The Lycan's Soul Mate
Chapter 11 ultimatum

“Hello!” Luna greeted Lucian as she walked up to her parents for anexplanation but rather was sent to get ready for dinner. Luna excusedherself and did as she was told. How strange that her gym teacher befound at her house? Why was he here? It couldn't be because of anymisconduct on her part. She walked up the narrow stairs and overheardthem arguing in a low tone so as to not draw her attention. “She hasevery right to know. You cannot keep this from her. She needs herfamily, her real family. You will not be able to help her. I can. You needto decide. Either you tell her, or I will." You have until the end of theweek.

“Who do you think you are anyway? You can't just walk into our homeand place demands. You may be her blood but we raised her.” Michaelsaid.”Do you really want to test me on that? You wife lied to me and hidthe child from me. If there was ever a chance of us being civil andgetting past this, that time is long gone. You will be wise to talk downyour husband. I have the documents to support my claim. Speak withthe child and let her decide If you don't then I will.” He told them withan authoritative tone and left. Lucian was upset when he left Luna'shouse because of the rude reception that he'd received from Luna'sparents. “She wasn't even married to my brother and does not havelegal guardianship of Luna. Who does she think she is having her pet ofa husband talk about things that did not concern him? I should rip himto shreds for this insolence.” He was more concerned about Lunathough on this night especially. He decided to spend awhile outside ata safe distance to keep an eye on Luna but when nothing happened till2 Am, He left for a run in the woods thinking about how he could helpLuna without freaking her out.

Lucian growled as he began to shift. As his wolf emerged out of his skinLucian howled in pain as shifting was not always a gift as it was painfuleven after years of shifting. Lucian was a beautiful black wolf with greyeyes. He had a crescent moon mark on his neck. He disappeared intothe woods and it felt like home to him. Luna looked up at the moonand realized how big and beautiful it was.She stared at it and started tofeel hot. The heat was unbearable and she suddenly felt the urge to getout of the house. This is exactly how she felt on the night of herbirthday when she went missing. She didn’t want to repeat her pastmistakes so she left a note on her bed in the event that she did notreturn. “Guys, couldn't take the arguing so went to a friend's house. Beback in the morning.”

Luna jumped out of her bedroom window and bolted for the woods. She didn't know why she did what she did but she just felt that she hadto go into the woods. Luna ran and ran till she got to a creek deep inthe woods and got into the water as she was burning up. She felt likethere was something inside her that needed to get loose. The waterfrom the creek helped as it felt cool on her burning skin. She looked upat the moon in the clearing through the trees and let out a screamwhich to her surprise came out like a howl. She then felt her bonescracking, the pain was excruciating yet she felt relief with each crackingbone something seemed to emerge. Her jaws opened and grew herarms and legs all felt like legs and she did a summersault in the creekonly to realize that she was no longer human

Luna looked at herself in the creek and what she saw was amazing. Thishuge white wolf with blue eyes and a crescent moon tattoo on her hindleg. The tattoo was just like the one that Luna had on her butt. That washow she knew that the wolf staring back at her in the waters of thecreek was herself. She glared at the shadow then up at the moon andlet out a growl. "AOOOOOOOOOOOH" she howled. To her surprise shegot a response. "AOOOOO000000" The howl seemed to come fromthe distant wood. She growled to herself and explored the wood, sheran for what seemed to be hours and felt like she was looking forsomeone. It was just like the last time when she felt this pain and couldnot remember what happened when she awoke the next morning withblood on her face and hands. She looked up at the moon and saw ahuge black wolf with a full moon tattoo on its chest. She lay on herback and looked at the moon as she couldn't take her eyes off this wolf. She felt an attraction to it. She got a scent, a taste and could almostfeel it. She felt her heart fill up with emotion and eventually began torun as if towards the moon where she'd seen the wolf. She'd run forwhat seemed like hours but could not reach him. She needed that wolf. Her heart was breaking into a million pieces as she could not reach him.Luna growled in frustration then the image began to fade and the painreturned. She saw her hands emerge then her legs and saw that shewas butt naked seated on a tree stomp. Luna walked a few yards andwas able to sniff out her clothes. She came to the creek and found herclothes lying on the banks of the creek. She went ahead to wash herselfin the creek then got dressed and ran home. When she got to herhouse the sun had not yet risen. She looked around and as no one wasin sight she climbed up the side of the house and climbed into herroom.

She looked at the clock and realized that it was only 5:15 AM. She wentstraight to the shower then went to get ready for school. She let herparents get up as usual and then rushed down as was customary torush through breakfast and then take off for school. She hadn't neededthe note that she left as it had not been seen. They hadn't checked onher.

Luna left for school that day with a new feeling in her heart. “Love” Alove that she felt for a certain black wolf that had taken over her entirebeing. She had no idea what had happened to her more like why thishad happened to her but she didn't mind it. She loved it.
