The Cherished Wife (Noelle and Charles) -
Chapter 680
News about Winter's situation spread rapidly online. In less than half a day, numerous versions of Winter and Charles's relationship began circulating. However, due to Charles' status in Brookville, most discussions focused on Winter. Charles' photos were promptly removed, making them unavailable on the internet.
At Phoenix Tree Residence, Noelle was scrolling through current affairs. She cherished this opportunity to relax as she finally had two days off.
Having wasted time the previous day and night, Noelle was determined to stay in today. Besides, the cold of winter had finally set in, and she preferred staying warm.
A cup of coffee sat next to Noelle, but it had already cooled. When she put her phone down and picked up the cup, she realized it was no longer warm. She went to the kitchen to make a fresh cup.
When she returned, she saw Charles coming downstairs dressed in casual sportswear. The light gray outfit and slightly tousled hair gave him a completely different look from his usual suit-clad appearance.
He looked less like the distant, aloof figure she knew and more like someone at ease, touched by everyday life. Charles noticed Noelle too.
Sitting on the couch, he beckoned her over. Noelle walked over and handed him the coffee. "All done with work?"
"Yeah," Charles replied, taking the cup. He lifted his other hand, pulling Noelle toward him. She tumbled into his arms.
Noelle braced herself against the couch with one hand and placed the other on his chest, exasperated. "Careful. You're holding hot coffee!" Then, she added, "Can't you sit properly?"
Charles raised an eyebrow but released her hand. He brought the coffee close to his nose, inhaling the aroma. "Freshly brewed?" Noelle nodded. "I thought you'd take longer upstairs. Done so soon?"
"My work efficiency is higher than
yours," Charles teased. He took a sip of the coffee and frowned slightly. "How many sugar cubes did you add?"
CUMS
"Just one. Noelle chuckled.
"Actually, didn't make it for you. et
Who knew you'd come down right
I
when I was done brewing a cup for myself?"

She stood up, patting his hand. "If it's too sweet, just leave it. I'll make you a new one."
As she tried to leave, Charles grabbed her hand and pulled her back. "No need," he said while putting the cup down.
He gently guided her to lie down, positioning her head on his lap while her legs rested on the arm of the couch.
Surprised, Noelle raised an eyebrow
and found herself gazing into Charles' deep, smiling eyes. "What's going on? You're acting strange today she remarked, touching his forehead and smoothing his brows.
"Don't frown. It makes you look older."
Charles narrowed his eyes and asked hesitantly, "Aren't there any questions you want to ask me?"
