Chapter 52

(Ash)

“Who is it?” I ask again, but get no answer. I go to yank the door open, but before I can I catch the best scent in the world. Rose. She is at my door. I smile to myself.

I grab the handle and open the door. And I freeze. She is looking at me with big eyes, she seems just as surprised as I am.

“You look amazing.” I say to her, reaching for her hand. She blushes and I grin. “You look great too.” She says. I grin at her.

I pull her into the room.

“ I just have to get my shoes on and then I am ready.” I say to her walking into the closet to grab my shoes. I step out and sit on the edge of the bed to put them on. I watch Rose as I put them on.

She is so beautiful; I don’t think she even realizes it. She walks around the room stopping to look out the window. The dress I picked looks great on her. I pick my phone up and silently snap a picture of her.

I smile as I put my phone away. She turns and smiles at me and walks over to me. I notice her eyes are more green then normal and I shake my head.

“Lilly, nice to see you.” I say to her. “You look amazing, and hello” She says with a smile. She stops in front of me, she is standing between my legs.

And she wraps her arms around my neck and leans down and gives me a k**s. Aspen is pushing to come forward. But I know if he does we will lose control, and I don’t want to do that so I push her back.

“As nice as this is, we will have time for you and Aspen later on. But right now I need Rose back. We have plans and if we are late my mother may kill us both.” I say to her.

“As you wish my King,” She says and closes her eyes. When they open again I know Rose is present and I can tell she is talking to Lilly.

Her face flushes when she sees me watching her. “Sorry about that, I couldn’t hold her back.” She says while stepping out from between my legs. I smile at her.

“I didn’t mind, but we have other things we need to do tonight.” I say to her while standing up. I lean down and k**s her cheek. She smiles at me and reaches for my hand.

We head to the door, but I stop to look at her. “ I need to talk to you really quick before we go down.” I say to her, she nods at me.

“My dad wants me to let the kingdom know that I have found my mate, and that you are the future queen. He thinks that it is the only way to make the she wolves to stop threatening you. We can’t keep putting them in the dungeon.” I tell her.

She looks to me and smiles. “Well the two that are down there are coming up tonight. And I think we need to tell the kingdom that you found your true mate. And I think we should let all the visiting alphas know the truth of who I am. They may have answers for us.” She says to me.

“What do you mean that they are coming up tonight? I dint know that and I don’t think my dad did either.” I say to her.

“That is something you will have to wait and see. But I have taken care of all of the preparation for it.” She tells me with a smile.

“Okay then. So Dad will give his speech and then I will give mine. Then you can do what ever it is you have planned.” I say to her, but she shakes her head no at me.

“That wont work. I need to do my speech first.” She tells me. I look at her confused. She is acting strange. “Okay then, I guess you go first. I will let my dad know through the link.” I say to her. She nods at me.

“Hey Dad, so Rose has a speech that she wants to give first. It has to do with the two she wolves in the dungeon.” I say to him through the link.

“Okay, I am assuming she knows what she is doing. Are you on your way down your mom is getting restless waiting for you two.” He says to me.

“Ya we are heading out of my room now.” I tell him and cut the link.

“ He said that is fine. So let’s head down and get started. My mom is getting restless waiting on us.” I tell her.

“Lets go,” she says with a smile on her face.

As we walk down the stairs, the people around us bow their heads in respect to us. And I watch Rose as she holds her head high. She looks like the true queen that she is.

We get to the bottom of the steps and their are some pups running around, they run into Rose and fall on to their bottoms. She laughs as she helps them up, making sure they are okay. She smiles as the run off to play. She looks at me and smiles, she reaches her hand out for me.

“Lets go get this over with so that we can have some fun tonight.” She says with a smile. puling me towards the door.

I smile to myself; I am so lucky to have her by myside.

We walk out the door and I stop in my tracks.

I can not believe what I am seeing.
