The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 78

“Amy, place them in the Alpha office and have them wait there. Tell them we will be with them as soon as we can.” Zander linked back, as he rolled his eyes, wondering what else could go wrong.

“Alpha’s, we are going to take a break, we all have a lot to ponder after the recent revelations. However, I propose that we continue with the games, and go ahead and start the Alpha fights in one hour.” Zander proclaimed, then took hold of Chloe’s hand.

“I agree, let us all reconvene in one hour and finish off these games in style.” Peter shouted, backing up his king.

As Zander walked up to the pack house, Chloe looked at his concerned face. She was pleased that Faith and Luke had returned, but as for the rest of the problems, she had no clue what they were going to do next. All she knew was that they needed to give those starving omegas they had come across a chance to live in a pack where they would be respected and cared for. Before they did that, they could not wage a war, as the wolves they wanted to set free would be the very ones who would pay the price if they moved too quickly. They were the disposable ones to the Alphas they wanted to remove from power, and therefore they would send the omegas to do their dirty work for them first, of that Chloe was certain. .

“Chloe, we need to go to my office, your parents have turned up.” Zander g*****d, their timing could not have been worse.

“s**t, what? Why the hell are they here? I am not due to see them for two more months after Christmas.” Chloe shook her head, as much as she had missed them, and wanted to see them. The timing was all wrong, and something inside her gut was telling her to be careful, something was off about the whole thing.

Zander opened the door of the Alpha office to see Chloe’s parents sitting on the long sofa. Taking a deep breath, he closed the door behind Chloe and walked to his desk, as Chloe went to hug her mother and father.

“Mam, Dad, what are you both doing here?” Chloe asked, for all the timing was off, she had to admit it felt good to see them again.

“We had no choice, Chloe,” Diane Hancock sighed.

“Mr and Mrs Hancock, please take a seat, and explain,” Zander ordered.

Chloe walked to her mate, and sat on his lap, allowing his scent to calm her. It had been a stressful morning, and now her parents were sitting telling her they had no choice but to visit.

“The girl and her mother, your brother’s mate, well, her father has returned to the UK. We found out only a couple of days ago. An employee of your company took pity on him one day and took him to live with his family. The family gave Mr Davis money to return to the UK to claim back his wife and child.” Diane told them.

“Okay, but you could have told us that on a call, why travel all this way?”Chloe asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Because we found out that he has presented himself to the police, and is claiming that Zander has kidnaped his wife and daughter.That the academy is a cult, and his daughter was forced into a cult version of a marriage to your brother. From what we can gather, the police are taking the accusations seriously, and are sending people to the Academy to check out what is going on.” Mr Hancock stated.

“We did not want to discuss this with you over the phone, just in case, but we also needed to tell you, because, if what we were told by Hans, who helped Davis, is true, you both need to be careful, because the human police are watching you.” Diane stated.

Zander blew out a breath, it was not the worst news, but also not the best.

“Okay, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Some of the allied packs have wolves on the human police force in the area, and would feed back information if they were coming into the territory, or the school. But we had not been given any information that the local police department were investigating, which could only mean one of three things.” Zander began.

Chloe looked at her mate, and took another deep breath of his scent, hoping to calm her nerves.

” Let me guess,” she stated.

“One, there is no investigation, two, there is an investigation but not by the local force, three, the allies we have in the police are working for Amanda.” Chloe stated, shaking her head slightly, and rolling her lips together in annoyance.

“This is why we have come, Chloe, so that we can help. I know you must have a lot on your plate right now, so we thought if we came here and told the police that you were not a part of anything illegal, and that we witnessed Mr Davis abuse his daughter, it might help.” Diane stated.

“Thanks mam, yes that would help, but not if it is the third option, that our enemy is controlling the human police. Zander, we need to tell Nicki and Cheryl he is back.”

“Agreed, Josh and Nicki need to be informed, also we need to replace out if Andrew is Cheryl’s mate because she is going to need his protection more than ever now, and I do not want her living in the cottage on her own if that psycho is back.” Zander sighed.

