The Alpha's Unwanted Mate
The Alpha’s Unwanted Mate Chapter 92 Book 2 Chapter 24

Nothing but pain and emptiness that’s all Zillon could feel. His body felt crippled, even his tongue felt heavy and no matter how much of the pain he endured, it kept coming.

Doubled…

Trippled….

He could barely hold on, but what gripped him was Celeste…the sad look on her face, the tears in her eyes and how broken she sounded when she kept screaming for him to accept it.

He knew she didn’t want him to die, but without her trust and her love, what would he be living for?

Zillon thought of his pack, but he really couldn’t lead them without Celeste, she was the only person who could keep him sane, he didn’t think anybody could replace her…

She was too unique, too special, too precious… He hated the fact that he’d be leaving her, but he found it hard to live, hard to breathe when the thought of her not being apart of his future ran across his mind.

So he wouldn’t accept this rejection, despite knowing that it’ll kill him…

He wouldn’t accept it, despite the fact that she kept begging him to…

He wouldn’t accept it, despite th—

“Zillon please…stop you’ll die, you’ll….”

Zillon gripped his chest tighter…”Shhh…y-you don’t have to watch, you…you can go now, y-you can….”

Celeste wiped at her eyes for the hundredth time, and yet more tears kept coming. She didn’t want this, not for a second did she think it would’ve turned out like this. She wanted a rejection, she was tired of loving him and tired of being hurt by him.

It’s been 10 years since Zillon had been her crush, even as a child she saw him as somebody she wanted to marry when she grew up, and when she became a teenager, nobody interested her but him. Liam and Fredd were hot too and yet it never once crossed her mind that she could maybe marry them too…

It was all him…he was the only one she wanted and now that she had him, there were so many obstacles. Her sister wanted him too and between them was a competition that Celeste couldn’t seem to win…she was tired, she honestly was, but no matter how hard she tried to deny it, how hard she tried to fight it, her love for him kept growing.

She tried to forget him, but it had never worked, thoughts of him was still splayed out across her mind…the memories were like nightmares that kept haunting her and yet they were like dreams she wanted to relive too….

His sinful touches, the possessiveness he’d always display, the gentleness and even the roughness, everything appeased her as long it was him.

Xavier was the opposite of him, his touches were angelic and the only thing he displayed to her was love, not possessiveness. He had no roughness in him, he was all gentle, so soft, so docile.

She loved him and she loved Zillon too, but if she had to narrow it down to who she loved the most, it’d be Zillon…however if she had to choose, she’d choose Xavier…

He treated her much better than Zillon did, but now she couldn’t stop herself for having doubts…what if Zillon really was telling the truth?

What if that night he really thought Celia was her?

What if he really didn’t cheat?

Celeste ran her slightly shaking hands through her hair, her heart palpitating with speed. What if she left him for nothing?

What if she was the one who cheated…? The one who gave up on him even though he didn’t give up on her…

What if h—?

A whimper from Zillon had her jumping out of her thoughts. Her eyes glided down to him, watching as his face twisted into multiple expressions of pain, his claws were out now, clawing at his chest and garnering b***d that dripped abundantly down his body.

Tears were still running down his eyes and grunt after grunt floated from his beautiful pink lips…he looked as though he was on the brink of dying, he looked so pitiful, so unlike the Zillon she knew…

And it was all because of her…

Celeste’s lips trembled, honestly replaceing it hard to watch him suffer. “Z-Zillon please….”

Zillon’s only response to her was a grunt, and guilt washed over Celeste like rain. “Z-Zillon…?”

His eyes were blinking slowly as if they’d permanently close soon and his body weakly swayed from side to side… He was going to die…he was going t—

Celeste slid off of the bed, pathetically creeping over to him…she didnt care if he cheated on her or not, she didn’t care if Xavier treated her better than he did, she didn’t care about anything but him in this very moment.

Death wasn’t something she wanted for him and even though she had opened her mouth and stubbornly voiced a rejection, all she really wanted was to be with him again…

She lied to herself, she couldn’t stop loving him, she never would…he was her mate for a reason, he was the only one who could save her from being unwanted…she had said so as a kid and as an adult, she couldn’t help but say the same.

It seems he really did try for her, if not, then why else would he be putting himself through so much pain for her?

Why else would he have tried so hard win her back?

Why else would he come looking for her after she ran away?

Why else?

Celeste’s arms locked around her back, her eyes watering as she laid her head against his shoulder. “I-I take it back, okay? I take it back…so stop crying…stop scraping…”

She grabbed at the hand that was clawing against his chest, holding it firm in hers. “I don’t want a rejection, I don’t want to break our bond…I don’t-I don’t want you to die…please…”
