Chapter 31 The Kiss

Luna was struck when she saw Nina Kissing luca under the mahoganytree. She wished that she was mistaken but her eyes were deceivingher. She watched as her heart broke once again. Nina was practicallydevouring Luca, and he was not stopping her. He held her by the waistand participated in the kiss. She watched as their tongues entwined andtheir mouths consumed each other. Just then she let out a growl andLuca came to his senses. He saw Luna and realized what had happened.He could not understand what had just happened and saw the hurt inLuna's eyes. He quickly pushed Nina away and walked toward Luna.She looked at him with pain in her eyes and ran off into the woods.Luca was inclined to go after her but he could not. Something washolding him back. He stayed at Nina's side until the evening.Throughout the day Luca felt torn. His heart was with Luna but his bodydid otherwise. It didn't feel real and She kept spraying him with thisperfume. He didn't even like the scent. What was going on. He neededto break free from what ever this was. He knew that it was not normalwhat was happening to him but he didn’t know how to fix it.

“Luca!” his father emerged from the trees and Luna ran as she knewthat Luca's father would know what she had done. She had beenwarned by her mother but she so loved the power that she had overLuca that she decided to enjoy it. Now she'd been seen and no doubtthe prince would have her hunted when he found out. “Luca, what iswrong with you! Get my son to the palace and replace the elder!”

The palace guards pick up Luca and like lightning took him to thepalace. Luca's father was sure that it was witchcraft and immediatelysummoned Luna“s uncle and Nina's parents along with Nina. Everyonemade haste and were present except Nina. Her adopted parents had noidea where she was. This just confirmed the prince's suspicions. Hehowever kept his calm and awaited word from the elder and spirithealer.

Luca could not speak but he had his wits about him. It was just that hehad no control of his body. “What the hell is going on? What did thatbitch do to me? I will have her head when I recover from this. She setme up and possibly drugged me with this perfume. She made me lookweak and horrible in Luna's eyes. I will Kill her when I recover from this.”He thought to himself. Luca lay still as the healer did her thing. She hadidentified the problem and told Luca's father that Lt was a love spellthat was used on Luca and as the person used too much it paralyzedLuca and that he would be ok but it would take some time to recover.Luca's father was furious. He asked Nina's parents to bring her to himwhen she got home and to speak nothing of it to her. The two wereembarrassed and ashamed and angry. They couldn't believe that theirlittle girl could do something so demeaning and especially to the futureking. They were beside themselves with emotion. It was night and noone had seen or heard from Nina. This only made her situation worse.Lucian returned to his house and failed to tell Luna what had happenedas he was more concerned of what had just happened to Luca. Whatwas done to Luca was similar to what had been done to his pack'sAlpha by the witch, only difference was that instead of a love potion hewas poisoned. Thankfully he recovered but the damage had alreadybeen done. He couldn't help but wonder whether the witch was inanyway involved in this. If so, what could be the motive? What do theywant? Why did they use the prince? And how is Nina involved. AsLucian sat in deep thought in the kitchen at the table, Luna walked inand as she was not in the mod to talk to anyone simply went up to herroom. The two lost in thought.

Luna sat on her bed tears flowing down her cheeks uncontrollably asshe replayed the image of Nina kissing Luca and him kissing her backunder that damn mahogany tree. Her heart was already broken. She feltdefeated to a love that was yet to be acknowledged. Her powers wereready to perform. She wanted to burn Nina to a crisp hell before doingthat she wanted to beat her till she was broken and then burn her butshe had no right to do so. Luca had not chosen her. She didn’t evenknow whether there was anything between them.

All she had were a few glances, an erection from him that could havebeen imagined, and a few displays of affection from Luca. He nevercame out to tell her that he loved her, or wanted her or even kissed herlike he did Nina. She only got a peck on her forehead and probably soshe would feel better. He'd probably done it out of pity. And there shewas walking on air thinking that she would be chosen by a prince, thelove of her life. She sat on the bed torturing herself with the image ofthat kiss and her heart broke. She felt heart wrenching pain from it all.“Luna, come to your senses. What gave you the idea that someone likehim would even consider you as his mate. Come to your senses. He'sknown her all his life. Who knows how long they'd been doing it. Whydid you get your hopes up? Luna, come to your senses. Please. Youcannot appear to be this weak.” With that she got into the shower andwent straight to bed, seeking solace and comfort in her dreams.