“Zander, we have less than twenty minutes before the Alpha games begin, and Nicki is wound up enough about Josh taking part, we should tell them after the fights are over.” Chloe sighed, she did not want to upset Nicki any more at the moment, worried about her friend and her pregnancy.

“I will station Terrance outside the hospital to keep an eye on Cheryl. You sit with Nicki during the games. I know she should be sitting in her own pack stand, but I would prefer it if you were watching over her.” Zander sighed.

“What about Chloe, who is going to take care of her!” Diane asked, shocked that Zander would not have a guard watching over her.

“Jackson will be with me, Mam. He is the gamma. It is his job to look after the Luna.” Chloe smiled, reassuring her mother.

“Plus, your daughter is the strongest wolf, anywhere, even stronger than me, so good luck to Nicki’s poor excuse for a father if he tried to go near her on my mates watch.” Zander chuckled, placing a k**s on the side of Chloe’s head.

“So Mam, Dad, do you want to watch the werewolf version of the Olympics? It is the Alpha fights, I must warn you, they get bloody, think UFC with the competitors turning into wolves every now and then.” Chloe chuckled.

Josh stood in the Silverback Pack tent. It was the semi-final round of the fight, and he was facing Alpha Liam of the Northumberland pack, this round. It would be a close fight, and he just hoped Nicki would not stress out too much. Although the fight would be bloody and vicious, it was a friendly match, just as Zanders would be against Alpha Harry of the Wearside pack. Gavin and Kris stood beside him, as Ethan hoovered between the two pack tents of Silverback and The Cresecent moon. Thankfully, Beta Robert of the Wearside pack, had said he would watch over both matches as well. As he looked out into the stands he saw his beautiful mate. She had been clapping and cheering for him, but he could feel her anxiousness through the bond, although when Delphine arrived with Issac and a nice new mark on her neck, that seemed to distract his mate and keep her calmer. Delphine and Issac deserved a mating moon, but if he was honest, he was unsure if they could afford them to leave the area at the moment, but ultimately it was Zander’s decision.

Daryl the MC, announced the fighters. As Josh took to the field, the whole arena erupted with applause and shouts of encouragement. A new Mexican wave began as the ref’s explained the rules. Because it was an Alpha fight, there was no tapping out allowed, the only way to win was to knock your opponent unconscious.

The Claxon sounded, as Alpha Liam charged against Josh, knocking him to the ground. Instantly, Josh sprung back up onto his feet, and pushed Liam with both hands on his chest, sending him flying across the length of the arena.

Nicki sat with Chloe, holding the hand of her best friend as she watched the fight unfold in front of them.

“I feel sick.” Nicki stated.

“Hey, I will come with you to the bathroom.” Chloe stated, there was no way her friend was going anywhere alone right now.

“I will be okay, just wait and watch Josh Chloe.” Nicki stated.

“No Nicki, I am coming with you.” Chloe demanded.

“What is going on, Chloe?” Nicki stated. She knew her best friend was hiding something from her. She could tell the moment they had met up in the stands with her human parents.

“Nothing, I just don’t want you alone, after everything that has happened, especially as you are with child.” Chloe smiled.

“Okay, I believe that, but there is something you are not telling me. I know you Chloe, so don’t lie to me please.” Nicki stated, as the crowed all cheered, and Mrs Hancock went pale, looking into the arena.

Chloe sighed, then looked at her best friend.

“Can we wait till after the games are finished, please Nicki,” Chloe asked.

“Okay, but I need to get to the bathroom because I know the b***d on the field right now is Joshu’s and I really am going to vomit.” Nicki sighed.

They walked down the steps of the stand and headed towards the pack house, bathroom. Nicki suddenly bent over, unable to go any further and began to be sick, as Chloe held back her hair.

“Josh won the match,” Nicki declared between wretches. She was both happy and sad, because he had to face another fight, and she really wanted this to be over with.

“Finished?” Chloe asked.

“Yeah think so.” Nicki nodded, and they turned back so that they could applaud Josh together, when a voice sounded across the field.

“That’s her, that is my daughter.”
