Candace's POV

I wasn't going to go down without a fight. The biggest mistake they made was not to kill me or banish me. June was looking at me intently as I told her my plan, she wasn't too convinced now.

"A powerful spell, Candace, a witch can never ally with a shifter and you'll die once the truth is revealed," She tried to reason but I was adamant. I will get that b***h back for embarrassing me and forcing the love of my life to leave me like I am nothing. I watch them every day, playing the part of the perfect Luna. The people's favorite Luna, like hell I'll watch that happen. "You're my best friend but I'm sorry, I can't be part of it," June said. I glared at her.

"You suggested it,"

"Not literally, it was a joke!" She exclaimed and I rolled my eyes. My aunt told me that far from here resides a dark witch, not all know about her but she does some spells for a favor and I want her to break what bond the Alpha Edward and Caliana have, they will separate and he will choose me, I'll be his perfect Luna and not Caliana Meyers. I smirked at the plan. I sighed and smiled at June, I wouldn't want her running her mouth if she knew I proceeded with the plan.

"You're right, it's too dangerous and Alpha Edward doesn't excite me anymore after he started clinging to that mate of his like a puppy," I laughed and drank my wine, she eyed me suspiciously but found nothing. After separating from June, I went home to get some jewelry and cash then got into the car and drove to the airport. It was a two day trip and I was ready to take it.

It was a long flight but It was comfortable as it was business class. After I landed, I rented a car and followed the map my aunt told me to the witch. I drove through the dusty road and I thought I was lost, there was no one or any house in sight. The woods were thicker and the night was darker. Frustrated, I turned the car but in the corner of my eye, I saw a small house with a light bulb outside.

It must be the house! I drove towards it and stopped in the driveway, I reluctantly got out of the car and approached the door. There was no bell door so I knocked, once, twice, and thrice, just like Aunt told me to. The door opened and I stepped in, it was dark and scary, my Lycan was urging me to run away from there, she hated the aura around the house. My heart was beating out of my chest. I started to back away from what looked like the living area to the door when I bumped into someone. I yelped as I faced the dark witch. She waved her fingers and there was light.

"Hello," She grinned at me, I was stunned. She wasn't at all what I expected, she looked normal. The witch caressed my face with her long dark nails.

"Hi," My voice quivered.

"How may I help you?" She asked slowly. Her eyes were changing color and it made me uneasy. The witch directed me to a small dining area. I swallowed as I explained my situation. She smiled charmingly at me but also in a way that says you're stupid. "I'm sorry, dear. I have no power to break a mate bond, no one has," She told me and I snarled

"You're a dark witch, you do the forbidden!"

"TONE!" Her voice was hoarse and I calmed down, scared that she might harm me. I'm a strong Lycan but this is not my territory and the witch can paralyze me with a flicker of her hands. "Apologies," I said. She only glowered at me.

"Look here girly, it doesn't matter how strong or dark I am, there are things fate won't tolerate, however, for a price, I can help you come up with another solution," She suggested. My eyes lit up immediately and I made an attempt to hold her hand but anger rose in her and she hissed.

"Don't touch me,"

"I'll do anything," I told her.

"Okay, I want your blood, hair, nails, and cash, lots of it. I'm running low on those as I'm on a run from the mage," She said. I cringed, why would she even want my blood and all that? "Why would you need all that?" I asked carefully.

"Take it or leave my home. I have elsewhere to be," She stood up. The f*****g witch was so rude.

"So are your thoughts," She retorted, did she just read my thoughts? "No, I didn't, you murmured the words,"

"I'm sorry,"

"I'd kick you out right now but as I said, I require what you have, I need to put distance between me and the covens," She grumbled in the last part.

"So what did you have in mind," I asked and she smirked, crossing her arms against her chest.

"I need to cast a spell, a powerful one to deceive your lover, and what happens next is all on you, dear Lycan," She had a devious look in her eyes and I reciprocated it. I was living for this. The witch patiently explained the plan to me and I grimaced. "So, I take Caliana's face and sleep with him? What guarantee do I have that she'll leave him?"

"Well, it's 50/50, I hope for your sake this invader doesn't confront the male and leaves peacefully but I can't count on it if I were you," She said nonchalantly, it was worth a try and when I get caught, I shall think of a way out as I always do. "Alright, I'll do it, start," I inhale and get ready but she doesn't start her chant instead, she pulls out a huge needle and my eyes close as I fall to the ground.
