The Fall Ball
Chapter 53

(Rose)

We walk out and the stage is set up for the king and the speech he has to make. Ash walks up to the stage, but I stop and go and sit next to my parents and the Alpha and Luna of my pack.

It seems that we are all sitting in groups, the Alphas and their head pack members are in the front row and the rest of the pack members are sitting in the rows behind them.

We sit in silence while watching the King and Ash talk to one another. Ash steps off the stage and goes and sits down with his mom. We sit and wait as the king walks to the front of the stage.

“So I had planned to start tonight with a quick announcement, but plans have changed and we are all in for a surprise. I don’t even know what she has planned. But let’s have Rose come to the stage.” He says while looking at me.

I stand up and watch as everyone turns to look at me. I don’t look at them though. I just keep my head held high, and walk to the stage. When I get to the stairs leading to the stage, Ash stands up and offers his hand to me. He helps me up the stairs, he leans down and whispers into my ear.

“Are you okay? Do you want me stay with you or do you want me to go sit back down?” He asks me. “You can walk with me. That is fine. Just be sure to stand and watch. I do not need you to interfere for any reason at all.” I tell him with a smile as we get to the top step. He nods and we walk up to his father.

The king shakes my hand and nods to Ash. He walks off the stage and sits down next to the Queen. He nods to me to begin.

I look to Ash, who nods to me and squeezes my hand to encourage me to start. I let out a few shaky breaths. I looked out at the crowd and lock eyes with my parents. The nod to encourage me.

Speaking in front of people has never been something I was good at. Crowds have always given me anxiety. So I am hoping not to make a fool of myself.

I clear my throat.

“So to start. I am Rose, from Opal moon pack.” I say with a smile, nodding at Alpha Jake. “I came here a few days early for the festivities due to the abuse I was receiving from some of my other pack members. So my Alpha thought I would be safest here with him.” I say.

Then I nod to Raymond who is standing at the back of the crows. He nods back to me and starts to walk towards the stage. Behind him he has a person in shackles. I smile to myself while the crowd gasps.

“This is Ashlee, she is also from Opal moon pack. She’s the main cause of the abuse that I received. She feels that she is entitled to have a say with in the pack, just because she is dating the future Alpha of our pack.”

Raymond stops in front of the stage and turns to face the crowd, while still holding Ashlee. “Ashlee, go ahead and kneel for me while I finish what I have to say.” She lets out a growl. “I suggest you do not do that. You want to hear what I have to say.” I tell her. Raymond forces her to her knees. I smile at him.

“So once I got here, I went shopping with the Queen, and I ran into a member of the Kingdom here.” I say looking at the back of the crowd, where I see Levi standing with the shackles in his hand. I nod to him and he walks and stands next to Raymond.

“And this here is Abby. She decided to threaten me while I was shopping at the mall with the Queen. She stated that I needed to learn to respect her and learn my place as she was dating Ash.” I say to the crowd.

“Abby, please kneel like Ashlee here.” I say to her and she does as she was asked. I smile.

“So these two seem to think that I have no wolf, and that I have no mate. So they feel that I am nothing and I do not belong in a pack.” I say and I hear a few gasps in the crowd.

“However, they are extremely wrong. I found my true mate, Ash, here. And so the ball that was in hopes he will replace his mate, is now a ball to celebrate replace his mate.” I say and the crowd erupts into cheers and clapping. I blush while looking to Ash. He is smiling down at me and k****s my head.

“And as for the wolf, I do have one. My Alpha and the King will agree that they can sense her, but for some reason she is suppressed. We do not know why, but hope she comes forward soon.” I tell them all. Just enough information to answer questions, without giving out too much information.

“As for these two, they do not know how to treat others. And have no respect towards the higher-ranking members of their packs. So I am declaring them both rogues. They are no longer apart of any pack or kingdom and can not be brought back in. They will be escorted to rogue territory. If they step foot back on to the kingdom’s property. They will be killed on sight by the vampires that I have guarding me.” I say.

There are gasps from all around me.

“You cant do that!! You have no authority over anyone, you are nothing.” Ashlee yells.

I smile at her.

“I am more then you could ever dream of being.” I say while letting Lilly come forward a little.
