The CEO's Empathy Pregnancy Pains -
Chapter 68 Help Me One More Time
Emily squirmed under him, feeling that all-too-familiar dread. She was shattered inside. Why? Was Michael the only one they drugged? Was this their only move? Why did she always end up suffering whenever he was drugged? Was this supposed to be some twisted benefit for her? She didn't want it, and she couldn't take it.
Emily was on the brink of tears. She managed to free one hand and pressed down on his, which was fumbling all over her. "No, no, no, Michael, wake up. How did you get drugged again?" She shoved Michael away, trying to escape, but he yanked her back. Emily was livid. "Michael, wake up. I can't do this. I'm telling you."
Michael remembered Emily saying the same thing last time. She was still saying no, but he couldn't stand hearing it anymore. In a flash, he pinned her down on the bed. "You can't, but I can."
Emily cried out, "No, let me go. Do you even know what you're doing?"
They wrestled on the bed again. Emily didn't want him to hurt the baby. She slapped him, almost driven mad with anger.
But Michael still held her down, pleading softly, "Emily, Emily, please, help me. Just one more time."
Emily's eyes were red with fury. "Michael, are you going to keep bullying me? Why do you always do this to me? Why don't you go replace Sophia? Are you hesitant? Do you think you need to give her a status before you can do this? But I'm not her, and I don't want this either. Michael, let me go."
Michael heard Emily's crying and sobered up a bit, but the turmoil inside him was uncontrollable. He held Emily, trying to steady his breathing. "Emily, please. She's different from others. Only you, only you can help me."
Emily misunderstood his words. "You mean Sophia is different, and what about me? Am I just supposed to let you bully me? Every time you get drugged, you come to me. Do you know that I already..." Emily wanted to tell him she was pregnant. Could he stop being so crazy? But remembering what he had just said about Sophia being different, she couldn't say anything.
Emily turned her head, her tearful eyes full of sympathy. "I really can't help you."
Emily wanted to leave, but Michael held her tightly. "Emily, one last time, really the last time."
Seeing his pleading attitude, Emily softened. He would only be humble and speak so gently at times like this.
But then she thought of how he had protected Sophia. She resisted and struggled. "No, Michael, we can't do this."
Michael could only hold her and kiss her repeatedly, whispering in her ear, "Emily, Emily, help me one more time. The last time, really the last time. I won't bully you, just like last time, okay?"
Then he took Emily's hand and guided it to the metal buckle of his belt. Emily wanted to cry but couldn't. Her face turned red as she avoided looking at him, feeling an unprecedented sense of shame. Emily couldn't remember when it ended. All she knew was that afterward, Michael took her to wash her hands. She kept her head down, buried in his chest, not saying a word.
Michael knew she was mad and said, "Emily, I'm sorry." It was the first time he had ever said that to her.
Emily calmly replied, "Michael, when you have time, let's get a divorce. We've delayed this long enough."
Actually, Emily was scared that if they waited any longer, she wouldn't be able to hide her pregnancy. How would she explain it then?
Michael paused while washing her hand, his face turning grim. "Emily, do you have to say this now? You know Grandpa doesn't want us to divorce, and I haven't dared to bring it up in front of him recently." Emily said, "I don't want to upset Grandpa either, but what about you?"
For some reason, Michael suddenly felt uneasy and irritable. "Emily, do you really want a divorce that badly?"
Emily said, "Yes, very much."
Without hesitation, Michael walked out. No matter how close they had been before, Michael once again abandoned her coldly.
Emily, exhausted, returned to the bed, forcing herself to forget what had just happened and Michael's cold expression before he left.
Emily waited for days, but Michael never brought her "Lucky." Moreover, Michael had been avoiding her, not seeing her at all. She laughed bitterly. Was it because she had mentioned divorce a few days ago? Could he be regretting and unwilling to give her "Lucky"? Emily was a bit worried. He had kissed her and touched her. Was he going to go back?
Thinking of this, Emily couldn't sit still. She decided to go replace Michael herself. If she couldn't see him at home, she would go to his office. When Emily arrived at the office, she saw Sophia sitting in Michael's office.
Emily's face darkened. She hadn't expected to run into Sophia. If she had known, she would have come at a different time. "Where's Michael?" Emily asked bluntly.
Michael was hogging her Lucky. What was he up to? Sophia's expression darkened when she saw Emily, then she said, "Emily, what are you doing here?"
"Sophia, can you stop being so disgusting?" Emily glanced at Sophia and then turned her head away, not wanting to see someone so nauseating. She really felt sick. Sophia hadn't expected Emily to confront her right away. She sneered and said, "Emily, Don't think Michael will love you. Let me tell you, one day, I will be the Mrs. Smith."
Emily laughed coldly, "Sophia, only you would covet the position of Mrs. Smith. But you're really disgusting, wanting a man that someone else abandoned."
Sophia's face changed, and she said, "Emily, don't go too far. Don't expect Michael to love you. Do you think that he will love you if you act differently in front of him, by putting away your former obedience and showing your strength? Do you think that he will love you if you are unique? I advise you to give up on that idea. When I was dating Michael, weren't you watching beside? You should know how he loves someone. Do you think he loves you now?"
