapped in a cage when they wonder off on their lands.

Pitiful, but life has always been that way.

Walking over to the jewelries which sparkled even brighter than her does of excitement, she assessed them, looking for something she thought would suit Zillon.

She didn’t want a necklace, not a watch, not a ring, not a—

Perhaps a bracelet?

Celeste’s eyes ran over all the one’s she saw, leaning in when one caught her eyes. It was gold, she wasn’t sure if it was real gold, but it was pretty, blue, diamond hearts were engraved around it and it could be worn by both men and women —according to her—.

She looked up at the only person standing behind the glass walls and smiled, pointing down at the bracelet. “How much is this?”

The girl looked down at the one she pointed at. “$160.”

Expensive… Celeste pulled the card from her pocket, offering it to her. “I want it.”

Celeste walked back to the exit, right where Zillon told her to meet him. He wasn’t there which only meant he was still inside.

Nevertheless, she straightened up and started her wait. He wouldn’t be long, she was conscious of it, but unfortunately, she was wrong.

His fifteen minutes apparently meant thirty. Sighing, she decided to go back to the car at least she’d be able to lean against it and avoid all human contact…

As she walked to the car, thinking about how good her bracelet would look on Zillon, she bumped into someone…so much for avoiding human contact.

Stepping back, she bowed her head. “Sorr—”

Her lips seized and her heart started to palpitate in her chest when a familiar scent hit her nostrils.

freshly chopped woods and cherry blossom; Xavier…

Quickly looking up, her eyes widened. “Xa-Xavier…?”

“Ohhh, Celeste it’s you.” He smiled. “I never thought I’d ever see you again, especially not here. I’m happy to have seen you though, you look as beautiful as ever…your hair…your eyes… The anticipation of having you to myself keeps killing me, but I’ll wait a bit longer, you’ll soon be mine anyway.”

He ruffled her hair, then dropped his hand to her cheeks, gently rubbing it. “You’ll cross the borders soon and when you do, you’ll be mine.”

He gave her one last mysterious smile before turning his back to her and sauntering back into the direction in which he came from.

Celeste watched him as he went and not even a second after he disappeared, a hand rested densely on her shoulder, murder intent clear in the aura she picked up. “Z-Zillon?”

“Who the f*ck was that? He’s a wolf and he touched you, I saw. But his scent…his scent smells exactly like…like Xavier’s…”

Zillon walked passed her, walking into the direction Xavier went. Celeste followed him, her expression clueless.

He smelled liks Xavier?

But he actually was Xavier and how was it that Zillon knew him. She stopped by the sidewalk, eyes distractedly watching Zillon as he continued down the road. What was happening? And what did Xavier mean by she’d soon cross the borders?

He sounded so sure…what the hell was happening?

So Xavier’s in again

Some of you liked him, some of you didn’t… But let’s see what he’ll do…is he really nice or is he not?

I like him…I mean he’s hot…I could live against his muscular chest🤤 but Celeste seem to prefer Zillon’s chest….
