POV

It has been three days since we've been here and I was getting bored with all the long meetings, and bickering between the Alphas every day. I interacted with my cousin, King Leondre before joining the others at the party. I listened to him as he talked about his "I'm happy you finally found your mate, finally the people have a queen," I told him and he nodded, gulping his drink.

Yep, my cousin was a goner, he looked and talked like a man in love. I touched his shoulders seriously and said " Because she was only born about five or six years after you were?" I chuckled and he nodded.

"How are things with you and your mate?" He asked me. Eyeing me intently. A smile made its way to my face as I thought about my Caliana, she was so lovely and strong. I was blessed to have her and it was a shame it took me so long to realize it "We are doing well," I said. My cousin didn't believe me, most didn't. Everyone knew just how much I loved Jane Anne and what her betrayal did to me.

"That's unexpected," Leondre murmured.

"I'm happy with Caliana, she touched my heart," I said smiling to myself.

"I'm glad to hear that then, and I hope you discarded that other woman," He said, my family hated Candace, they always thought she was a power-hungry w***e and didn't bother hiding their disdain, especially, Jamal and Leondre. "I did, she's not allowed thirty feet from me, ordered by my Luna," I informed him and he laughed.

"It would be best if she transferred to another pack, women like that just don't let go of things so easily, they become so obsessed, and believe me, she will try something, a last card. Anaiah and I have had a similar problem," "You think?"

"Yes. she should leave the pack for good. As for me, Anaiah just beat up the woman and she submitted luckily, she is not from my pack or my mate would kill her," He grinned, proud of his beloved.

I was happy for Leondre, he has been wanting his mate since we were only young boys. He vowed to treat her right, like a queen and I'm sure he'd give her the world if he could.

"You're right, honestly, things are going so well with Caliana and I don't wanna mess it up hence, I'll have Candace leave the pack asap," I told him.

Caliana made it clear that she hated that woman, I was wrong to keep her in the pack after she attacked her.

We went back to the party and a few ladies

threw themselves at us. I shook my head and recoiled, shifters are a sucker for power. I glared at the women who tried to be too friendly with me, I didn't even replace them attractive and I was missing Caliana more.

I stayed longer in bed and had drinks before I called it a night. I went up to my suite, and I was surprised to smell the faint scent of my mate. I rushed there and her intoxicating fragrance was stronger. We just spoke today and she didn't mention coming. I opened my door quickly and indeed, my mate was standing against a tall window, smiling at me.

"Caliana, I didn't know you were... Oh my... how did you get here," I was at a loss for words. She was looking like a sort of seductress in her small lacy nightwear and wet hair.

"Well, I wanted to surprise you," She smiled. I pulled her close to me and crashed my lips on her, the lips that I'd been craving. I wanted more and more of her and she gave ten times more like always. I pulled away to look at her and cupped her face. "What about your pack,"

"I left and used your jet to come here. Edward, I was missing you so much," She said, kissing my lips again.

"I missed you too but I wish you told me so I could pick you up from the hangar," I told her.

"It wouldn't be much of a surprise," She giggled. I missed her cute laugh too.

"And how did you know we'd be here,"

"Your secretary gave me all the details, you know what, I don't want to talk right now," She said, letting her dress fall to the ground and the only words that left my lips were, "f**k,"

Candace's POV

I couldn't believe how things were working in my favor. It happens that Alpha Edward is not in the pack, he was at a seminar in Europe and will make my task easier. The dark witch f*****g did it, I had Caliana's face, body, and scent. I stripped naked and looked into the mirror, touching my breasts. They were smaller than mine but were enough to make them desirable and feminine. I hated to admit it but she did have a sensual body. Is it why Edward dumped me for her? I was liking it and might just stay in it a while longer. 'He didn't dump you, Candace, you weren't even in a relationship!' Muttered my Lycan. She hates this.

'We were in a relationship!' I snapped, feeling defensive.

'You were just his f**k for when he's stressed, and you were willing to be. Alpha Edward made no promises to anything more,'

'Shut up,' I snarled at her

'You're going to get caught and when you do, the Alpha won't spare you,' She warned but I paid no mind to her. I didn't come this far to quit. My cell phone rang, it was an old lover of mine, Jon. I asked him to keep me updated about Caliana. "Hello," I answered. Jon was so in love with me that he'll do anything I asked him of, he asked no questions when I told him to trail Caliana.

"She's at the clinic, what is she doing there?"

"I don't know, but I can replace out," He said.

"Don't, I hope she's sick and dies," I joked, or did I? The only way to get what I wanted was if she died but am I capable of killing someone? The woman Alpha Edward loves? I was too confused, the witch said the spell she cast on me would wear off if I wouldn't go to renew it. This means, the b***h will need more cash and my blood, but being Alpha Edward's wife means I will have unlimited funds at my disposal, so I shouldn't worry.

"Just keep me informed of every move she makes, and Jon, thank you, my darling," I said sweetly. I can imagine him purring.

I called the Alpha's secretary since I already had her number in my phone and she gave me the name of the hotel he is staying in. I used his private jet, no one questioned me because I'm their Luna.
