"You're kidding me, Brittany getting hitched? And since when did you two have anything going on?" Wesley thought he was being played.

How could these two, who seemed to have no connection whatsoever, have tied the knot?

Upon hearing this, Isaac raised an eyebrow, "Wanna see the proof?"

Wesley was dumbstruck, "You two... really got hitched?"

Whoa- That was the most shocking news he heard this year!

"Yes." The words slipped out of Isaac's mouth before he could regret it. He had just spilled the beans to Wesley, who was known for his big mouth. It wouldn't take long before everyone knew about his marriage... but he didn't seem to mind too much. After a moment of silence, Wesley gave him a peculiar look, "Zac, you really pulled off a fast one."

Isaac had quietly gotten married. What was even more surprising was that his wife was Brittany! Did he know about William's crush on Brittany?

He was extremely curious, and couldn't figure out how they ended up together, "Can you tell me why you two got married?"

It couldn't possibly be for love! Isaac, known for his cold demeanor, how could he possibly fall for someone?

"She doesn't know who I am. Don't spread the word about our marriage or you'll regret it."

Isaac gave Wesley a warning glance, who sucked in a breath, "Got it."

Although he wasn't good at keeping secrets, he knew when to draw the line. He had felt the wrath of Isaac before. If he screwed this up, he knew what kind of retaliation he'd face.

After he left, Wesley's legs gave out and he cursed under his breath. What a small world!

When Isaac got back to his apartment, he received a text from Brittany.

[Zac, I'm staying at a friend's tonight. Sort out your own dinner. ]

Isaac thought about what happened at the Dustin family. He had looked into Brittany before. She and Finn grew up together and had been a couple for four years. Now that they had a falling out, Brittany must have been upset. The thought of her being upset over another man irritated him for a moment.

He quickly replied with an okay.

Since Brittany wasn't coming home, he decided to stop by the Salter family home.

Upon seeing him, the butler came forward, "Mr. Issac"

"Where's my grandmother?"

"She's exercising in the yard. She says it's important to stay healthy."

Isaac supported Grace's exercise regimen. As he walked into the yard, Grace frowned when she saw him alone.

"Didn't you bring my granddaughter-in-law back?"

"No."

Isaac looked up, "I came to keep you company, aren't you happy?"

Grace huffed, "I've been looking at you for almost thirty years, what's so interesting about that? My granddaughter-in-law is my treasure. I'm telling you, if you scare her away, you'll have to answer to me!" Isaac deeply regretted letting Grace meet Brittany.

The old lady walked over to him, "I didn't ask the last time we met, how did you and Bri meet?"

Isaac wasn't sure how to respond. In his mind, he thought, we met through a one-night stand.

That was something he couldn't say out loud. After a moment of thought, he said, "We met when we were at our lowest and then we got married."

Grace sighed, "I can tell, you don't like Bri yet."

She knew her grandson too well, "But I can see that she is a good kid. Spend more time with her, and feelings can be cultivated."

When Isaac heard the word 'like', he paused for a moment. It could become a burden. He wasn't ready to face that yet.

"Grandma, I understand." Grace was the person he cared about most, so he wouldn't discuss this with her. He then helped her sit down. "Grace, Miss Sydney is here."

"Let her in."

After Isaac sat down, the butler brought Sydney in, still in her engagement party dress. "Grace, Isaac."

Her voice was soft, barely concealing her attempt to cozy up to them.
