"In my opinion, the best way out of this mess is to replace someone to take the fall!" Hayden said.

Hayden was still clinging to the hope of getting in good with the Smith family.

They couldn't let Sophia mess everything up.

The Brown family was a big deal, and the future of Brown Corporation was even bigger.

"But... how do we replace someone?" Evelyn asked, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Hayden shot a glare at Sophia and continued, "Just replace the doctor who gave her the certificate and say... say it was a misdiagnosis!"

"But that doctor has already been paid off!" Sophia snapped.

She thought Hayden was being totally unrealistic. To clear the Brown family, he was willing to let her be humiliated again. Her so-called reputation was just a stepping stone for his climb to the top!

"So what if he was paid off? As long as we deny it, what proof does he have that you told him to do it? Sophia, did you hear me? Get up right now and go replace that doctor." Hayden tried to pull Sophia up as he spoke. Out of nowhere, Sophia smashed the empty wine bottle in her hand in front of Hayden.

Hayden jumped back, startled. Evelyn screamed, "Sophia, what are you doing? You're really crazy!"

"Yes!" Sophia's eyes were bloodshot as she yelled at Evelyn. "I am crazy! Spare me your hypocrisy! I forbid you to go replace Michael. It's over between us. I'll replace a way to get revenge on Emily myself. I don't need your help!"

"And do you really think Michael is an idiot? He'd believe what you say? Why would the doctor lie to me for no reason? What would he gain? Stop making things worse! Get out, all of you, get out of here. I don't need you to handle my affairs!" With that, Sophia got up and shoved Evelyn and Hayden out of the bedroom.

The couple was kicked out.

Evelyn was at a loss and could only cry on Hayden's shoulder. "Honey, what are we going to do now? Sophia's become like this, and you and I are both responsible. You can't just leave her like this! I'm in a tough spot too. You have to protect us. I can't live without you."

Playing the weak and pitiful role was something she was always good at.
