If before Eloise had been concerned about maintaining her reputation for fairness, this time around, she blatantly sided with Jenny.

The principal was well aware Eloise was pressuring him. With a look of consternation, he glanced at Freya across from him.

After all, the woman before him was Kieran's ex-fiancée from the Sutton family, a lineage that Ronan had always taken great care of. What if the punishment was too severe and drew the higher-up's attention?

With a heart of unease, the principal gave Eloise another look, remembering she was Kieran's favored lady. He didn't want to offend her. So, with a decisive slap on the desk, he turned to Freya and said, "Freya! They all say they saw you hitting Jenny. What do you have to say for yourself?"

The principal was desperately signaling, hoping Freya could provide some evidence in her favor, even if it wasn't entirely convincing.

Freya wasn't born yesterday. She made a beeline for Jenny and shot out a hand for her wrist. Jenny tried to duck out, but Freya was faster, not giving Jenny a chance to slip away. Jenny had to let Freya get hold of her wrist.

"Ouch! Let go! Let go of me!" Jenny struggled fiercely and pushed Freya away.

"This is the evidence," Freya stated.

"What? How is that evidence?" the principal exhaled slowly. "Freya, I'm giving you a chance to defend yourself. Don't just brush this off!"

Freya explained, "The library has surveillance footage, right? It should show me grabbing Jenny's wrist, my thumb underneath. But the bruise on Jenny's wrist, the thumbprint, is on

top. Doesn't that seem odd? V

After hearing that, Jenny's face turned sour. Even Eloise furrowed her brows. Under such circumstances, who would notice such minor details?

"The only truth is that Jenny injured her wrist and blamed it on me."

"You're talking nonsense!" Jenny immediately retorted, "With exams around the corner, why would I injure my hand to frame you? You're spouting nonsense!" "Whether it's nonsense or not, the surveillance footage will tell. Principal, someone is trying to frame me, and I would like a resolution. I trust the school will give me justice."

At that point, Freya paused and then

said, "Today, Jenny said since I've broken off my engagement with the Sutton family, the principal wouldn't speak for me. I believe in your integrity that you wouldn't be so mercenary, right?"

"You! Freya, you!" Jenny was so angry that her face turned red.

The principal looked more uncomfortable. Indeed, he hadn't wanted to speak for Freya, but he had been in touch with Kieran, who had no intention of making things difficult for Freya. So, he dared not take any rash actions against her.

Things had gotten even worse! Jenny was even damaging his reputation!

With this thought, the principal immediately turned his warning gaze toward Jenny, who was so frightened that she didn't dare lift her head, fearing the principal's glare could cut her down.
