POV

I woke up the next day feeling unwell. I didn't want to leave the house because it showed signs of heavy rain ahead but Emilia dragged me to the pack clinic anyway.

"I'm sure I ate something bad," I groaned, closing my eyes as we waited for the doctors.

"Oh my, how long have you been unwell, your eyes are dark,"

I searched for my phone to text Edward but I must have left it at home. I was nervous for some reason and my hands were trembling slightly. The door swung open and the doctor smiled at us before sitting down on his chair. "Congratulations Alpha, you are pregnant," He said. I was in shock, I didn't move or react and when I did, the only words that comes out of my lips were, "Wow,"

My hands flew to my stomach as I sat still, deep in thought. We didn't plan this nor have we ever talked about it before. Will he be happy with this? My heart began to race and fear crept into my heart, what if he doesn't want this? Emilia's soft hand on my cheek jolted me out of my thoughts, she was smiling and had tears in her eyes.

"Cali, you're going to be mom," She cried, tears were now running down her cheeks and I wiped them away, nodding.

"I'm going to be a mom," I whispered, again and again. I pulled her into an embrace and she held me for a long time. The doctor later took me to a small bed where I lay, he put cold gel on my stomach and used a machine, my eyes darted to the small screen, and the doctor smiled.

"Four weeks,"

All I could think about was sharing this news with my mate. The doctor called me back to his office and started telling me more. A knock sounded on the door and happy Emilia popped her head in,

"Hey, Levy wants my help urgently at the office, can you drive yourself home? Or I can call a taxi for you," She said.

"It's fine, I can drive," I said and she gave me the keys.

"So Alpha, as I was saying, you need to be extremely careful in this trimester," He told me and I nodded, after we were done discussing, I drove back home. I noticed that the clouds were darker and it was drizzling. I quickly got into the car and drove back to my house. I was careful not to speed since the roads were slippery now and I was wishing I should have let Emilia call a taxi for me. I put on the radio as I drove when I started feeling a familiar sensation in my chest, I swallowed and ignored it. I didn't want to think much of it. I gripped the steering wheel tightly when the pain intensified but it was gone just to start again. The pain I felt afterward was so immense that a scream left my mouth.

'Edward is with another woman, My wolf was vulnerable, disappointed, and just in shock as I was. Fear enveloped me, tears poured from my eyes and sobs escaped my lips as I breathed in and out, assuring myself that my mate wouldn't do this to me, not again, not now that he accepted me but the excruciating pain I was feeling said otherwise.

"Ouch!!!" I screamed. I felt like I was on fire and my chest was heaving

'He- He can't' I stuttered, assuring myself while trying to be steady as the road was narrow

'Stop the car, now, Liana's voice was strong all of a sudden just as another pain rippled from my chest. I tried to brake but I couldn't and just then, a truck hit my car, forcing me to tumble out of the road and my car flipped over a few times.

Between the constant pain I was feeling from the betrayal and my current situation, I cried in fear that I was going to die without meeting the baby in me. The truck that hit me didn't even stop to check at all. My body was numb and I was desperate to get out of the car I was trapped in, scared that it might explode as it was upside down.

I was finally feeling some movement in my joints and the first thing I tried to do was rip it off the seatbelt but it was stuck. The pain in my chest worsened and my eyes blurred with tears as I tried to scream for help but it only came out a whisper. No, this can't be how I die. I thought as darkness enveloped me.

My eyes fluttered open when I heard sounds and soon, the door was ripped off its hinges. I tried to keep my eyes open to no avail.

"Little Cali," I heard as darkness fully enveloped me.

I woke up a few hours later with a pounding headache and a burning sensation all over my body.

f**k mate. I muttered, holding my head. My eyes slowly adjust to the room I was in. It's a hospital, and I'm lying in a comfortable bed.

'Baby,' I heard my wolf's voice, and instantly, my hands flew to my stomach in worry. Is the baby safe? I was panicking and crying when the door swung open and a nurse in scrubs walked in. Seeing my hysteria, she rushed to me and spoke calmly, "You're okay, Luna Caliana, you had an accident and two gentlemen brought you here," She explained.

"I'm pregnant," I whispered and she smiles kindly at me

"Your baby is fine too," I let out a sigh of relief after she told me this. I was feeling so emotional and a tear rolled down my cheeks, another and another. The nurse was looking at me confused, unable to console my wailing any longer. The door opened and my breath got caught in my chest, I clumsily wiped my tears with the back of my hand. My lips were trembling and I couldn't formulate any words.

"Hi, Little Cali," He smiled at me. I choked on my sob.

"Tristin," I croaked and before I could react, his large arms embraced me. I cried for a long time as we hugged each other. His hand was stroking my back in a calming pattern. I only pulled away from him when I felt the presence of another. I glanced towards the door and there, a tall, intimidating man with sharp features stood. No doubt he was a Lycan Alpha, a powerful one from the aura he exuded. Tristin cleared his throat and the stranger sauntered to me, he smiled softly at me and all the tension I felt when he entered the room seemed to disappear.

"Cali, this is my friend and Alpha, Blanco Carter, B, this is my little Caliana Meyers," Tristin introduced us. Alpha Blanco stretched his hand, I thought he wanted to shake mine, but he wiped the tears from my cheeks.

I was embarrassed that a hot stranger saw me bawl like a child,

"It's nice to meet you, Alpha Blanco," I said, my voice still raspy from all the crying.

"I'm enchanted to meet you, Caliana Meyers," His eyes shone, and a smile formed on his lips.
