As we go to walk out the front door, my dad stops me and ushers the others outside. “We will be right there; I just need to talk with Ash a moment.” He says to the others. They nod their head in understanding, and walk out the door.

“So we need to do something. Rose is not Queen yet; you have not marked her. And we now have two she-wolves in the dungeons for attacking her. We need to let the kingdom know that you have found your true mate. We do not need to tell them all of it on who she is, but we need to let them know that she is the future Queen and will be respected.” My dad says to me.

“Yes, I know. I was going make an announcement tonight, to let everyone know that I had found my true mate. And the Ball is now a celebration and not a search for her. I cant mark her yet. We are taking it slow; she has had a lot of information thrown at her recently. I don’t want to give her too much at once.” I say to him.

“Okay, that sounds good. Hopefully making everyone aware of who she is. We can keep all the she-wolves at bay. And will keep everyone from asking too many questions. I do not want to tell everyone about her history though, I believe that will put her in danger. I think that we need to replace more answers. And we need to get her trained. I know that her wolf should be fully present in the next few days. You will need to be with her as much as possible, I will have your job responsibilities taken care of for you. She will need a few days to handle the change, and she may gain more abilities after her transformation. She will need you to keep calm.” He explains to me.

I nod to him. “Thank you. I know that you and mom planned the Ball for a whole nother purpose. But it seems the moon goddess had other plans for us all. I am so thankful that I have you and mom here to help and support us through all of the changes that are taking place.” I say to him.

He smiles at me. “The purpose of the ball was for you to replace a mate. You did that before the ball, we didn’t know if you would take a chosen mate or replace your true mate. We just want you to be happy, and have your queen at your side.” He says.

“I am thankful that I was able to replace my true mate. Do we know what is going to happen to her parents yet?” I ask him.

“They have decided to stay in the palace. They want to be here close to Rose. They may not have birthed her, but they raised her, and will do anything to protect her. And Alpha Jake is going to be coming up for visits more often, he is also looking into the past for any answers that we can get. He is invested in her and her future and wants to help, but he also has to be present in his pack to survive.” He tells me.

“Okay, well lets go see what we can help with before we have to go get cleaned up. You know how mom will act if we are both late.” I say and head to the door.

“She would not be happy with us. Specially with all the work she has put into making sure Rose gets a celebration of her own.” He says following me out the door.

As we walk out, I can hear some yelling going on. So I head into the direction of the yelling. As I get closer I see that Alpha Jake is talking to someone, trying to calm him down. The other guy is yelling at the guard who is just standing there.

“What seems to be the problem over here?” My dad says, letting his aura slip out a little. Just enough to get the attention of anyone close by, they all turn to look at us. “I asked a question,” he tells them.

“I’m sorry my king, this is John, my son.” Alpha Jake says while bowing down. “He is upset that he is not allowed into the place and that he is unable to make contact with his girlfriend.” He further explains.

“Welcome John. I am sorry, but none of the unmated males from the visiting packs are allowed into the castle. This is where the unmated females are staying and for their safety, I can not allow you in.” My dad explains.

“Well that is fine. But why can I not link my girlfriend who is staying with in the castle. She hasn’t contacted me in a few hours and I can not feel for her mindlink.” John explains.

“I am sorry about that. What is your girlfriends name? Maybe I can help you get into touch with her.” My father suggests. “Ashlee.” He says.

Before I can stop myself, I growl out. I keep from lounging at him. My father is watching me as well as Alpha Jake.

“So the she-wolf that attacked the future queen is your girlfriend?” My father questions him.

“She would never attack the future queen, must be a different Ashlee.” John says with a shrug.

“How dare you to not show any respect for your King! And yes your Ashlee, she attacked the future queen in front of all of us.” Alpha Jake explains.

“ I mean no disrespect. I am just really frustrated with trying to reach her.” John explains to us, giving my father a small bow.

“Well as your Ashlee attacked the future queen, she is in the dungeon. They are coated in wolfsbane, to prevent shifting and mind linking. So that is why you can not get into contact with her.” I say to him through gritted teeth.

“Well, may I know who the future queen is. I am surprised that she would attack her for no reason.” John says.

“Rose.” Alpha Jake says.
