When Melody and Lucas exited the hospital, they were once again surrounded by all the reporters. Some curious individuals began to press about who was in the hospital and why Melody had come to visit. "Melody, Melody! If it's your family member, why didn't you transfer her to a better hospital? Is it because you're unwilling to spend your money on your own family? There were rumors online that you had severed ties with your family because you had done too many wrong things. Is that true?"

"Melody! Look at this camera over here! Why are you still unwilling to spend money on your family when you're with a man as wealthy as Mister Lucas? Also, can you tell us why you cut ties with your family?" The questions stabbed straight into Melody's heart, making it hard for her to breathe for a moment. 'What did they mean by saying I'm not willing to spend the money I've earned on my family? Why do they keep on asking me these kinds of questions? Haven't I already clarified everything back then?'

Melody's face burned with both pain and embarrassment. She would not have been left speechless by the reporters' questions if it were not for her family situation. She longed to shout out loud in front of these people, to make it clear that it was not her choice to leave, but rather that they had forced her to leave!

In fact, would those reporters have done better if they had grown up in the same environment as her? Otherwise, they should not keep pressing her with questions.

She wanted nothing to do with these people anymore. She just wanted to live her own life peacefully, so why could they not leave her alone? Those rumors had already been clarified, so why did they keep bringing them up and asking repeatedly?

Lucas noticed her tension, and their hands remained tightly clasped together. Her palms were sweaty, showing just how nervous she was.

He pulled her into his arms, extending his arm to shield her from the reporters' cameras. He even pushed away a reporter's microphone.

"We will not be addressing the false rumors that have been clarified before," Lucas said, his usually aloof demeanor giving way to a firm stance for the first time in front of the reporters. The reporters swarmed around them and aimed their microphones at Lucas.

"Mister Lucas, do you know what kind the woman beside you really is? It's been said that she's fallen out with her family. Are you really confident in marrying someone like her?"

"Mister Lucas, Mister Lucas! Can you tell us how you met Melody? Did you meet her before or after she entered the entertainment industry? What are your thoughts on having a partner in the entertainment industry?"

Lucas did not respond to any of the questions, giving the reporter who seemed to be the most persistent a cold, icy glare. The reporter eagerly awaited a response from Lucas, hoping to hear that Melody had pursued him, suggesting that she only got to know Lucas to gain entry into the entertainment industry.

The reporter did not even consider that, as a couple, even if their relationship was not perfect, they would not answer such questions in public. It was downright foolish, showing a lack of common sense. They could not possibly expect to elicit answers to such questions.

"Get lost," Melody snapped, her anger intensifying as she heard the questions from the reporters. She could not understand why everyone was speculating and doubting her and Lucas' motives for being together.
