Lucas had made it clear to them that if Melody were to be injured again on set, it would be over for the movie. Thus, the crew dared not ignore his warning.

"Who's your sister? Is it the one who's been smearing you online? How can she even call herself your sister after doing that?" Monica was never one to mince words, especially since she considered Melody a friend.

Despite the significant events that had unfolded, Melody had requested that none of them speak online, fearing that she might bring trouble upon them. Even in such difficult circumstances, Melody still thought of her friends.

To Monica, this gesture alone was enough to consider Melody a good friend. However, despite her itching desire to retaliate online, Monica could not do anything to help Melody.

Before Melody could fully react, she comforted Monica first. "Perhaps she does have something important to discuss with me?"

Melody's mindset had changed. The last time she saw Helen, there was still some hope. However, this time, she was determined to meet Wendy, just to clarify things between them. After all, she no longer needed the affection from these people. She had Lucas and her friends. She was no longer the pitiful Melody who used to envy them from a corner.

However, after repeated pleas from the staff, they arranged to meet in the semi-transparent reception room of the film set. There were staff members passing by all the time, so they were not afraid of any harm coming to Melody.

Before Melody entered the room, Shaun asked worriedly, "Do you have to go?"

Melody patted his back, smiling as if they were good buddies, and said, "Don't worry, Mister Shaun. This time, I promise I'll come out unharmed."

Shaun gruffly swatted her hand away. "Hurry up, then," he said.

The more they spent time with Melody, the more they realized that she was not as composed as she appeared on the surface. The closer they got to her, the more they noticed her tendency to crack cold jokes that sent shivers down their spines.

At the same time, Shaun felt relieved to see the change in Melody. The girl who used to always keep her emotions locked away finally decided to open up and communicate with them more.

'Lucas definitely plays a huge role in Melody's transformation,' thought Shaun. Initially, he was worried that Lucas might just be playing around with Melody. Knowing Melody's serious nature, he feared that Melody's emotional investment

might end up hurting her

However, it seemed then he was worrying for nothing. Lucas and Melody were clearly deeply in love with each other.

Wendy could not fathom what had gotten into the people on the set. From the moment she mentioned wanting to see Melody, they kept

gazes. She had gained some fame recently, so why were they serutinizing her as if she were a criminal?

scrutinizing her Wynet

Only after confirming that there was nothing in her bag that could harm Melody did they reluctantly allow her in.

'Oddballs! Even if I'm an ordinary

guest, why would they arrange for me to meet Melody in such an exposed room? And they dare to call it a 'meeting room'? Ha! How laughable can they get? Director Shaun should be embarrassed! Well, I guess it's not such a big thing to star in his movie after all, thought

Wendy with a smug smirk.

It seemed that everything was predestined. Even Melody with all her resources was relegated to a mediocre movie after all.

After exchanging greetings with the nearby staff, Melody sat opposite Wendy.

Despite the lack of sunshine, Wendy wore oversized sunglasses that covered half of her face.
