The Deserted Rich Beauty (Nicole and eric) -
Chapter 2013 Wait For One More Minute
Clayton's tone was cold, and his eyes were gloomy.
"You still don't want to admit it, huh?
Actually, it doesn't matter whether you admit it or not. I'll still hold you accountable since Nicole was hurt in your hands."
Angie covered her face and cried miserably. She was vulnerable and wretched.
"It wasn't me! It really wasn't me! Let me go!"
Clayton sneered coldly.
"Let you go? How can I give you such a bargain? Unless... You tell me why you wanted to push Nicole into the sea. Is it because of your feelings for Eric? Nah... If it was because of him, you wouldn't have left Mediania so easily when Caleb was arrested back then. So, what's the real reason?"
His voice was light, but a little playful.
It was as if he had already expected the answer and just wanted to play a game with her.
If she did not tell him the truth, she would be tortured here forever.
In two months, Angie would be dead.
"Eric already left, and he didn't even ask about you. I can't touch him, but I can certainly do whatever I want with you!"
Clayton's tone was extremely cold, and his eyes were gloomy.
"Your son will be with him soon. Well, what a coincidence. I'm also going back to
Mediania soon."
Angie's body stiffened, and she looked up at him abruptly.
Her face became extremely glum.
She hung on, thinking that someone would come to her rescue, but to no avail.
Eric left without even asking about her.
He was probably hoping for Angie to quietly die here, right?
That way, no one would bother him anymore.
Angie's tears fell uncontrollably.
Her whole body was trembling. Angie, who was invincible, finally had a weakness.
"Please don't harm my son..."
Clayton laughed lightly. "I never implicate innocent people, and I don't care if your son belongs to Eric because he doesn't care about your son at all. If I bully your son, perhaps Eric will be applauding on the sidelines. I won't help Eric solve his troubles. But that doesn't mean that I won't act on an impulse one day... So, I'll ask you one last time. Why did you push Nicole into the sea?!"
Angie's shoulders shuddered violently.
There was silence for a few seconds.
Then, she gritted her teeth =f)=YNQ: said," It was me. I instructed my men to do it."
Angie thought that Clayton could not do anything to her if she did not admit it.
At least, she would be able to survive.
However, what mattered now was not her survival.
Clayton was never one to negotiate.
He would not give up until he achieved what he wanted.
Angie could handle it, but the child would not be able to.
If she lost her child, how could she still return to Eric's side?
Clayton's sharp eyes glowed as he looked at her coldly without a trace of warmth.
It was very oppressive.
"Continue."
He spat out this word coldly, obviously dissatisfied with her simple and superficial admission of guilt.
His purpose was not for Angie to admit to a fact that he already knew.
Angie took a deep breath. Her voice trembled uncontrollably.
"I know that Eric isn't true to my brother. He always thinks that we're from different worlds and looks down on people like us who dabble in shady business. If Nicole dies, you'll completely go berserk on Eric, and he'll have no choice but to rely on us to fight against you. By then, he won't be able to leave me. I want to make him become someone like me so that he has no reason to dislike me anymore." Angie's voice became lower. She lay on the ground and shivered.
She was always looking up to that man who was unmoving like a mountain.
However, that man did not even bother to look at her.
Thus, she had no choice but to drag him into the mud and join her in her lowly and vile business.
Clayton looked at Angie quietly with a bit of scorn and disdain in his dark eyes.
"I'm sure there's more than that. You know that I'll get rid of your brother in a rage. By then, you'll take over your brother's power and still be able to be with Eric. That's killing two birds with one stone, right?" Angie's body shook fiercely. She felt a chill down her spine.
She bit her lower lip and slowly raised her head.
Clayton, who stood in front of her, looked like a handsome gentleman without a hint of killing intent.
His appearance was completely different from his heart.
How could he read people's minds so easily?
Clayton already guessed whatever she did not tell him.
She could not hide anything from him.
Clayton's contemptuous eyes glared at Angie.
Angie lowered her head, and her body was tense.
"Clayton, I was wrong... I shouldn't have targeted Nicole."
Clayton hooked his lips as if he did not hear Angie begging for mercy. His tone was cold as he said, "It's useless to apologize for your mistakes. You should've expected the consequences long ago by playing tricks right under my nose."
His indifferent gaze terrified Angie.
She could not describe Clayton's
viciousness. There were plenty of people doing the killing for this well-dressed man.
In the next second, Angie was worried and frightened.
Suddenly, there was a bout of strong wind. Before she could even react, she was pushed to the ground. Her neck was strangled, and she could not move.
Angie widened her eyes, and her face suddenly turned blue.
Her feet were struggling.
The man in front of her was like the god of hell. He looked stubborn and cold. His violent eyes were terrifying.
Angie slowly felt a sense of powerlessness like she was on the verge of death. It was as if every trace of vitality was taken away from her.
Her struggles were getting weaker because the hand on her neck was exerting more force.
Angie did not know why Clayton's expression was so fickle and ruthless.
Was it because of Nicole?
Angie felt like a piece of garbage that would be chucked aside in this dark room to die at any moment.
It was too easy for Clayton to make her disappear.
Darkness crossed her eyes, and her struggles were futile. She could only hold onto the hand around her neck.
All she felt was panic, confusion, and fear.
Her thoughts were slowly crushed in this stinky and dark room.
Clayton said that he would not kill her, just like how Angie cheated Nicole that she would not kill her.
It was all an act.
Just before Angie lost consciousness, the captain knocked on the door outside.
"Mr. Sloan, Madam said that she can't breathe properly in here and wants to go upstairs to rest. She asked if you're done with your business?"
Nicole's words brought Clayton back to his senses.
He abruptly let go of Angie's neck and slowly took out a tissue to wipe his fingers as if he just touched something dirty.
The veins on Angie's forehead were bulging out, and she panted to catch her breath.
She felt like a puddle of mud that was revived.
Clayton's voice was terrifyingly gentle as he said, "I'm coming. Tell her to wait patiently for another minute."
He looked at his watch, and he looked at Angie coldly.
"You're worthless to me, so why don't you just end your own life?"
Angie's face paled in horror.
She could not care less about her physical discomfort and hurriedly said, "Don't kill me, Mr. Sloan! I can help you a lot. I'm different from my brother. If you let me stay, I can take over my brother's power and give it to you."
