The Headmaster Alpha's Mate
The Headmaster Alpha’s Mate Chapter 79

Nicki felt a shiver rush through her, she felt like all her oxygen had been stolen from her body, her head spinning. She looked at Chloe , her eyes wide with shock.

“How is he here?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

“He found someone who took him in and paid for him to come back to the UK. I just found out, we were going to tell you after Josh had finished his fights. I am sorry I kept it from you Nicki.” Chloe whispered, letting out a heavy breath.

“Mam, we need to get Mam away.” Nicki began to panic.

“I have already linked with Andrew and given him the heads up.” Chloe informed her best friend.

Nicki’s hands began to shake, as she watched on over the field, two police officers accompanying her sad excuse of a father over the vast expanse of open field.

Josh was suddenly beside her, still covered in Alpha Liam’s b***d from the match, Robin and Zander not far behind him.

“What is happening, you are terrified!” Josh exclaimed, gathering his mate into his arms.

“Look!” Nicki exclaimed, as a large tear escaped her eye and fell onto her cheek.

“s**t!” Josh g*****d.

Zander glanced at Chloe and momentarily closed his eyes, slightly shaking his head. They had not had time to inform the rest of the guys about the father’s arrival, or to work out what, or who was behind it. Turning his head towards the approaching three figures, Zander noticed that he did not recognize the two officers accompanying Mr Davis.

“Are they werewolves?” Robin whispered.

“Not that I can smell. I believe they are human. Tell Lacey to warn everyone in the crowd,” Zander ordered.

Running footsteps sounded from behind them as Cheryl rushed towards her daughter, Andrew following behind, placing his hand on her shoulder to help keep her calm.

“We play this in accordance with human law. Unless they have a warrant, they are not granted access. Nicki, Cheryl I want you to tell them you want to make a statement regarding the abuse you both suffered when living with this man, but that you will come to the station to make the statement. We need to get them out of here.” Zander growled in frustration.

“They are both here, see, they were kidnapped.” Tony Davis exclaimed loudly, pointing at Nicki and Cheryl.

Suddenly Cheryl felt empowered, too long had that man controlled her life, made her afraid to speak out, but no longer, she was going to have her say, and she was going to do that right now.

Stepping forward, Cheryl stood in front of her daughter.

“Officers, thank you for coming, I see you have arrested my husband for the abuse he subjected both myself and my daughter to for 18 years.” Cheryl stated, her voice filled with confidence.

The officers halted in their tracks, they were momentarily taken back by her accusation.

“Mrs Davis I presume.” The taller of the officers stated, his grey hair slicked back.

“That is right, and this is my daughter Nicola, or you can call her Nicki.” Cheryl smiled, knowing all too well her husband hated anyone not giving their daughter her full name, and watched as he bristled, then huffed out.

“Mrs Davis, Mr Davis has reported that you and your daughter have been kidnapped and living in a cult.” The officer declared.

“No officer, I left my husband after years of abuse, beatings, which were starting to escalate when he found out my daughter was with her now fiance.” Cheryl declared.

“You stole all my money!” Mr Davis began to shout and rushed forward towards her in a threatening manor.

Andrew instantly stepped in front of Cheryl, as Josh held Nicki to his chest in a bid to keep her calm, concern filling him about the effect the stress was having on their baby.

“Really? how could I steal all your money, when it was in a joint account, that you never gave me access to or the pass codes for the account.” Cheryl declared.

“This is true, officer, when Cheryl came here, I had to set up two accounts for her and Nicki. She has been working at the school, to earn her own money,” Zander interrupted.

“I am a witness to his physical abuse of my fiancee. He hit her in my presence, because she collected small ornaments,” Josh stated.

The officers both looked at each other. This was not what they were expecting, they did not even want to make the trip up to Scotland to follow the accusations, but for some reason, when they had contacted the local station they had been getting the run around. However, as they were out of their jurisdiction, there was not a lot they could do about any of it anyway, a fact they had told Mr Davis on numerous occasions. It would ultimately be up to the local police.

