The Deserted Rich Beauty (Nicole and eric) -
Chapter 2012 How Civilized
Clayton's eyes darkened. He nodded.
Then, he lowered his head, kissed Nicole's forehead, and said in a deep voice, "Do you want to wait for me here?"
Nicole's expression changed a little. She pursed her lips.
"Is it Angie inside?"
Clayton did not deny it, which meant that he acquiesced to her words.
Nicole's expression suddenly became complicated.
She originally had some sympathy for Angie, especially since Angie was infatuated with Eric, Nicole could see her past self in Angie. Angie was so pitiful.
However, Angie did not react like Nicole. Nicole only felt ashamed for the way that Angie hurt others for the sake of her relationship. Especially because Angie kept saying that she would not hurt Nicole, but in the end, Angie's men pushed Nicole into the water anyway. This made Nicole's scalp tingle.
Angie had already gotten what she wanted, and Eric also chose Quinn according to her wishes.
Why did Angie still need to do this?
Nicole was puzzled.
Clayton said softly, "Don't be scared later. We won't kill her, but we'll have to teach her a lesson. Otherwise, she'll think that you're a pushover and will trouble you again."
Nicole looked at Clayton's dark and bottomless eyes. She did not know if it was because of the lighting, but Clayton, who was standing in front of her, gave her a dark and strange feeling. However, he gently stroked her hair and tucked it behind her ear.
His smile did not reach his eyes which were like a cold, black lake.
She pursed her lips, but Clayton stood up without waiting for her response. "Open the door."
The person next to him immediately opened the heavy semi-circular iron door.
The iron door was rusted, so it screeched loudly when it was opened.
Once the door was opened, the smell of blood rushed out,
Nicole only glanced inside once and immediately turned her head away with a pale face. She covered her mouth as she felt nauseous and wanted to vomit.
She suddenly clutched the armrest tightly and wanted to move back.
However, Clayton, who was st?b.;SIS;ing behind her, immediately came to the front to block her view.
"Baby, don't be afraid. It's not her blood. It's fake."
Nicole was stunned. Clayton handed her a handkerchief that smelled like mint.
She covered her nose and frowned at him.
Clayton asked, "Do you still want to see?
Nicole hesitated for half a second, then shook her head.
She did not have such a strong mental capacity.
Forget it.
She tugged at Clayton's clothes, pursed her lips, and said, "It's a human life, after all. Don't be impulsive. Although I hate her, I can understand where she's coming from. She's so deeply in love with Eric that she can't extricate herself. In the end, she's a pitiful woman. You can vent your anger, but don't kill her."
Clayton looked at Nicole quietly for a few seconds and smiled.
"My wife is really kind-hearted. Even if I give you a handful of salt now, you won't be able to sprinkle it on her wound, will you?' Nicole sighed quietly.
"If I die, I won't care what you do. But I'm not dead yet, so I can't let you take revenge on her because of a near-miss situation. Otherwise, how are we different from her?"
The room was quiet for a few seconds.
Clayton squeezed her hand, and he relaxed in an instant.
There seemed to be a light in his eyes. He stood up and beckoned to the captain.
"Then wait out here for a while. I'll ask her a few questions and hand her over to the police in Southeast Asia?"
Nicole nodded.
Clayton was truly obedient.
The captain immediately stepped forward and pushed Nicole further away.
They were underground, so there was no sunlight. The lights here were also very dim, so there were some dark spots.
The captain smiled. "Madam, are you feeling better? Mr. Sloan was so worried about you that he couldn't eat or sleep for several days. He has been blaming himself for leaving you alone. Fortunately, it's all over now."
Nicole's heart trembled.
This was the first time Nicole heard about what happened from someone other than Clayton.
"Is Samuel Lindstrom back in Mediania?"
The captain paused.
He smiled. "Madam, you might not be aware of this, but Tyler put a tracker inside Samuel's body, and Angie followed Samuel to get on the ship. That's how she was able to replace us so accurately and take you away."
Nicole paused and frowned.
"So what?"
Samuel was also a victim. Did he get implicated by her?
The captain paused. "Samuel knew about this, but he didn't say anything the entire time."
Nicole was silent for a while.
Her heart was cold.
Knowing this made her a little uncomfortable.
After all, they only came here to save him.
The captain said, "But Mr. Sloan is nice enough to let him go, saying that Samuel only hid this from us because he was scared. Moreover, Samuel is also from Mediania, and his parents begged your father to save him, so Mr. Sloan had to show your father some respect."
Nicole's eyelids twitched.
The captain was talking so much, but how did it end?
The captain slowly continued, "So, we found a small boat and let Samuel leave by himself. His documents are incomplete, so he won't be able to get on a big ship, and smuggling is risky. Whether he can return home smoothly depends on his luck."
Heh...
Nicole felt a little sympathy for that unlucky b*stard.
Samuel had to sail back to Mediania in a small boat by himself. It would be good if he could meet a navy ship, but if he encountered pirates, it would be unimaginable.
However, he inflicted this on himself.
If Samuel had not deliberately concealed the tracker, Nicole would not have been taken away.
Nicole's heart was very complicated.
When she was in deep thought, Angie's cry came from inside.
"Clayton, it's my fault! I know my mistake. Please give me a chance..."
Nicole frowned slightly.
Angie was always arrogant. Nicole had never seen Angie beg for mercy so humbly before.
The captain was afraid that Nicole would be frightened and explained, "Don't worry. Mr. Sloan has already instructed us to be gentlemen. We didn't hit, scold, or insult her. We're all civilized people after all." Nicole gave him a strange look. The corners of her mouth twitched.
"How civilized?"
She could not recall that gory scene just now and the bloody smell that made her stomach churn.
The captain paused. "Didn't you say that Angie has a Tibetan mastiff that's very scary?"
Nicole paused and was surprised.
She had only casually complained to Clayton about it.
Nicole then understood what happened.
The blood in the room was not Angie's.
"We just locked up her dog and didn't do anything to it. We used a little pig's blood to create that gory scene just to scare her."
The captain was afraid that this would scare Nicole, so he did not continue to explain.
After all, Nicole was Clayton's precious wife, and they could not afford any consequences.
The captain decided to give Nicole a good impression.
Inside the dark room on the other side of the iron door, Clayton seemed to have turned into a different person. He was exuding a strong chill.
He looked at the shivering person who was curled up in the corner.
The huge black beast was lying on the ground, panting, and staring at him.
They did not beat, scold, or humiliate Angie.
They only used this kind of mental torture to scare her so that she could not sleep.
Angie's face was pale. Her eyes wandered around, and she felt like she was on the verge of breaking down.
However, this was still not enough to break her.
Angie grew up in this kind of environment, so she was immune to some extent.
Thus, this torture was nothing to her.
