The Alpha's Unwanted Mate -
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 84 Book 2 Chapter 16
Zillon’s heart was like a feather in his chest as he approached who he had been craving to see, to touch for months. Her eyes were still as bright as ever, the blue prettier than the ones that coloured the oceans and the sky. Her hair was just like he remembered it; blond and long and utterly beautiful… Her lips too were still as perfect as the very first time he laid eyes on them…
Everything about her was flawless, she hadn’t changed a bit, she was still the same beautiful Celeste who was gifted to him by the goddess herself. She was the girl he loved, the only one for him.
He was so happy to have found her, he might’ve went on rampage, he might’ve killed people who were probably dear to her, but she was Celeste, she’d forgive him, she’d always forgive him…
Caging her against the wall, he looked down at her beauty, honestly lost in it. Her scent though tainted by Xavier’s was still the best thing his nose had ever scented in his life. He brushed her blond hair out of her face, then swiped them behind her ears. “Celest—”
“Leave me alone.”
Zillon shook his head, leaning closer to bury his head against her neck. “You know I can’t do that Celeste, you know how clingy I was before you left, did you think I’d change? I still love you…I always will. Stop trying to push me away.”
“Love? You loved me? Stop lying to yourself because now it’s seems that even you have started to believe. Please let me go, you can’t keep me here against my will.”
“I know, but I have to, I can’t lose you again.”
“You already have, I want nothing to do with you or this pack, I’m done, I’ve been done since the very moment I left.”
The lightness of Zillon’s heart disappeared and a heaviness took it’s place. “Celeste don’t say that, you know it’s not true, y—”
“But it is the truth. I’m done, I want to go back and I want Xavier to come with me.”
Xavier…?
The name alone had Zillon’s vulnerable expression hardening. “Xavier isn’t your mate, I am. You’ll be going nowhere with him, in fact you’re prohibited from even seeing him. You’re mine Celeste, the bond between us is enough to confirm them. Xavier is nothing to me or to you…”
Celeste pushed at his chest, not stopping until she created some distance between them. She looked him in the eye, nothing but austerity on her face as she spoke. “I’m not your mate anymore, I’ve concluded that the moon goddess really made a mistake when she mated you to me. Let’s reject each other, you can have Celia now, you can openly be with her, you won’t have to hide anymore, but just leave me out of it. I’ll go back, I’ll go with Xavier.”
Zillon hands clenched against the wall, his teeth gritted. “Celeste stop this, we were meant to be, you felt it and I felt it too…so stop, don’t call his name and don’t say your sister’s either both of them keeps getting on my nerves.”
“Then was she not getting on your nerves when you were with her on the night of our ceremony?”
“That was…”
“I don’t want to hear it, I want a rejection and I want to see Xavier right after. You can’t control me again, I’m not your Celeste, I’m his.”
“What?”
“He was going to mark me, we were going to be one and you just came and spoilt it. Why hadn’t he done it anyway? I bet you wouldn’t be here now claiming that I’m yours.”
“Celeste what are you talking about…?”
“If you’re going to keep me here, lock me in the dungeon with him…I’d probably be happier there than here with you…”
Zillon’s hand slipped off of the wall, climbing up to press again the left side of his chest. It felt as though a stake was pushed straight through him, he felt as though her words could kill him and that look in her eyes, that aura that surrounded her…
She really wasn’t his Celeste, she had changed; more defiant, more stubborn, she had stopped stuttering when she spoke, her words were now stronger, thrumming against his heart strings like claws.
Why was she being so cruel to him?
It wasn’t his fault…he did nothing wrong…it was…it was…
Zillon gripped at the shirt he wore, accidentally tearing it when the pain increased. His head fell against her shoulder and a g***n so pitiful left his lips…the bond was weakening again…she really did hate him…his kitten, his Celeste now hated him because of something he had no control of…
How could he have let this happen?
How…? Wh…?
Zillon whimpered, tears blurring his vision. “Celeste please…I’m sorry I…”
“I don’t care about your sorry, I want to go.” Her eyes fell to the floor, her heart locked in a cage beyond her chest. She wouldn’t pity him… she didn’t care, she really didn’t.
He could die right here and not a tear would leave her eyes…she didn’t love him anymore, she didn’t…
Then why…?
Celeste’s hand rose from her side, slowly, reluctantly reaching for the soft strands of his hair… His whimpers, his grunts were all so pitiful, she…she—
The door slammed open and instead of comfortingly running her hands through his hair, she used her hand to push him back as Liam walked into the room.
Zillon staggered back, seeming too weak to even stand. Liam ran forward, situating an around his shoulder. “Zillon! Are you alright?”
Zillon nodded, pointing towards her. “I want…I want…”
He whimpered again and Liam glared straight at her, the look seeming astute, deadly, dense. “Stop treating him like trash now…he had endured enough and he did it all for you…ungrateful.”
And then he hauled Zillon out of the room.

A/N// Oh no! I-I-I….what a pitiful sight… Celeste has completely changed hasn’t she?
And Zillon, he has changed too, the rolls have reverse, Celeste isn’t the one in pain now, it’s Zillon, but why do I feel so bad for him…
My heart literally ached while I wrote this chapter as well as the previous ones in his pov…he wasn’t all nice to her…but that’s just how he is…it’s his personality and he was trying to change for her….
