Chapter 37

The boys had gotten the answers we needed if this pack chose to go with us so that helped me feel a bit at ease. They had plenty of room between cabins and the pack house. There were plenty of jobs available in all the different parts of the pack and even jobs inside the town if that is what they wanted. The kitchen workers were excited to be making food for another pack who was in need and wanted to know about any allergies. They decided to give us plenty of food options and to just let them know if anyone had a severe allergy. I needed to remember to ask everyone. And the warriors were already on their way here. They had about 15 of them headed here in four different trucks with two pulling a trailer.

“I am so thankful for your pack. Oliver didn’t give the best impression of them and didn’t allow them to help our as much as they wanted to, huh?” I said grabbing Andrew’s hand and rubbing my thumb on the back of it.

“You mean OUR pack, Alpha.” Asher smirked and I growled back. “Our father… our s***m donor was a real piece of work but he wasn’t always like that. I have good memories of him up until our mother passed on. He couldn’t keep her safe and I think that is what broke him. I am not making excuses for him because he was a real s**t head. “He shook his head and decided not to continue.

“I am sorry this all happened to you and to our pack. Things will get back to the good old days and we will leave them in better shape than we found them, ok?” They all nodded in agreement.

We waited for a bit longer before heading in to see what the pack had decided. Everyone was seated and eerily quiet which caused my thoughts to plummet to negative ones. We walked back to the front taking a seat and waited for them to give us an answer.

The beta stood up and looked over at us,” It took a while to get an answer most of the pack agrees with. There are some concerns that we have but even with the information we have we have decided to move to your other pack land. What is the name of the other pack? Have we heard of them?” He seemed a little less stressed but had his guard up. I was just hoping he hadn’t heard anything bad about the pack they were going to move to.

“I am so glad that you all have decided to start over where you can build more friendships and have a strength in numbers again. The pack is Raging Moon.” I heard a few gasps, and I knew this was going to be a problem. I looked over at my mates and they had the same expression.

‘The pack has a bad reputation, doesn’t it?’ I mind linked them and they grimaced before nodding. Damnit Jim! Blue snorted and pushed farther into my eyes so she could get a good read on the pack.

“Are you kidding me? There is no way I am letting my mate step foot in that power-hungry pack! I would rather stay here and take on the next round of vampires by myself!” This was a member that hadn’t spoke out yet so I checked him out and his mate beside him. ‘She looks like she is scared of him from the way she jerks when he gets close or when he is loud. Do you think they allow their mates to treat them badly?’ Blue was concerned. I just told her I had no idea.

“Two things. One the old Alpha is now dead by my hands or paws I should say.” I had a small laugh at that and only a few members laughed with me but they were my new favorites. “ I run that pack now and I have gotten rid of several of the bad seeds. More and more are getting the eviction notice as we speak. Second, I don’t really care what a piece of s**t like you thinks. Beating up on your fated mate? Thinking your big man on campus and are above anyone else? If you had any power behind you or your wolf I would actual know your name but alas I am currently calling you a douche canoe in my head.” Blue ripped a growl out of my mouth afterwards. I could see everyone’s confusion about what I said, even my mates looked a bit baffled.

“You have no right to speak to me like that. Are you going to let this useless female speak to me like that?” He started to walk toward me but stopped when my mates stepped in front of me. I rolled my eyes at their protectiveness but smiled alongside Blue on the inside.

The beta looked at him and at me before speaking. “Ryder, can you explain what you mean please? This man and his family have been with us for many years and treats he wife with respect every time I see them.”

“I can explain and show you. Notice how she flinches when his voice gets loud or when he clenches his fists?” She was doing it right now and everyone saw it. I smirked. “It is a sign that he usually does something to her after he gets this way. Do you also see how she is hunched over a bit and has a slight grimace when moving in her seat? She most likely has a bruised back and stomach from his fists raining down on her too many times. Have one of the ladies check her body for the bruises. I’ll wait…” I felt myself getting a bit defensive but did my best to fight it. This was about showing the women that their mates could not get away with this.

The beta mentioned for one of the ladies to look but when she got close to the mans mate he freaked out. He shoved her back and stood in front of his mate growling at everyone. He looked at me and snarled a warning. I took it as a challenge so I started my way over to him.

“No one is going to touch what is mine. She is clumsy that is why she has bruises. She is treated as she should be…” He didn’t get to finish that lie before I had my hand around this throat choking him.

“You, sir, are the biggest sack of s**t I have ever seen. We all know your lying to save your own a*s and don’t give two shits about your mate just from the little things you have said and how you have said them. Now we are going to have a nice chat with your mate and get her medical attention.” I nod my head toward the Beta and the lady he had shoved back for them to move in and take her. “While that happens, I am going to show you how it feels to get the s**t beat out of you without being able to do anything back to defend yourself.” Before he could try to respond I pressed harder on his throat and punched him in the stomach with my other hand.

His eyes bulged out and his body needed to cough but I wouldn’t let his throat go. He started to freak out and started to claw at my hands. I waited until he was about to pass out before letting go. He fell to the floor coughing hard enough to make his eyes water. I looked down at him and laughed before kicking him in his stomach over and over like that had probably done to his mate who knows how many times before.

“Please, no more. I get it. I will treat her better and I will never lay another hand on her.” He begged full on sobbing and holding onto his stomach.

“Awe. What a baby. Look at this little boy who can’t take what he dishes out. How many times has your mate begged you to stop? How many times did you actually stop? How many times did you laugh at her pain and continue until she passed out? ANSWER ME!” I was losing my cool and Blue wanted to come out so badly. I had to keep pushing her back so that I could deal with this and I had to promise her to take her on a run after this was done. She wanted to go hunting and get some anger out.

“I have no… no idea what your talking about…” He tried to stand but I shoved him back down before starting to kick him over and over in the back.

“TELL THE PACK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO YOU MATE. I COMMAND YOU AS A ROYAL WOLF.” Blue put her voice with mine. We were ready to end this charade.

“I hit my mate because she is pathetic. How could the goddess pair me with such a waste of space?! I show her how useless she is. If she isn’t pleasing me in some way I have no use for her so I hurt her. I want her to feel pain all the time and only than can I be happy.” He smiled at me like a crazy person and I lost it.

I jumped on top of him and started raining down punches to his face, throat, shoulders. Really anything I could hit. My mates had to pull me back before I killed him in front of the pack. I looked around and I saw how scared they were. I had instant regret and looked at the floor. I just hated this. I once saw my uncle beating my aunt and I couldn’t do anything about it. She made me promise not to tell anyone because he would kill her. I didn’t believe her at the time but I wouldn’t chance it.

The beta came back in and saw what the damage I had caused was. He looked at me and then back at the man on the floor. “Isaac your mate confessed the same time you did. You are the waste of space and a waste of a wolf. Your mate is on her way to pack her belongings since she is going with us. You are not.” The beta turned toward me but before he could speak Isaac screamed.

“You cannot banish me. You are not the alpha. My mate belongs to me. She is mine. She will go where I go and do as I say.” He tried to get up but two of my mates held him down on his knees so he couldn’t move.

“He may not be Alpha but I am. I agree with the Beta. Also I want the whole pack to watch as she rejects you and leaves you in the dust. Then Ill introduce her to all the mate less guys at Raging Moon and hope she picks the best one there.” I turned toward my mates, “Have two warriors take them to their jail and let’s go on a run. Blue needs to meet your wolves properly.” With that I walk out.
