Marcos was a beautiful man. I was surprised when he followed me back to the cavern. He wanted to know more about me which I don't remember too well ever since I was taken from my home by those witches. It has been a couple of tough years between being

abducted, experimented on, and turned into what I hated most in the world. A wolf.

I have been struggling since I escaped the facility. No food or money. I went from place to place trying to survive but my memory was still hazy. My full name came back to me when Marcos asked about it. Marcos, a smile plastered on my lips just thinking about him, he lived in my head. Will he come back to see me? I wish he could, I loved meeting him.

I woke up the next morning bright and early, I went to the river to take a bath and wore my dress. I was frivolous and so was the beast inside me, the one that is always snarling. She was calm, hoping Marcos would come but to my disappointment, he didn't and I went back to bed.

"Today is the day he comes," I told myself as my eyes fluttered open... But like the day before, he didn't and my heart grew wary. Did he forget about me so soon? Marcos

I was f*****g furious when I learned that I have to leave the pack for three days for business. However, I was angrier at the Alpha's daughter, Eug, who continuously sent flirtatious comments my way. Last night after the party, I found her in my room and kicked her out but the b***h didn't just get the message because she came early in the morning again, that is why I was more than happy to go back home.

I was in the Alpha's office, and the old man was smiling at me. I knew what he wanted to discuss with me privately.

"So, Alpha, I called you here to propose something to you," He started. I slant back in my seat, and Eun walked in. She had a ridiculous smile on her lips and I almost cringed at the blush on her face. "Speak," I urged the old man.

"You are a powerful Alpha, and I want you to marry my first daughter, Eug. So that together, you should lead this pack," He sighed, drinking his liquor. My gaze traveled to Eug, she was a pretty girl, too pretty and desperate. I didn't like that, also, my heart and inner Lycan already chose Elaine as ours, she made an impact on our lives and I want to be with her in all ways. I sighed and placed my hands on the table

"I met someone already and I plan on taking her as my chosen mate," I told him directly, and he huffed and cursed inwardly.

"Whose daughter is she?" He growled.

"What! No! Daddy, I want him!" Eug screamed, tears now rolling down her cheeks. I badly wanted to leave because all this was awkward and embarrassing for them.

"It must be the Stafields, right? I knew that bastard will reach out to you," He spat. I shook my head.

"No, she's not an Alpha's daughter," I informed them. Alphas often marry their daughters off to powerful men for security but in this case, Alpha Arnold only has daughters and doesn't trust the first daughter to lead a pack so he will look for someone with an Alpha bloodline.

"Then who is this woman, how can you not marry an Alpha's daughter, you're an Alpha!"

"Well, I didn't fall for an Alpha's daughter," I retorted calmly.

"Then you will never lead a pack of your own," He said.

"Do you know how massive our territory is? Must I remind you who I am?" I asked. I have an entire district that I lead and it's far bigger than this pathetic pack. He swallowed after my words and inhaled. "Please think about this, and I will wait for your answer," He said but I was resolute in my decision, I wasn't going to falter.

"There's no need to rush, we shall wait," He smiled and the girl next to him nodded. I didn't wait to keep going back and forth with them so I only nodded and left his office. I needed to go home, and visit Elaine. I missed her and she might think I abandoned her.

I didn't wait for any of my men and shifted into my Lycan form and ran to my pack. I was f*****g anxious and giddy like a teenager, I couldn't believe this. My Lycan howled loudly and ran faster into the house! My family only stared at me like a crazy man as I rushed to my suite. I took a bath and changed my clothes before trotting outside again.

"Yo, where are you rushing to?" Love asked, scowling. My niece is in her early teen years and is a monster! She is so mean but her mom said it's the hormones.

"Nowhere!" I said louder than I intended, I didn't want her mocking me.

"You look ridiculous and oh my goddess, what's that awful smell?" She sniffed me.

"Perfume?"

"It must be a girl no wonder you are smiling like an i***t, so pathetic," Love murmured and went past me. I glared at Caliana.

"Keep your daughter in check, she hurts my feelings you know," I grumbled, now conscious about the cologne I wore. It was just a little.

"It will pass," Caliana shrugged, " But where are you going in such haste?"

"I met a woman," I smiled at her proudly.

"Wow, I wasn't expecting that but lately nothing surprises me. Even Aerys likes girls," She scowled and I patted my nephew's head, he hates it when I do so I do it to annoy him. "Buddy, you like a girl?"

"Two actually, they are always fighting for my attention so I'll date them both," He grinned, nodding his head and I chuckled, time flies indeed. It felt like it was just yesterday when he was born and now, he likes the attention of girls. "Aren't you seven years old?"

"So? I can't help my good looks and aura," He said, arrogantly. Aerys didn't only take Edward's exact features but his superiority as well.

"You're right, buddy, you're still young, don't settle and play the field," I advised and walked away but Caliana stopped me.

"So when are we meeting this woman?"

"I don't know, I just met her," I said and she raised her eyebrows and laughed.

"What's funny?"

"You Chasias are the same," She got my attention now,

"How so?"

"You pretend to hate the idea of falling in love. You put on a ruthless facade but when you meet the right woman, you turn into puppies!" She laughed and I frowned, is that true?

"But it's good that you always know what you want when you spot it and go for it," My sister-in-law said and I smiled.

"Invite her over tomorrow for dinner,"

I didn't even have the chance to tell her about who she was when Athena cried and she rushed inside.

I reached my destination in five minutes, I found her sitting on the boulder, giving me her back but she sensed me. I could tell by how her body stiffened. "Hey," She didn't turn to me and I got worried.
