The sky was a somber gray, reflecting the weight of grief that hung over the small cemetery. It seemed as if even the heavens were mourning the loss of Lyric, casting a muted, mournful light over the gathered crowd. The air was thick with sorrow, a palpable entity that pressed down on the hearts of all present.
Lyrics' casket, adorned with delicate white lilies and roses, stood at the center of the gathering. Her siblings, Lucas, Lucky, and Lotus, stood closest to it, their faces etched with an agony that words could scarcely describe. Each was lost in their own memories of Lyric, each grappling with the reality that she was truly gone.
Lucas, the eldest, stepped forward first. His normally strong and assured demeanor was replaced with a vulnerability that made him appear almost childlike. "Lyrics," he began, his voice cracking, "you were more than a sister to me. You were my confidante, my friend, my inspiration. Your laughter could light up a room, and your kindness knew no bounds. The world is darker without you, and my heart is heavy knowing I'll never hear your voice again. Why couldn't you wait for me to come back? Why did you have to first than your shadow? But I still question God, not like as if he exits to me but he does to you" He paused, fighting back tears, then placed a single white rose on the casket. "Rest in peace, sis." Lucky, always the joker, the one who could make anyone laugh, was next. Today, her face bore no trace of the mischief she was known for. Her hands trembled as she clutched a small bouquet of violets, Lyrics' favorite. "Lyrics, you were my partner in crime," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "No one understood me the way you did. We had so many plans, so many dreams. It's not fair that you're gone. I promise to live my life in a way that would make you proud." She laid the violets gently on the casket, tears streaming down her face.
Lotus, the youngest, was too overcome to speak at first. She stood there, her slender frame shaking with silent sobs. Finally, she found her voice, though it was barely above a whisper. "Lyrics, you were my hero," she said. "You always looked out for me, always knew what to say to make everything better. I don't know how to go on without you." She placed a daisy on the casket, her tears mingling with the flowers.
Smith, approached the casket with a heaviness that seemed to age him in those few steps. His relationship with Lyrics had been fraught with complications, misunderstandings, and unspoken words. He looked down at the casket, his face a mask of sorrow and regret. "Lyrics, my lovely daughter," he began, his voice raw with pain. "I wish... I wish I had told you more often how much I loved you. I wish I had shown you how proud I was of you. I hope you knew, despite everything, that you were my world." His words struck Scarlet like a physical blow. She glared at him, her eyes blazing with anger and hatred. How dare he speak of love and pride now, when it was too late? How can he still pretend to love them when he killed her family members? Maybe...... Just maybe.... If her parents and elder sister was alive then she wouldn't have left like that but this bastard is here trying to act like a perfect father but he will soon met his tragic end in her hands. Scarlet stepped forward next, her movements stiff and mechanical, as if she were on autopilot. She could feel the anger bubbling inside her, threatening to spill over. "Lyrics," she began, her voice shaking with emotion, "you were my everything. My sister, my soulmate, my better half. We shared everything, not every secret but some, not every dream but some. I don't know how to live in a world without you." She took a deep breath, struggling to hold back her tears. "I promise I'll keep your memory alive. I'll make sure the world knows how amazing you were." She placed a red rose on the casket, a symbol of her love and loss.. As she did that she glared at Smith one last time before stepping back. The memories of Lyric flooded her memory. Lyric never saw her as a boss, but as a sister. Despite the fact that she keeps a stoney face to make an impression, but Lyric always has a way to make things easier and happier for her. Lyric is the only person who detects her anger and happy mood, she will do anything just to see her smile despite that she knows that Scarlet never smiles.
As Scarlet stepped back, Bingo approached. The tension in the air was palpable as he walked towards the casket, his face a mixture of sorrow and guilt. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice barely audible. "I'm so sorry for what my brother did. He... he was wrong, and I know nothing I say can make it better, but please know that I am truly sorry." He placed a single white lily on the casket, his eyes pleading for forgiveness. Despite their grief, Lucas, Lucky, and Lotus nodded, accepting his apology. They knew that Bingo was not to blame for his brother's actions, and in that moment, forgiveness was a small comfort.
The silence that followed was broken only by the sound of muffled sobs. Scar, Piper, and Rachel stood together, their faces wet with tears. They had been Lyrics' closest friends, her chosen family. Each was too overcome with emotion to speak, their grief too deep for words. They stood in solidarity, their silent presence a testament to the bond they shared with Lyrics.
As the minister began to recite the final prayers, the mourners joined hands, forming a circle of love and support around the casket. Scarlet, her anger momentarily subdued by the collective sorrow, felt a sense of unity among the group. Despite the loss, they were all connected by their love for Lyrics, and in that connection, there was a small measure of comfort.
The time had come to lower the casket into the ground. Scarlet watched, her heart breaking anew with each inch that the casket descended. It felt as if she were losing Lyrics all over again, the finality of it crushing her spirit. She took a deep breath, her eyes never leaving the casket. "Goodbye, my baby heart" she whispered. "I'll carry you with me, always."
The earth was slowly shoveled over the casket, the soft thud of dirt a stark contrast to the silent tears that fell. One by one, the mourners stepped forward, dropping flowers into the grave, their final tokens of love and remembrance. As the last flower was laid to rest, a gentle breeze swept through the cemetery, carrying with it the scent of roses and lilies. It was as if the very essence of Lyrics' spirit was being carried away, her presence lingering in the hearts of all who loved her.
The crowd began to disperse, each person carrying their grief in their own way. Lucas, Lucky, and Lotus stood together, drawing strength from one another. Smith lingered a moment longer, his eyes filled with regret and sorrow. Scarlet, her heart heavy but her resolve strong, stood at the edge of the grave, silently vowing to honor Lyrics' memory.
The sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the cemetery. As the first stars appeared in the twilight sky, they seemed to twinkle a little brighter, as if welcoming a new soul into the heavens. Lyrics was gone, but her spirit would live on in the hearts of those who loved her, a beacon of light in their darkest moments.
And so, with hearts full of sorrow but also of love, they left the cemetery, carrying with them the memory of Lyrics - a bright, shining star whose light would never truly fade.
This is one of the most emotional and heartbreaking scene I have ever written, hope it's good but I feel sad at their loss.
