The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac) -
Chapter 731
Chapter 731
High and mighty, the usually aloof Isaac found himself begging for another chance.
The sense of triumph was simply intoxicating.
Under the silver moonlight, Brittany, the apple of Isaac's eye, was like a field of poppies, dangerously alluring. It had been a long time since Isaac had spent time alone with her. Licking his lips, he dared to ask, "Can I..."
"No."
Brittany, sensing his intentions, rejected him outright. "Isaac, I've already agreed to your request. You should leave. Don't stay here."
Isaac's lips quivered. It seemed like he'd made an enormous decision. "You promised me something. You have to keep it."
She couldn't be with other men, absolutely not!
Brittany chuckled lightly and walked inside.
She initially wanted to clear her head, but then she was in no mood to do so.
The moment she closed the door, the man outside collapsed.
Brittany didn't want to bother with him, but she was afraid he might actually die on her doorstep. She opened the door, looking down at Isaac, "Isaac?" He was probably faking it.
After all, he was quite the actor.
She called out a few times, but Isaac didn't respond. Crouching down, she noticed that Isaac's eyes were tightly shut, his handsome face unusually pale. He had lost much weight since she last saw him, with dark circles under his eyes.
Brittany's heart fluttered slightly. She went back into her room, grabbed her phone, and called Nathan. "Isaac's here. Can you come and get him?"
Nathan was awakened, and the nearby Kari Malone, feeling a bit drowsy, asked, "What's going on?"
Hearing Kari Malone's voice, Brittany hesitated. It seemed like she had disturbed their peaceful world. "Nothing, just a call. Go back to sleep."
Kari, who had been working overtime for several days, was exhausted. Hearing Nathan's words, she fell back asleep without a second thought. Nathan got out of bed and left the bedroom.
He turned on the living room light and rubbed his forehead, "Ms. Dustin, hold on. I'm on my way."
"Forget it." Brittany thought about how hard it was for Nathan and Kari to replace time together. It wouldn't have been fair to interrupt them at that time. "Just bring over some fresh clothes tomorrow morning." After hanging up, Brittany, feeling annoyed, glanced at Isaac, who was still lying on the ground. She half-dragged and half-carried him back home.
Isaac was in a deep sleep, not even waking up when he was thrown onto the couch with a thud.
Bringing him back was already doing him a favor.
She went back to her room, grabbed a small blanket, and tossed it onto Isaac before leaving him there.
After taking a shower and lying down, she tossed and turned until dawn, when she finally fell asleep.
When she woke up, she found a hot breakfast on the dining table.
Daniel emerged from the bedroom, looking surprised at the man coming out of the kitchen, "Daddy, why are you here?"
Isaac was still in his clothes from the previous day. But he was always well-dressed, never wearing the same outfit two days in a row.
Perhaps after a good night's sleep, he seemed to have been in a decent state at that time. Seeing the surprised looks on the faces of mother and son, he smiled, "Let's have breakfast." Daniel's eyes were full of hope.
Brittany took Daniel to the dining table, and they both sat down. Isaac brought over two cups of warm milk.
Placing the milk on the table, he pushed one of the cups towards Brittany, "Thanks for last night."
He'd been too tired recently, pulling several all-nighters in a row. Last night, he was so exhausted that he fainted.
Brittany picked up the milk and took a sip, "You should see a doctor when you have time."
Isaac's expression changed slightly, "I'm not sick.""
Brittany narrowed her eyes, "Don't you have insomnia?"
At first, Isaac thought Brittany was mocking him, but hearing her words, a hint of amusement flashed in his eyes, "Are you worried about me?"