“Officers, I really would like to press charges against my father, for his physical and emotional abuse of me. However, as you can see, it is a shock to see him, and I do not feel safe in his presence, so I would like for you all to leave, and my mother and I will head to the local station in the next few days to make our statement, so that you can investigate and arrest him.” Nicki spoke.

“I agree, and my fiance is in the early states of her pregnancy, this stress is not good for her or our baby.” Josh interacted, placing his hand over her stomach as if to shield his child from what was going on around them.

“PREGNANT. Arrest him, he had s*x with my daughter.!” Mr Davis called out.

“How old are you miss?” The second officer gently asked.

“I am 18, a legal adult, and I did not enter into a s****l relationship with my fiance until my eighteenth birthday and after he proposed.” Nicki said, the heat on her cheeks showing how uncomfortable she was feeling about talking to these men regarding her s*x life.

“Mr Davis, your daughter is an adult, as is your wife, and they appear to be here of their own free will.” The grey-haired officer stated, he was fed up with this case, he knew it was bull s**t the moment the man had walked into the station in Newcastle upon Tyne.

“Officers, if that is all, we have our local games to conclude, Cheryl and Nicola will come to the station by the end of next week to be interviewed about this man’s abuse, which was witnessed by four people here today.” Zander stated. He knew the officers had no legal right to remain, especially as they were from England, but still he was concerned that nobody from the local station had informed them of their arrival and what to expect.

“Can we take a look around now we are here?” The other officer asked.

“I am sorry, but we are busy at present. Unless you have a warrant, then I am afraid I must ask you to leave, as this is upsetting my brother and his fiancee, who is in a delicate state, along with her mother, and her new boyfriend.” Zander stated.

“BOYFRIEND! YOU f*****g w***e, JUST YOU WAIT TILL I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, FILTHY SLUT!” Mr Davis shouted, his mask finally dropping.

“There he is ladies and gentlemen, my ex-husband,” Cheryl declared, shaking her head in disgust.

“Mr Davis, we must leave now.” The smaller officer declared.

“Mrs Davis, Miss Davis, I would recommend you report your allegations to your local station. I am sure they will take the case very seriously.” The grey-haired officer smiled kindly at both Nicki and Cheryl.

“Thank you officer, now, if you do not mind, we are enjoying our day, and I must beg that my girlfriend’s daughter be allowed to get some rest. Look at how pale she is seeing this despicable man again. It is not good for her. As her doctor, I must ask that she be left in peace now.” Andrew intervened.

“Of course, sorry to disturb you.” The officers both said, then turned the angry Mr Davis around, and began to leave, as he still screamed his obscenities about Cheryl being a disgusting w***e.

Chloe took a breath, the matter had been easily dealt with in the grand scheme of things, but something felt wrong in her tummy, and she could not put her finger on what it was, then with a frown she looked at Zander.

“Where are my parents?” she asked.

“They were in the stands,” Zander stated with a small frown, understanding instantly what Chloe was concerned about.

“Why are they not here? Did they not come specifically to warn us and to help if the police showed up?” Chloe asked, her eyebrows lifted in a question.

“Maybe they did not know that the police had arrived, after all, it happened suddenly.” Zander told her, attempting to play the devils advocate, but he had to admit he was suspicious. After all, Chloe’s parents really did not need to make the journey. They could have told them over the phone, and the man had arrived not long after they had. It all seemed too coincidental for his liking.

Chloe looked at her mate, the feeling in her gut increasing.

“We need to replace them now.” Chloe declared, then stalked out towards the stands where she had last seen them.

Chloe searched the Crescent Moon stand for her human parents, but she could not replace them anywhere. She expanded her search to the rest of the arena, and shook her head, they were nowhere to be seen.

“Guy’s please can we split up, and search the grounds, also check the pack house, something is off.” Chloe stated, more sure than ever that her parents were involved in something. Her mind going a million miles per hour, she looked at Zander.

“I don’t like this” she declared.

“I know my princess, I hate to say it, but I don’t either.” Zander sighed.

“The question is, are they willingly involved in some distraction plan, and if so, what the hell are they trying to distract us from!”
