Chapter 364

She turned her head, peering at him through bleary eyes, about to take a sip from her glass of wine.He made a quick stride towards her, snatching the glass out of her hand.

“You're drunk, no more drinking.”

She rolled her eyes at him, clearly annoyed. “I'm not drunk, and I can hold my liquor.”

"Stop, darling.” Leopold placed the wine glass on the coffee table.

He could tell that her calmness during the day was a facade. She was deeply hurt. She had nevertruly given up on Arnold, still waiting for him to divorce Lisa. That was why she didn't care abouthim, her husband, keeping him at a distance, never letting him close.

Aurelia was completely drunk by now leaning on him and giggling Leopold, I want to go for a drive.Take me for a drive”

“Alright.” He picked her up in his arms and headed out, his mood somber

As they got into the car, Aurelia rolled down the window, letting the cool night air sweep in. Theride was filled with silence, only broken by the occasional sound of the car engine.

Leopold was gloomy Thinking about how her heart was filled with Arnold, and there was no roomfor him, filled him with jealousy and frustration

Aurelia pouted, Leopold, why aren't you talking? Always so cold, I hate it"

“What do you want me to say?” He was in no mood for conversation

Aurelia puffed her cheeks. Always giving me that stern look, you were like this before and you stillare. Nothing has changed.”

Leopold was furious, “Are you constantly comparing me to Arnold, thinking I'm not as good ashim?”

“You are you, and he is him, why compare?” She huffed, a wave of resentment washing over her, “Idon't like you because you hurt me. Do you think a few sweet words can heal my wounds? It's likenailing a hole in the wall. Even if you remove the nail, the hole is still there, always there.”

She clutched her chest, “My heart has a hole too, made by you. It won't ever heal.”

The corner of Leopold's mouth tightened. He couldn't go back in time. All he could do was try tosoothe her wounds, to erase her resentment.

“Can I try to fill the hole?”

“No, it can't be filled.” She shook her head vehemently, a vengeful glint in her eyes, “I want to nail abunch of holes in your heart too, make it just like mine, full of holes, make you

suffer too.”

Leopold took her hand, placing it over his heart, “Mine isn't any better, and it's riddled with holes.”In the three years he lost her, his heart ached every single day.

Aurelia pulled her hand back, taking a deep breath as she leaned back in her seat, “I don't want tobe involved with you and Arnold anymore, because you're too much trouble. I want to be alone.Without men, there's no trouble. Why don't you try being alone too?”

Leopold frowned, “I have a wife, so why would I want to be alone?”

"Where's your wife?” She looked around, “I don't see your wife. Did she fall out of the car?”

Leopold was speechless, and he opened his hand, placing it on her head, “Isn't that you?”

"Oh, I'm your wife. I almost forgot.” She started giggling, “Being your wife isn't fun. It's not fun at all.I don't want to be anymore, okay?”

“No!”

Leopold pinched her face and said, “Being my wife is for life, so you can't quit.”

She pouted, clearly angry, “I hate that you're always so domineering.”

Leopold was speechless. In some aspects, he would not compromise.

“You need to behave, or I'll be even more domineering.”
