The Apple of My Eye -
Chapter 1665 Make A Decision For You
In the video, the man had his back straightened and the woman was attractive. The two looked like a couple. If one watched carefully, it was easy to tell that the man was Ferry and the woman was Sheryl. It was them at the hospital just now.
The person who took the video was obviously a professional paparazzi. He had taken the video in such an angle that made it seem like Ferry was kissing Sheryl on the cheek. On the video, they seemed so intimate and close as if they were an actual couple.
Ferry curled his lips and flashed a sly smile. This was exactly what he wanted.
"Sheryl, since you can't decide, I'll do it for you." Ferry saved the video on the computer and then switched off the computer because he was already done.
As soon as he finished, Ferry took his phone out and called Holley.
Holley was living a good life. Ferry hadn't been calling her, so she'd just assumed he'd already forgotten about her. This was all short-lived as just as Holley had slept with Jordan, Ferry was suddenly calling her.
Holley didn't really want to answer the call until she saw the caller ID.
Instead of Ferry's name, she had saved his number under the name of an uncle.
Holley immediately felt nervous upon seeing this name. Why would he be calling her? She knew she had no choice but to answer the call.
"Wait a moment. It's my uncle. I need to answer his call," Holley said, stopping Jordan from getting close to her. Then she playfully pushed him away, flashing him a grin.
Jordan was aroused and wasn't exactly happy about the disturbance caused by this phone call. "Can't you answer it later?"
"My uncle never calls me if it's not important. He's calling me because it's urgent. It'll be quick. I just need to talk to him. Wait for me." Holley kissed Jordan's forehead and then went to the balcony to take the call.
"Hello. Can I help you?" Holley lowered her voice on purpose because she didn't want Jordan to hear her.
"What? You don't want to answer my call?" As soon as Ferry heard Holley's voice, he immediately knew that she was with somebody else.
Lucky for Holley, he had just finished the video of him and Sheryl, so he was in a good mood, and thus, didn't lose his temper right away.
When Holley heard Ferry's voice, she thought she'd misheard him because he was always in a bad mood whenever he talked to her. She paused for a while before answering, "Hmm."
"Charles is awake, so what happened to your plan with Leila?" Ferry asked casually, playing with the lighter in his hand.
"Well, Leila is looking after Charles and Melissa. As soon as Charles gets discharged, she can get started on the plan. Everything's already prepared, and we just need to wait now." Holley sighed with relief, pleased that Ferry was only asking about her plan with Leila. If he had asked to see her right now, she wouldn't have known what to say to Jordan.
"That's good. It better go well, because you know what's going to happen if it doesn't." Ferry picked up the glass of wine from the table and took a sip.
Holley still wasn't used to hearing Ferry speak like this. 'What's going on with him today?'
He had just basically threatened her but with his tone, it didn't seem like it. In fact, she even thought she'd misheard him again.
"Don't worry. I won't let you down this time. I will deal with everything," Holley assured Ferry seriously and hoped that he believed it and trusted her.
Ferry paused for a while before saying, "You don't need to assure me. I believe that you know what your life is worth."
"Yes." Holley felt a chill run down her spine. This was typical Ferry..
Holley knew that Ferry had control over her life. If he was in a bad mood, he'd take it out on her. After so long, she should've gotten used to it by now, but she still wasn't. Any time she saw Ferry or even heard his voice, she'd still tremble in fear. She never got past that. She truly saw Ferry as Satan-her very own personal nightmare.
As she stood on the balcony, Holley was quivering in fear. Jordan, still in the room, had no idea what was going on because he couldn't hear her, but he could still see her. This was how he knew that something was wrong.
Jordan got up and put on a coat before going out to the balcony.
"What's wrong?" Jordan hugged Holley from behind, wanting to give her some warmth.
Holley almost jumped because she hadn't heard him coming. She put her phone away nervously and looked at him bashfully. "Nothing. Why'd you come out?"
"I saw the look on your face. I was worried about you." Jordan looked Holley in the eye. He looked so concerned.
Holley smiled. "I'm fine. Now go back inside. You might get a cold. I'll be right in."
Then she pushed Jordan back into the room.
Jordan had no choice but to go back inside. Even though he was confused, he decided to let it go.
Holley heaved a sigh of relief when Jordan went in. She quickly put her cell phone beside her ear and said, "I see. I'll get it done as soon as possible."
Holley crossed her fingers that Ferry would have hung up the phone.
However, Ferry wasn't stupid. He knew what Holley was trying to do and he wasn't going to let her manipulate him like that.
He had heard the concern in Jordan's voice just now, which made him realize how well Jordan was really treating Holley.
Ferry envied that kind of relationship. However, he couldn't have it. Because of Holley, the woman he loved had left him. Why would he ever let Holley get away with that?
"What? Jordan can't wait anymore? He's so crazy about the woman I left?" Ferry sneered.
Holley was scared and her face instantly turned pale.
"What on earth do you want? Didn't I already agree to what you want? What more do you want?" Holley was so tired of Ferry pushing her around. She was so stressed that she started to feel her chest constricting.
Ferry just let out a small chuckle.
"Do you really think I'll let you go? If you can't stand it anymore, well boo-hoo, and go to hell. I'll only let you go when you're dead!" Ferry hissed.
Holley knew that death was the only way she could escape Ferry, but she wasn't going to kill herself just to make that happen.
She wanted to live her life, even if that meant dealing with Ferry threatening her every single day.
"I'm sorry. It was my fault. I shouldn't have done that," Holley said softly.
Ferry nodded with satisfaction. He rolled his eyes as if he thought of something all of a sudden. Then he asked, "Someone wanted to stab me in the back earlier. Were you behind that?"
