Caliana's

POV

"Then why hasn't he officially rejected you, yet?"

I have thought about that too. If he wanted me out of his life, he could have easily rejected me. A rejection is done face to face. He could have completely severed the bond and spared me the pain but it just showed how vicious he was by not doing that. He wanted to torment me still, he wanted me to feel pain every time he f****d her.

"To plague me, maybe," I sighed.

"But he has no reason to, you didn't hurt him at all,"

"I don't understand Edward's way of thinking honestly and I don't even want to. I just want to forget him," I did but it wouldn't be this easy because of the pain I feel each time he is with another woman. I hated to think about it. "But what if there is a conspiracy to break you two apart?"

"Oh dear, cupid, there was no scheme, he has another Luna as we speak right now," I could almost taste the bitterness on my tongue as I spat those words. I remember crying when Emilia told me that Candace is his new Luna. The b***h called my friends to brag and asked them to rely upon a message to me; to never get in contact with the Alpha or they will destroy everything I love if I disrupt the peace in the Golden Stone Pack. My heart was numb and I didn't want to think about that cheating bastard. I begged him to talk to me but he refused, now he will never know his child, that's his loss, not mine. The pretty Omega was in deep thought, chewing at her bottom lip.

"Just drop the issue, okay? I just want to move forward,"

"But you can't without any closure," She insisted.

"I have closure, I wasn't good enough for him and whatever closeness there was between us was because of the mate bond, I pray to the goddess that it will fade in a few years,"

I spent the next few hours watching friends and when the sun started to set, I decided to go out for a walk as always and Pauline joined me.

We were walking by the lakeside as always when I saw two girls from the harem slowly strolling in our direction. Pauline groaned and glared at the two women.

"Friends of yours?"

"No, meanies. We always get in a fight because they insult you even though they don't know you but Sophia, I detest most,"

"Don't enrage them to protect me, they might hurt you," I said seriously. This girl was too protective of me.

"Those haughty gems can only use their words but when it comes to throwing punches, I can take them down, and besides, they hate breaking nails more than the Alpha's new gem," She grinned and I shook my head. The ladies were too busy with whatever they were looking at on the phone, and Pauline was glaring at them.

"I can't be the only reason you dislike her," I said, following her gaze to the blonde-haired woman she was glaring at.

"It's a long story,"

"And who's the other one?"

"Deloras, Alpha Blanco's favored for years, but that changed when he met you, of course," Pauline told me.

"I'm not his favorite, I'm not even part of the circus," I grunted. Pauline always did this, making it seem like I'm part of the harem girls. She muttered something under her breath that I didn't hear just as the two girls came in earshot.

The two women's gazes roamed over me and mine did the same to them. Deloras was tall with flawless skin but her eyes are what stood out most, they are a gorgeous shade of blue and she could easily be the most beautiful of them all with her soft features that made her look like a doll. The woman next to her, Sophia, was as beautiful. They wore peplum tops that left their belly open and leather pants, with high-heeled boots, the women radiated confidence.

"We've heard about you," Sophia spoke, her voice unkind. I sighed briskly.

Sophie took a step forward but Pauline blocked her from my view.

"Do you want to anger Alpha Blanco, Sophia?" She spat, the omega's fists were clenched and if I didn't pull her away, she would punch her. I wondered why she had resentment towards Sophie.

"I don't want to exchange any words with her, she's not on my level, please tell her to move and don't speak to me again," Sophia hollered at me, and I raised my eyebrow, ignoring her.

"Move," I told Pauline silently, her neck twisted towards me in question but didn't challenge. I wanted to see what Sophia would do. She circled me.

"She's average," She commented, glancing back at her friend who was peering at me with a disdainful gaze.

"Indeed," Deloras commented for the first time, her voice soft.

"What does Alpha Blanco see in her?"

"What does he see in you," I retorted. I wasn't going to let them intimidate me.

"Stop circling me, you're making me dizzy," I said in a bored tone, and the woman pouted her cute lips

"Sophia, go and be on your way, this is not high school," Barked Pauline.

"Don't talk to me, Omega," She spat

"Wow, I love it when you use that word, which one of us should be the Omega?" Pauline said and Sophia gasped, she raised her hand to slap her but I held it and roughly pushed her aside, of course, clawing it intentionally. "You... You, how dare you touch me!" She growled, it was pathetic.

"What are you going to do about it?" I challenged her. She had no words about that, Sophia's lips were quivering as she glared at me.

"And you, just who do you think to come in here and try to seduce Alpha, Blanco-"

"When you speak to me refrain from using that tone and use my name," I told her calmly. Deloras next to her looked interested now and smiled tightly.

"There's a gem ball next week, come... I hope a pretty dress can make you less plain," Deloras looked me up and down. Sophia chuckled softly, holding her fingers to her mouth like some sort of lady. I scoffed and crossed my arms against my chest, aggravated by her insulting manner. "No thanks," I said.

"Scared to wear a dress, what's under those baggy pants?"

"As uneven as her hair, I bet," Sophia laughed. These girls were behaving like high school bullies yet Blanco boasts about how sophisticated and well-mannered they were. I kept my calm and refrained from punching them.

"Come to the party, Caliana, or are you scared?"

"Of what?" I growled.

"That you're not good enough to be one of us, no wonder you asked to be alone in that cottage," Sophia spat. I frowned, I wasn't even one of them.

"I'm not one of you,"

They rolled their eyes and Deloras waved "Whatever, Alpha Blanco is like that when he sees something new, always want to play with it but he will tire of her soon, she's nothing special,"

I glared at the girls as they left. I will go to their f*****g ball and show them.

"What is the Gem ball?" I asked Pauline and a smile formed on her lips as she murmured, finally some fun. She linked her arms to mine as she explained the ball to me.

"Let's get me a dress, I'm attending," I decided and she squealed.
