Chapter 50

(Ash)

“There is no way that Rose who has no wolf is the mate to the future King.” John yells. I let out a low growl. He jumps back, but before he can get to far away the guards have stepped up behind him and are keeping him in place.

“You will watch the way that you talk about Rose. I am sick of seeing the way you and your pack members have treated her over the last few years. She deserved so much better than what you guys put her through. And you should not speak things of others that you do not know.” I say to him.

“I know that she has no wolf!” He yells at me.

“You think you know what she has. You know nothing about her. None of you do, as you pushed her away and bullied her.” I growl out to him. I go to step closer to him, but my father stops me.

“You need to keep a level head. And remember that everyone here is watching you as the future king. You don’t want to make a bad impression before you even get the crown.” He says to me.

I take a deep breath and try to relax. He is right, I need to keep a level head. I need to be sure that I keep the peace within the packs, and that I make all the decisions based on facts and not my emotions.

“I think that you should head back to the cabin that we provided you until the festivities start. I am sure you will get more answers at the meeting this evening.” I say to John, my dad nods at me.

“I think that is a great idea.” Alpha Jake says to me. “Fine, but after the meeting I would like to see Ashlee.” John says to my father.

“I think you can see her after the future queen has decided on her punishment. Before then she is to have no visitors at all.” My dad tells him. I cant help but smile.

John tries to say something, but is cut off as one of the guards starts to usher him to his cabin. I look at my dad to see that he is in a mind link. “If he tries to go near the cells, he is to be placed in one as well.” I say to the guard, he nods back at me in understanding.

They walk away, I watch them as they go to be sure that John doesn’t cause a problem. Once they are far enough away, I turn and look at Alpha Jake. He is also watching them as they go, he must of felt me watching him; because he turns and looks at me.

“I am sorry about that. I was going to talk to him and explain things to him, but when I came out he was already yelling at the guard.” Alpha Jake explains to me. I nod in understanding.

“So he now knows that she is the future Queen, he also knows that you are very protective of her. We need to be sure we keep an eye on him.” My father says to me. Alpha Jake and I both nod our heads in agreement.

“Is everyone in your pack that hot headed? Him nor Ashlee seem to think before they speak, and they act on emotions first.” I ask Alpha Jake. My father chuckles. “That is just young wolves that don’t have their emotions in check. You are the same way.” He says.

I look around and see that there is a truck of flowers that still need to be unloaded. “Why don’t we go get the last truck unloaded and finish setting up. We don’t have much more time, before we need to head in and get ready.” I say to them. They nod, and we all make our way to the truck.

We start unloading it. The time goes by fast, before we have realized it everything is done. The yard around us looks am

azing. I think my mom will be impressed with how fast her vision came together. I just hope Rose likes it.

I check the time. We have 45 min until the girls are supposed to meet us by the front door. I tap my dad on the shoulder, “Hey we got to get inside and get ready, or the girls will have our heads.” I say. Dad laughs and gets Alpha Jakes attention.

We all head into the castle. Dad shakes his head with a smile on his face.

“The girls are all in the Queen suite. Mary says that she has placed all of our clothing in the bathrooms attached to our rooms. She said that we better not be late.” He finishes telling us.

“Okay then, we better hurry.” Alpha Jake says with a laugh.

We all head up the stairs and into our rooms. I laugh as I see my suit hung up in the bathroom. My tie matches the color of the dress that I had picked out for Rose. I knew that she would look great in it the moment I saw it, I can not wait to see how she looks in it.

I start the shower and strip down. I step in and wash my body, head to toe. I think about the speech that I will be making tonight; I want to provide enough information about Rose to the packs, but I do not want to give away to much information.

I finish my shower and step out. I dry off and get dressed. As I am finishing my tie I hear a knock on my door.

“Who is it?” I ask, but I get no answer.
