"Don't you know what's going on? Haven't you seen today's news yet?" Winter asked, stunned. "Someone posted pictures of me at Collosus Group's annual dinner online."

"Isn't that a good thing?" Suzy asked, confused. "I've been at home with my parents the past two days and haven't been paying attention to the news. But shouldn't that be a good thing if that's what's happened?"

"Not at all. It may have been if it was reported positively, but it was done so negatively. Someone took a picture of Charles and me from an odd angle and sold it to the paparazzi. Now, all the headlines are about me and Charles, saying that we have a hidden relationship. This wouldn't matter all that much if I weren't married, but the thing is that I'm married to Xavier. Moreover, Xavier and Charles are connected in their own way as well. Suzy, you've got to help me come up with a plan!"

"That's going to be difficult to deal with. Does Charles know about this? What about Royal Star?" Suzy's brows knitted themselves together tightly. "You should immediately leave that place and head back home, Winter. It'd be best if you could get yourself onto a flight today. We can't put off dealing with this issue. If your public image gets affected, there's no doubt that given Charles' personality, he will opt to protect his own peace and turn his back on you."

"Alright, I'll buy myself a ticket home immediately." Winter hurriedly nodded before she added, "Xavier already knows about this, and he seems really angry. He just left. Would he be even angrier at me if I leave now?"

"Do you think you have the capacity to cater to Xavier's moods right now? Come home right now, Ms. Winter Shaw. Xavier will be fine once we've taken care of everything on our end," Suzy said exasperatedly. "I'll book you a plane ticket immediately."

As Suzy hung up the phone, Mrs. Atherton walked over and handed her a plate of fruit. "Winter Shaw again? Didn't your dad and I tell you to cut ties with that woman? Weren't you hurt enough from what happened last time?"

"Mom, stay out of this," Suzy said, a cold look emanating from her eyes as she clutched her phone. "All the hurt I had to endure back then is precisely why I'm still in touch with her now."

"You... Suzy, why put yourself through all this trouble? Listen to me. I've enrolled you in a school overseas, and we'll go on a holiday together soon. Everything that's happening in Brookville..."

"Mom, I must resolve this. I'll go wherever you want me to go after I'm done with this, but I won't take a single step out of Brookville before this, and that's that." Suzy put an end to the conversation with Mrs. Atherton, who sighed. She knew what her daughter was doing was wrong but had no idea how to stop her. "Hubby, say something to your daughter!"

"I think Suzy is right. Why should that woman walk away scot-free when our Suzy had to go through sq many grievances and hurt? She'll have a lesson taught to her sooner or later. We'll just have to sit back and wait!" Mr. Atherton was extremely displeased with Winter, too.

They had long since been against Suzy being friends with someone like Winter, but she had refused to listen to them back then. Now, she had to pay the price for that. However, it was alright since she had learned her lesson and was turning over a new leaf.

"Suzy, I promise to always be on your side, so long you don't do anything too overboard!"

"Thank you, Dad!" After what happened, Suzy finally knew just how much her parents cared about her. "I'll leave Brookville the minute this matter is resolved." "Alright. Attagirl!"
