-Are you all the patient's relatives?

-I am his wife. How is my husband?

-He's going to be fine, the bullet didn't damage any organs. What he did lose is a lot of blood and unfortunately the type of blood the patient has is a bit complicated. We have run out of what we had in the blood bank. -Don't worry about that doctor, I'll send you more right away," said Demian.

-Thank you very much Mr. Morgan.

-Can I come in to see my husband?

-Yes, but only you. It's not convenient for everyone to come in.

-Is Liam fit to be moved to a clinic? -Demian asks.

-I'm very sorry, Mr. Morgan, but he's not... it's convenient for him to stay here for his recovery.

The doctor leaves with Lucia, leaving the rest of the family a little relieved. Demian looks at Daniels and Daniels looks at him.

-This hospital will need protection, take care of it.

-All right," he replies, making his way to the exit.

-Reece, get Liam's blood type and bring him in.

-Yes, father." The boy said goodbye to his wife and left. -Violet, we need to talk.

-Now is not a good time Demian," warns Demian's mother.

-I said, let's talk.

The young woman looks defiantly at her father, stands up to follow him down the hospital corridor. She knew she was in for a good reprimand, most likely he would demand that she never see Dylan again, but her warning was too late because the idiot was engaged to someone else. He was just having fun with her, she was so angry that she didn't care if she killed the a*****e.

-Are you in love with that guy?

She stops in her tracks and looks up, noticing that her father was lighting a cigarette while he was asking her that question out of context, "In love with Dylan? but where the hell did he get a question like that? -What? What are you talking about?

-Don't play dumb, you protect him, you challenge your family, you run off with him and if that wasn't enough Liam's life was in danger because of your recklessness. Doesn't that sound like falling in love to you.

Had he done all that, he didn't see it that way. It couldn't be that it meant he'd fallen in love with that idiot Dylan. She put her head down a little, recapitulating everything she'd done, hell, that wasn't possible. And judging by the frantic beating of his heart he suspected that his father's accusations were not far from the truth.

-What do you want to do? -Her father's voice echoed inside her head.

-I'm not in love with him, you're wrong.

-I'm not wrong, Violet. And even if you love that guy, I don't care, I'll kill him," she says with conviction. She looks up to see the seriousness in her father's eyes.

-Why? Why do you want to kill him? Give me a reason that justifies what you want to do.

-Take comfort in knowing that I'm going to do it.

Demian finishes smoking his cigarette, throws it on the ground to crush it with his shoe. He looks at his daughter and sees defiance in her. He liked that, it gave her character. He walks past her, leaving her alone with her thoughts and feelings. -Don't fool yourself, Violet," he says, standing a little away from her.

She clenches her fists, feeling naked, someone else digging around inside her, discovering things she didn't even realise existed. She hated feeling it wasn't like her and it was all Dylan's fault.

-That bastard, he's going to pay for everything!

[...]

Dylan ignores her turning around, it was unbelievable, that was the reason why Emma had shown up. Sure, as he saw it before. He smiles as he takes the path to the kitchen, being followed by her. He didn't have to do much research to replace out the reasons why that woman came back... he takes a beer out of the fridge, uncaps it and takes a long drink.

-Are you listening to me?

-Loud and clear...

-So what do you think? Are you coming back?

-No, so you can go back the way you came. The window is open.

-This isn't a game, Dylan. You need to go back.

-Who's going to make me? -You? -He's looking at her provocatively.

-If I have to, yes.

-I'm anxious to know how you're going to do it.

Emma approaches him, swaying her hips, and judging by her expression, Dylan has a glimpse of the woman's intentions. He'd let her play to see how far she was capable of going.

The girl slides a hand down his shoulder and brings her lips lightly to Dylan's, then smiles mischievously as she slides her hand down to his bare chest, leading her hand to just below his belly button and that's when Dylan catches Emma's hand to which she wipes the smile from her mouth.

-Do you think your seducing me is going to change my mind? -He expresses sternly.

-Don't say you don't like my method," she tries to smile.

-No," she answers reluctantly.

Then she releases her grip on him, frowning, and pushes him away. If that method failed her, she would have to use others.

-I'll change your mind, whether you like it or not, you'll come back.

-Sure, I'll be here waiting for you." He takes another sip of his beer, "You'd better go.

-You won't get rid of me that easy.

Dylan watches as Emma storms out of his face, slamming the door, and he clenches his jaw. Then he combs his hair back, trying to think how to get rid of the woman. It was just so hard to understand that he was just a damn teacher. The next day...

Dylan was near the university, at least he was still alive when he left his house. Given the condition he was in he was being chased by the mob boss and harassed by the daughter, and to make matters worse his ex had also come into the picture. It was a nightmare, he still couldn't replace a convincing explanation as to how on earth he could sleep at night.

As soon as he paid for the taxi a few blocks from the university, a huge traffic jam prevented the driver from moving forward. What he did replace strange was that many people were running in the direction of the university, he wondered what the hell was going on now. He made his way to his place of work and the further he went, the greater the hustle and bustle and the greater the crowd of people.

Suddenly before him was the building he worked in, the university was engulfed in flames, while the firemen tried to put out the uncontrollable fire the windows were shattered by certain explosions. Dylan pushed aside the many students who watched in horror at the scene, the professor stood behind the yellow tape.

-First the teacher, and then this... that young woman's family brings nothing but misfortune.

-What family?

-The Morgans," she whispers. "This is their doing, because of the whims of the boss's youngest daughter. And I'm sure they had something to do with the teacher's death.

-How can you know such a thing, you shouldn't say such things, it could get you into a lot of trouble.

-The university will be closed forever, after this, it won't be able to open its doors again.

Dylan looked back at the burning building, he was out of a job. There would be nothing left to save from that fire. Someone was screwing with his patience, in fact he was getting fed up with the situation. His eyes glittered from the glow of the flames, but also from sheer anger.
